A Contractual Marriage with the Best Leading Actor Chapter 64

A Sneeze (3)

“I have a house near Jing University. You can live there for the time being.”

‘The houses near Jing University weren’t cheap by any means. Xi Chengyun is really well-off!’

Just then, the staff member was back. The person walked towards them with a small basket in hand and passed it to Xi Chengyun. Their personal belongings were in the basket.

“Will you be riding with us?” the staff member asked.

“No need” Xi Chengyun said as he took Bai Qi’s phone out from the basket.

“Mn.” The staff member nodded and left.

After the person left, Xi Chengyun passed the phone to Bai Qi and said, “Sign in to your Weibo account.”

“Mn?” Bai Qi tilted his head, the tips of his hair strands bouncing in the wind. Bai Qi looked at Xi Chengyun with a confused expression on his face.

“Sign in to the account that you’ve most recently posted on.”

Bai Qi thought, ‘My most recent update was on the account named ‘Xiang Jingran, My Little Sweetheart’.’ His conscience was stricken for a second. Then, he quickly realized that the account Xi Chengyun was referring to was the account he had declared their relationship on.

Bai Qi signaled an ‘OK’ with his fingers. He unlocked his phone with his fingerprint and signed into the account.

Ding, ding, ding. As soon as he logged in, notifications began to flood in. To be fair, it wasn’t only for this app. He had many notifications on his WeChat, Messages and Missed Calls Log as well.

Bai Qi recognized his parents’ phone number from the many notifications and sent a message to let them know he was well.

“I’m logged in now.”

“Mn.” Xi Chengyun reached forward and then asked, “Can I have a look?” His hand looked like a piece of art as it halted near the black phone.

“Alrighty, sure,” Bai Qi replied. ‘There isn’t anything I wouldn’t let my 50 million sugar daddy see!’

Xi Chengyun took the phone away and flipped through his account. Bai Qi wasn’t sure what he wanted to see, and he sneaked a peek at Xi Chengyun’s face. However, there weren’t any changes in his expression, so he wasn’t able to figure out much.

So, Bai Qi decided he’d be better off counting money and went to take his wallet.

After a while, Xi Chengyun locked his phone. “Done.”

“Mn?” “Mn.” Bai Qi took the phone back and noticed that Xi Chengyun hadn’t done anything to it.

“Have we added each other on WeChat?”

Xi Chengyun was taken aback. He suddenly realized that the only way they had to get in touch was through their phone numbers.

Xi Chengyun whipped out his phone and said, “Wait a moment.” He had to give Shang Guang a call.

Shang Guang picked up soon. “You’ve finished packing? I’ll head over right now.”

“Mn. I’ll talk to you as you walk over.” Xi Chengyun was actually far less expressive in his private life, however, Shang Guang was sharp enough to notice something off about his remark.

“Do tell,” Shang Guang said.

“Give Old Yang a call and tell him to wait for me at the Liyang Condominium near Jing University.”

Shang Guang was familiar with this. “What type of attorney’s letter do you need?” These days, it was somewhat like a trend for studios of celebrities to post attorney’s letters, having a statement or two for each incident.

“I don’t want just an attorney’s letter. Pass some necessary information to Old Yang and compile them into a list of names before suing.”

Shang Guang paused in his steps. Then, it seemed like he realized something and suddenly sprinted towards the little wooden hut.

‘Xi Chengyun must have quietly gone through Bai Qi’s DMs.’

His comments section was pretty tame, especially after the second episode aired. However, it was a totally different case for his DMs. One could see the ugliest side of human nature through the DMs he’d received. His DMs were full of verbally abusive and mocking messages. All the words were dirty and tainted.

Well, this was the only way for maggots to attack others since they can’t see the light of day.

Meanwhile, Xi Chengyun dampened down the dark look in his eyes. A smile appeared on his face as he showed Bai Qi his WeChat QR code. “Let’s add each other,” he said in a low voice.

Bai Qi immediately took out his phone and walked towards him, Ka-chak, and scanned the QR code. It just so happened that Shang Guang was running over, and brought a cold breeze with him as he ran. Bai Qi’s nose itched and he sneezed.

“What happened? Who scolded you?” Shang Guang said casually. As soon as he finished, he realized that something was off.

… ? ‘Are these the people Xi-ge wants to sue???’

Shang Guang was panting as he turned towards Xi Chengyun. “Ge, Xi-ge, who do you want to sue? Is it the people who’ve said sent nasty messages to Bai Qi? You also know that every public figure can't avoid going through something like this.”

Bai Qi: ?

He was lost for a moment. ‘Huh?’ He remembered that he had sneezed once before Shang Guang came, and he also said something similar.

… Does that mean that Xi Chengyun had been looking through his DMs just now?

Bai Qi looked at his phone and said, “What’s there in my DMs?”

“I’ve deleted everything,” Xi Chengyun softly said.

At that moment, Shang Guang was terrified. This wasn’t a good sign…Such a minuscule act like a sneeze left such a deep mark on Xi Chengyun’s mind.

“Xi-ge, I…”

Just then, they heard a soft knock on the hut’s door. “Is Bai Qi here? I have something for you,” Qiu Sichuan said. As soon as he finished, Cheng Jin said, “Xi… Is Bai Qi here?”

Shang Guang swallowed the words he wanted to say back down his throat. ‘What the heck is happening! Why are they here together?’
