Mountain bandits loot the merchant caravan that travels between the city. They won’t stop just stealing; they would kill men and r*pe women.

Because of them, there would be supply and chain issues for the cities as the traveling merchants have to pay heavily to hire an advanced hero.

So, of course, Julia hoped the city leader would send his subordinates to kill them.

“We are taking this mission.”

Once Leo realized that Julia was not against killing evil heroes like mountain bandits, he didn’t hesitate to pick the mission anymore.

Leo also hated the mountain bandits as he knew how much damage these mountain bandits could cause to the city.

“But…”

“Let’s register these two missions under our names.”

Leo didn’t wait for Julia to say anything as he pulled her to register the missions.

“Mercenary Leo and Healer Julia.”

Leo’s identity had been verified as the mercenary already. So, he didn’t have any problem registering for the mission.

As for Julia, since she is a resident of Phirie city, there was no problem for her while registering for the mission.

The one who registered the missions glanced at Leo and Julia and shook his head.

He had seen many heroes who overestimate themselves and pick high reward missions, only to get themselves killed.

Nevertheless, he didn’t bother to say anything as it was not his duty to warn them.

“So, which mission shall we complete first?”

After coming out of the mission hall, Leo asked Julia to select a mission.

‘…’

Julia didn’t answer Leo’s question as she looked at him with a severe look on her face.

“Looks like you have no confidence in your Brother Leo.”

Leo shook his head as he could tell that Julia was angry at him for picking the ‘Greedy mountain bandits’ mission.

“So, how about this? Let’s go and clear some Iron ore caves to show you how powerful I am.”

Since Julia felt that he could not take care of the mountain bandits, Leo decided to show her a little bit of his prowess.

“Brother Leo, I know you are powerful but it’s just that…fighting against the unknown number of mountain bandits alone is not a good idea.”

As a healer, other than healing, Julia could not fight the other rank 4 heroes, not to mention they didn’t know how many mountain bandits were there.

So, Julia once again tried to convince Leo, “The city leader will take care of them.”

“Julia, if the city leader really wants to clear the mountain bandits, then do you think this mission would have appeared on the mission board?”

Leo shook her head and said that the city leader might now have any intentions of taking care of the mountain bandits.

“Moreover, for each mountain bandit, we would get 10 hero coins. Not only will we make good money but we will also get rid of the evil heroes like mountain bandits.”

“If you still think we should wait for the city leader to take care of this…let’s put it back and take another mission.”

After finishing his words, Leo turned back, intending to return the mission paper.

“Let’s do it.”

However, Julia stopped him and said in a low voice.

“Good.”

Leo revealed a slight smile when he heard Julia’s words.

“However, the moment you feel any danger, we should escape.”

Nevertheless, she didn’t forget to remind Leo that they should escape if things go south.

“Of course. When it comes to escaping, my Teleprortation talent is the best.”

Leo nodded his head as he agreed to Julia’s words without hesitation.

“Haha…Dominic, Mikey…I just heard the biggest joke in my life.”

Just as Leo finished his words, a burst of loud laughter came from the distance as a group of three walked past Leo and Julia.

“Yeah. If the rest of our friends hear those words, they might die laughing.”

They were none other than Dominic, Mikhael, and Rebecca. Like Leo and Julia, they came to the mission hall to pick the missions to make some money for their leader.

‘These annoying…’

If not for Julia, he would have taught them a lesson.

Dominic and others knew that, and that’s why they wanted to make fun of Leo while they could.

“Brother Leo, leave it. There are always people like her who make fun of others.”

However, Julia stopped Leo as she could feel the three young heroes who passed them were not weak either.

“Yes. They could only make fun of those who don’t want to fight. In front of those who want to fight, they would not even dare to utter a single word.”

Leo intentionally raised his words as he wanted Dominic and others to hear.

“Looks like you two will be having some troubles in the coming days.”

Hearing those words, Dominic said to Rebecca and Mikhael with a slight smile on his face.

“Why only us? What about you? Didn’t you smile earlier?”

Rebecca and Mikhael felt a chill when they heard Leo’s words and complained that only they would have the trouble.

“Did you forget I alway have a smile on my face?”

Even when he was saying this, Dominic had a smile on his face.

“Damn it”

“Your smile is a cheat.”

Rebecca and Mikhael gritted their teeth in anger.

….

“Let’s rent a flying mutated beast.”

After Dominic and the group left, Leo and Julia decided to rent a mutated flying beast.

A few humans awakened the talents to control the mutated beast and used their controlled mutated beasts to make some easy money by renting them out.

‘Screech’

Soon, they rented a mutated crane that could carry two people with ease and flew towards the location of their first mission, ‘Clear the iron ore caves’.

…..

In front of the mission hall,

‘So, they are going out of the city. It is a good time to find out what happened to the Vice leader and other squad members.’

Clemens, the leader of the ‘Hidden assassins’ mercenary squad, looked at the mutated crane in the sky and muttered to himself.

“Gather everyone in front of the mission hall in five minutes. We are going out of the city on a mission.”

He dialed a number and said a few words before ending the call without waiting for a response from the other end.
