The Civil Affairs Bureau (3)

Shang Guang opened his mouth and said, “Xi-ge, this…”

“Hold on for a moment,” Xi Chengyun turned around and said.

Suddenly, the camera crews were a little curious. Who was Xi-laoshi talking to?

Xi Chengyun lowered his gaze, his fingers unconsciously tapping on the armrest. Then, he suddenly said, “Can you leave campus at 3 o’clock? I’ll send Shang Guang over to fetch you.”

Leave campus?

Huh.

The person on the other end of the call is still studying at university…

All the staff froze when that thought came to mind.

University?

Oh gosh oh gosh! Could it be the boy in the picture that went viral yesterday? Yes, it was just yesterday that Xi-laoshi went to a university for an event!

Bai Qi agreed to it swiftly. “No problem.” He paused and then asked, “Are we going to do something?”

3 p.m. It was past lunch hours yet too early for dinner.

“We’re going to the Civil Affairs Bureau.”

The staff: !!!

Shang Guang: ???

Didn’t we agree that that’ll be 2 months later?

Bai Qi only paused for a little before he quickly replied, “Alright. Hmm, but I don’t have much experience. Is there anything I have to take note of? Should I wear a certain outfit? Are there any requirements for my hairstyle?”

The speediness of his reply was even a little over what Xi Chengyun had imagined.

On the other end, Xi Chengyun seemed to laugh again. “En, we’re all first-timers, we both have no experience.”

Xi Chengyun then lowered his voice a little and said slowly, “I’ll let Shang Guang send you a list of things to take note of.”

Well actually, these things can easily be found on the internet.

“Okay,” Bai Qi replied. He paused and then said, “So, I’ll hang up now?”

Xi Chengyun should be very busy and wouldn’t have time to have small talk with him.

Xi Chengyun raised a droll eyebrow slightly and said, “….En.”

The boy always managed to go beyond his expectations every time they interacted.

Xi Chengyun kept his phone away and looked at Shang Guang. “Got it?”

Shang Guang nodded blankly.

“So, send him a text.”

“Ah.”

Shang Guang looked stupefied, just like a babbling baby.

The staff weren’t any better. All of them were in a state of shock. F*ck, what kind of universally shocking, undoubtedly the juiciest, type of tea did we just hear?

Xi-laoshi is going to the Civil Affairs Bureau!

He’s going to get married!

Shit! No one even knew that he was in a relationship!!!

Don’t celebrities who are in this kind of situation try their best to hide it as much as possible?

What was with Xi-laoshi?

… However, when you think about it, Xi-laoshi had obtained countless awards. He had tremendous talent and ability. He was clearly different from those who solely rely on their appearances to attract ‘girlfriend’ fans.

Xi Chengyun stood up, nodded in the direction of the staff as he said politely, “You’ve worked hard. Let’s begin now.”

In Bai Qi’s dorm, the more they listened in on the conversation, the more they felt that something was off.

Mu Dong couldn’t help but ask, “Qi Qi, where are you going?”

“The Civil Affairs Bureau,” Bai Qi replied.

“So I’ll get going now. Y’all can toss him out. It’s on me if he’s got any injuries and hospital bills. If anyone asks, just say that I was the one who beat him up.” After saying that, he took his keys and left the room. What was left was a group of dumbfounded roommates and a Jiang Fangcheng that was so angry that his eyeballs were about to pop out of their sockets.

There’s no way! There’s no way!!!

He exited the school gates and called for a taxi.

Bai Qi had to make a trip back home because he had to have his household register to get their marriage certificate.

At this point, they’ve almost gotten Jiang Fangcheng out of the room. However, Jiang Fangcheng couldn’t bother about settling the accounts with Mu Dong and the rest. His head was buzzing and his hands were shaking.

He sprinted and ran after Bai Qi till he was out of campus grounds.

He wanted to get Bai Qi back.

There wasn’t anyone at home when Bai Qi reached.

His mom and dad should be working right now.

He knew exactly where the bankbooks and certificate of their house title were placed, not to mention the household registry.

So, he skilfully pulled out his keys, walked to the wardrobe, and opened it. He unlocked a drawer, pulled it out, and took the household registry.

He hesitated for a moment and stood there. Then, he brought the bankbook along with him. He was preparing to transfer a portion of the money Xi Chengyun had given him to his mother’s savings account when he had the chance.

After Bai Qi had taken everything, he changed his inner clothing into a white dress shirt. Then, he headed downstairs and gulped down a bowl of rice noodles in a noodle restaurant located at the entrance of the alley.

Shang Guang came to pick him up on time at 3 o’clock.

“Xi-ge still has a celebratory feast to go to at night…” Shang Guang sighed. Today’s schedule was packed enough. Yet, Xi Chengyun forcefully added this session into it in order to get their marriage certificate.

As Shang Guang continued on, Bai Qi casually blacklisted Jiang Fangcheng from his contacts while he responded to Shang Guang nonchalantly.

Almost at the same time, the forum which had just gone quiet due to the effort of Xi Chengyun’s fans suddenly went viral again because of another post.

【The Year’s Juiciest Tea!!! A famous and prodigious actor with countless fans went to get their marriage certificate with someone from outside the entertainment industry! 】

Xi Chengyun’s fans let out a calm smile when they read that.

Yes. With this massive tea, there’ll naturally be no one left to fuss about who Xi-ge went to meet at the university.
