Meeting the Parents (2)

Luckily, he had already told his family that he played for the other team when he first started his relationship with Jiang Fangcheng.

Otherwise, he’d most likely end up with a broken leg if they were to find out that his marriage partner was a man.

A rustling sound came from Lady Su’s end of the phone. It seemed like she had put down her bags and proceeded to pour rice into a pot.

After she’d added the water into the pot and connected it to the power, she took a few more steps around the house. “Qi Qi, you’ve taken the bank book along with you?” she asked, surprised.

“Yup, I’ve added a bit of money to the savings account,” Bai Qi replied.

Lady Su laughed, but she couldn’t bear to see him do this. “Hey, there’s no need to save on living expenses and work part-time alright! Aren’t you going to sit for your postgraduate entrance exams soon? Please just focus on your studies for the time being.”

“Alright, that’s all for now. I’ve got to go wash the vegetables.”

Bai Qi said goodbye to his mom and then got off the phone.

After receiving a shower of care from his actual mom, there were another three ‘male mommies’ waiting for him at his dorm.

“Be honest to us, did you get married to that boyfriend of yours?” his roommates asked, wearing a serious expression on their faces.

“Yup,” Bai Qi replied.

Mu Dong and the rest didn’t know what to say due to Bai Qi’s frankness and honesty.

“This is going too bloody fast…” Mu Dong whispered to himself.

“And just like this, the Most Handsome Guy in our department has fallen into the grave of someone else.”

Bai Qi: ???

“Wait, no. What I meant to say was, that he’s fallen into the hands of someone else. Bah, just look at this mouth of mine.”

Bai Qi took off his coat and pants all at once.

Without even waiting for him to change into his pajamas, the dumbos opposite him covered their eyes with their hands. “…Will your man kick us in the ass if we caught a glimpse of your body?”

Bai Qi gave it some serious thought and said, “Nope. He’s very gentle, he wouldn’t just beat people up.”

“Then, surely he’s better than that dumbass Jiang Fangcheng. I still get angry at the mention of him.” When it came to this, Mu Dong couldn’t help but smack his lips as he sighed.

“Whatever, let’s not talk about that incident.” Mu Dong frowned. “I think he’s gone nuts. I’m just worried about whether he’ll still come to bother you. If one day we’re not around, with those delicate arms and legs of yours… Hey, aren’t we already in our third year? Since we can stay off-campus, why don’t you just go live with your boyfriend?”

The others agreed and chipped in, “Yeah, that’s right. Qi Qi still needs to study and take his postgraduate entrance exams. Where do you expect him to find the time to deal with that guy’s nonsense?”

Bai Qi changed into his pajamas. He quickly went into the bathroom to wash his face, brush his teeth, and gave his feet a good scrub. Then, he rushed into the comfort of his sheets.

He rolled over and said in a whisper, “I’ll think about it.”

He’d already taken Xi Chengyun’s money. It was best not to trouble him and to treat him as if he were his actual partner.

Bai Qi gave out a lazy yawn, tossing over again and closing his eyes. He soon drifted off to sleep.

In his dreams, he dreamt that he’d eaten three humongous pieces of Chicken Cordon Bleu. It was so freaking good!

The next day, Bai Qi woke up naturally at 6 in the morning.

He got out of bed and packed his things into a luggage bag. He thought to himself that even if that bastard were to come and stand in his way, he couldn’t possibly come so early… The rooster hadn’t even crowed yet.

“I’ll be leaving now,” Bai Qi said to his roommates.

His roommates were all sleeping like logs, snoring while they were in slumberland.

Bai Qi smiled and took another look at his roommates. Then, he pulled his luggage bag along with him and made his way out.

The third-year was the year where students started to go for their internships. So, it wasn’t strange to see students carrying their luggage as they left campus.

Bai Qi’s luggage bag had wheels, making a soft “thrum, thrum, thrum” sound as they rolled on the ground.

After he left the dormitory building, a figure suddenly rushed out in front of him before he could even make a turn at the nearest corner.

“Qi Qi,” the figure shouted.

The person was none other than Jiang Fangcheng. He had a black down jacket on him, his hair soaking wet, sodden with mist dew.

He looked a little haggard.

The scars on his face were still there, a dull ache remained in his chest.

However, all of this was not important to him.

The point was, he hadn’t been able to catch up to Bai Qi yesterday, and Bai Qi even blocked him from his contacts.

“I’ve waited for you for so long.” Jiang Fangcheng’s pupils were jet black. When one looked into them, it felt as if they’d been swallowed into a tunnel of darkness.

The cold morning breeze blew against their faces, the weather was already very cold in the first place. Now, Bai Qi felt even colder with Jiang Fangcheng staring at him.
