Chapter 2 - Novice Halo (2)
Bei Nuan had read this novel. It was a story with a male protagonist named Lu Xingchi. He led a team to slice and dice in the zombie apocalypse.
Unfortunately, Bei Nuan had transmigrated into a supporting character that had the same name as her.
This supporting character had a severe case of holy mother syndrome. She was usually a drag on the team. The key was that at the end of the novel, to save the people in a city, she wiped out the protagonist and his team in one move.
She had done something that an entire book's worth of villains and the zombies had failed to do. The readers cursed her out.
Fortunately, Bei Nuan still remembered the plot. She was currently thinking about how to get to the safe area.
At this time, #3 brought her a disheartening piece of news. She wasn't allowed to do unauthorized things and act out-of-character, which included heading to the safe area and hiding there.
She had to seriously play her role as a Holy Mother and accumulate enough Holy Mother points in order to return to her original world.
"Isn't my body being crushd by a truck right now? Why would I go back? That's looking for trouble."
Rather than be crushed to death by a truck, she might as well enjoy herself and live in a world of zombies for a few more days.
Even if she became a zombie, who knows, she might be a happy zombie. The streets were full of people that she could happily bite. She would be standing firmly at the top of the food chain with nothing that could shake her from it.
It was better than going back and being crushed by a truck.
#3 answered quickly, "If you fulfil the task and get enough Holy Mother points before the book ends, your fate of dying in a car accident in the original world will automatically change."
"What if I can't finish? For example, what if a zombie bites me when I have half the points I need?"
#3 replied even faster, "If you die and can't accomplish the task, then you'll go back and finish the second half of your car accident."
Experience the first half of the car accident, transmigrating here to be bitten by zombies, and then back in time to experience the second half.
Fine.
"It's one thing to transmigrate into a book. Why am I wearing pajamas?" Bei Nuan asked #3.
"The novel didn't say what you're wearing, so I kept everything that you were wearing and your physical features: clothes, shoes, the length of your hair, your pierced ears, etc."
"There were only a few words written about your appearance in the novel." #3 read aloud, "Lu Xingchi and Du Ruo picked up a girl named Bei Nuan at the highway entrance of City S1. That's all."
Sure enough, that was thoroughly the treatment that a supporting character would get.
Another wave of zombies rushed over. One of them wasn't paying attention and almost ran into Bei Nuan. It quickly skirted away from her. It was one step away from apologizing.
Bei Nuan glanced at the upper right corner of her vision and saw a beautiful halo. Below the halo, there were the shining words: Novice Halo.
As she looked at it, small words automatically appeared to explain. Passive Skill: Zombies will ignore you. Duration: Until you find the male protagonist.
