Kna’Ve smile widened as she slammed the tablet onto the table. Only for her to immediately pick it back up again, grin nowhere to be seen.

She fumbled around, searching for something.

“Aha!” she proclaimed.

Finding the item she was looking for, which happened to be the form that we had just been filling out, her smile reappeared brighter than ever.

‘Why are all these ladies so adorable? That was so clumsy but so cute at the same time.’

She straightened the paper on the table, placing the stone slab directly on top of it. As the two objects connected, a little chime sounded. I looked to Ms. Kna’Ve, seeing her stare back at me with eyes of papable anticipation.

Mayari chuckled then sighed, giving me a poke to the arm, and flicked her head towards the two-headed lady.

‘Oh. I see…okay.’

“Alright, I’ll bite. What in the nine circles is this thing, Ms. Kna’Ve?” I asked.

“Fufufu…I thought you’d never ask…” she dramatically pointed to the object in question. “This is the True Analyzer of Talent Energy Recording Tablet of the Origin Tree! Or as I like to call it, T.A.T.E.R. T.O.T!”

“Pfft...Okay. So can you tell me what it does?” I tilted my head as I asked my question.

‘The answer’s pretty much in the name, but she seems to be enjoying this. I’ll indulge her for her help.’

“Fufufu. You’ll just have to wait and see little miss Maua,” she replied.

Mayari poked my arm again, leaning in to whisper in my ear.

“You’re a smart girl, it seems like you already caught on but  I’ll tell you anyway. Kna’Ve is generally the most reliable person you can find. Generally. That all goes in the nearest trash can whenever it comes to anything science or magic. She becomes a complete nerd. Honestly, that’s probably half the reason why she likes  Lady Amare so much.”

“Eh?”

“You know because Murua is just gold spelled backward?” she explained.

“Well yeah, but rather than tha-”

“Ahem!” Kna’Ve cleared her throat, ending the conversation between me and the redhead. “Now. Maua if you would place either one of your hands on the white orb in the middle.”

I complied with her instructions, placing my left hand on the orb.

“Why’d you use your left hand?” Mayari inquired.

“Why would I use my left hand? What a naive question. Left hands are superior of course!” I said, puffing my chest.

Apparently ignoring me and my shenanigans, the T.A.T.E.R. T.O.T began to hum.

I felt something travel from within me to the tablet.

The orb in contact with my hand began to glow brightly.

Then as suddenly as it had lightened up, the glow vanished.

Then it appeared at the uppermost sphere. It hopped from orb to orb, looking much like a casino machine.

After a couple of minutes, full of apprehension for me, it stopped.

The glow flowed back to the center as well as four other globes. There was the yellow one all the way at the top, the orange one to the left of that, the purple one all the way at the bottom, and the blue one to the right of it.

Out of all of them, the white one and the blue glowed the brightest.

Kna’Ve looked over at me and the tablet, nodding with what seemed to be appreciation.

“Mhm! Okay, Maua, please remove your hand from the tablet,” she said.

I pulled back my hand, feeling whatever had left me to come right back inside.

She then grabbed the tablet, walked back to the desk, and placed it back in the compartment she originally got in from.

She then walked back to the table, scooping up the paper and taking a seat.

Taking a deep breath, she began to read it.

As she made her way down the page, her eyes got wider and wider. By the time she reached the end, it looked as if they were going to fly out of their sockets

Seemingly finished, she abruptly stood up, her chair flying back.

“Excuse me,” she said curtly, heading for the door.

“Wait Ms. Kna’Ve, where are you going?” I asked, rising from my seat.

Mayari pulled me back, forcing to me sit back down.

“It’s not worth the time. There’s no way you’ll catch up with her right now.  An excited Kna’Ve is faster than light. Trust me. She’s probably just going to tell the Guildmaster about the test results. Just wait until she comes back.”

“Hmm…okay. Even though I wanted to know too.” I pouted.

“Hehehe. As I thought, a pouting Maua is the cutest!” she said, poking my side.

Having finished the debriefing with the Expanding Dream, I laid back on the couch and Mother splayed out on the other.

BOOM!

We both flew into the air, startled like cats, as the door flew open.

“Rua! Mrs. Dashuri! You both have to see this. You absolutely have to see this.” KnA’ Ve shouted.

“Wait, wait. Slow down VeVe. Deep breaths.” I said, attempting to calm my energetic girlfriend.

She took a couple of seconds to compose herself, eyes glinting with excitement.

‘Honestly, she’s so adorable. I could honestly watch this all day. She’s totally a super nerd when she’s like this. The only thing she’s missing is the glasses…. maybe I should get her some.’

“Okay, so what is it? Did the test go wrong?” I asked, feeling a bit concerned.

‘Maua definitely seems like a good girl, but there is certainly more than meets the eye when it comes to her.’

“Go wrong? Fufu! If anything, it couldn’t have gone better!” she replied.

A wave of relief spread through me.

“Wait, what do you mean by ‘if anything, it couldn’t have gone better’?”

“How about you take a look for yourself?” she responded, handing me the paper in her hand.

I received it, taking a moment to read it.

“Wait. What? WHATTTT!?”
