She leaned in slowly, stopped when she was two meters away, and whispered: "My honorable lord, is there something I can do for you?"

The man standing alone didn't seem to be surprised by Anna's voice. He slowly turned around. That young and handsome face had the pride that was fitting of the identity of a genius mage and the son of a duke.

"I need you to leave." He said calmly.

It wasn’t that he looked down on Anna as a maid; it was more so that he was indifferent, and paid no attention to her. Afterwards, he turned his head back around, not bothering to wait for her answer

Anna was not too surprised by his attitude. The line between nobles and commoners in this world was very distinct. After all, there was only one person who did not care about the difference between nobles and commoners, and that was "Young Master Parris” post-demon possession.

She was still holding onto a sliver of hope, and wanted to know more about the Mage Association and mages, but now it seemed that she was too wishful.

After being rejected, Anna didn't have the intention of bothering him further, so she relaxed her footsteps and quickly left.

Waldo waited for Anna at the door, and helped her bring the food container.

Anna thought she would see the demon in the bedroom, but he was wearing loose sleepwear and sat casually in the sun room.

Rothgarr was in a bad mood now.

Because of more than one thing.

The human body was really too weak. He hadn’t felt pain in a long time. If it hadn’t been for Balan’s bet, he would have left this body long ago—"possession" could only be used once for the same body, and he hadn’t used Parrish's body to win that human woman, so of course he couldn’t leave.

It was another kind of discomfort to him to endure the pain while also enduring the cleansing of the light power. Of course, the weak priest didn't have any substantial amount of light power that could cause him harm, but he instinctively hated the light power.

And just now, he seemed to see that human woman talking to that genius mage.

Rothgarr knew that the human woman Anna had great ambitions, and what she wanted was his absolute devotion. Oh, he would surely "satisfy" her in the way she wanted.

However, it now appeared that she had a new goal.

Parrish’s memory contained information about this mage. His name was Ulysses Russell. He was the second son of Duke Russell. Although he did not have the right to inherit the position of Duke, he was the most gifted fire elemental pro. He was promoted to a four-star mage at a young age. He had sustained injuries when capturing a demon beast. Because there was no Mage Association in Blue Rock City, he temporarily stayed in the earl estate to recover from his injuries.

Human beings were no different from creatures in the demon world in terms of worshiping the strong. One side, there was the son of an ordinary earl with no affinity for supernatural elements, and on the other side was the son of a rare, young four-star mage who was also the son of a duke. Someone like Anna, who was smarter and more ambitious than ordinary humans, long had an answer in her heart regarding these two men.

"Young Master Parrish."

Rothgarr heard a  sound coming from behind and looked sideways.

Anna still had her head lowered to avoid looking directly at the demon. She took out the exquisite and steaming meal from the food box.

Rothgarr looked at Anna, and retrieved Parrish’s memory. His facial expression became a bit lost: "Dear Anna, you have always refused to agree to marry me. Is it because you have fallen in love with someone else?"

Anna was slightly surprised. Did her three plastic friends pass the words she told them to the demon?      She glanced at the demon quickly, mainly to observe his real expression. It was really scary; his pale and gloomy face seemed to be more depressing, as if he might flip the table at any time!

"It’s nothing like you say," Anna resolutely denied, "I don't know where you heard this from. This kind of thing is completely untrue. I didn’t fall in love with anyone."

"No one told me, I saw it myself," Rothgarr nodded in the direction of the window. "I saw you with Ulysses Russell."

Ulysses Russell?

Was that the name of that young and handsome four-star mage? He was not the person she casually mentioned to the three people.

Anna made a note of the mage's name and a look of suspicion crossed her face: "You mean... that noble mage just now?"

Rothgarr didn’t know if Anna was playing stupid or if she really didn’t know, so he carried on saying: "A 23-year-old four-star mage is really amazing. Generally, a 23-year-old elemental mage would still be stuck at two stars. I understand your look of admiration for such a genius very well."

If that’s the case, the level of an element mage starts at one star and goes up? She still didn’t know if there was a topmost level.

Anna extracted some more important information from the demon’s words, and quickly denied it in order to prevent the devil from flipping the table over in anger, "Young Master Parrish, you really misunderstood. I just happened to see the noble mage there alone, and was afraid that he needed assistance

, so I asked him. I'm just a maid, I only want to do my best job."

"Really?" Rothgarr responded in a non-committal way. Even though he couldn't see any flaws in what Anna said, he didn't fully believe her.

This human woman sas smarter than other humans and very good at disguising herself. Just by listening to what she said, it was hard to figure out her true intentions.

He had to observe a bit more.

Moreover, even if she changed her goal, it would not affect him much. Rather, if she wanted to take down the mage, she must succeed as quickly as possible because the mage was only here to heal his injuries and would leave soon. And as long as Rothgarr "possessed"the mage, he could easily achieve his goal.

Anna quickly said: “I swear by the goddess, what I said is true."

Rothgarr snorted, but before Anna reacted, he said deliberately: "Ulysses Russell is only temporarily recovering from his injuries and will leave soon. You don't have to worry about him next time you see him."

His words, in the eyes of most people, would be understood as a man's jealousy towards his love rival. Waldo thought so, anyway.

But Rothgarr said so to let Anna understand that if she didn’t hurry up, the opportunity would slip away.

It doesn't matter whether Anna intended to seduce him or to seduce the mage; it made no difference to him.

Anna, who just wanted to make money and didn't want to seduce anyone, listened to the demon’s words. Although she had a lot of thoughts in her heart at the moment, she finally decided to regard his words as a simple command from the master to the maid.

"Okay, Young Master Parrish." She replied obediently, but in reality, she would still approach the mage the next time she saw him.

She was very curious about mages, and she also wanted to learn spells!
