Astonishingly, Grief Seeds were already present in them before they were used! The Soul Gem was presented as the outer core, while the smaller Grief Seed composed the inner core. The manifestations of dark emotions were all stored inside the internal Grief Seed, thus the reason why a Soul Gem shatters once a Witch is born.
Impurities in the Soul Gem were actually those manifestations! As the magical energy suppressing these impurities decreased, the greater the chance of becoming a witch. Thus, the more magic a Magical Girl utilizes, the faster the transformation. The Grief Seeds 'absorbing' those impurities refilled the magical energy in their Soul Gems.
As for the Grief Seeds he purified into Soul Gems, only Kaede was out for now. The others were stored in the storage where time was frozen since their current mentalities couldn't handle their overwhelming feelings of despair.
Kaede was accompanying Touka, who had made a new body for her using her [Tyrant's Eye]. Though, it took the three of them more than a week of preparations to do so.
The process required arrays that amplify Touka's mind, another set that would connect their stored mana briefly, rituals using [Origin Crystals], and so on. After much toiling, they successfully created a human body matching Kaede's soul genetics.
This was all thanks to Roman, who successfully mimicked the [Third True Magic—Heaven's Feel] using his Age of God magecraft. However, the execution of this magic only became possible due to the supplies sponsored by the wealthiest Chat Group member, Shiro.
The most basic requirement was 1000 [Origin Crystals], about one-fiftieth of his current stock. It also needed copious amounts of rare materials, most of which came out of his pocket.
If not for them possessing most of the required materials, the entire process might have taken a long time to prepare. Luckily, they didn't follow Goetia's thousands of years of preparation for his [Ars Almadel Salomonis], his Noble Phantasm that mimicked the [Fifth True Magic—The Blue].

Roman: "What is happening right now?! The defensive arrays didn't activate!"
Touka: "It must've happened from the inside. Did someone turn into a Witch? But there are only four Magical Girls here... Shiro?"
Shiro completely ignored those messages as he pulled down his [Blindfold]. His attire turned into his usual black and white light armor, with him wielding his twin blades in both hands.
While his eyes appeared mesmerizing, an aura of grave solemnity shrouded his visage. Kyoko was stunned by his current appearance, but the presence that she felt jolted her awake from her daydreaming.
"What happened just now?!" She asked.
"...It's my fault."
"What do you-"
"It's Sayaka."
Upon hearing this, her brain short-circuited for a moment.
"This evil presence? Did your student turn into a Witch?!"
"No... Not just a Witch. She's now a Demon."
Shiro opened an aurora curtain before stepping in, leaving the bewildered Kyoko alone. Still, she didn't dilly-dally as she took out her phone to contact Mami. After texting her, she looked into the distance, at the place where the presence had originated, and prayed:
'Hey God, if you're there, my life sucked. So for once, please let my Taiya-no... My new friend to live.'

On another note, I got too busy lately. Our professors decided to give away many assignments and projects, so we'll be drowning in uni for a while. That's why I've decided to stop uploading fun facts for a temporary period of time. From today up until midterms is done for (not my grades), I won't be posting fun facts. This might last until 30 or 31. As for the update schedule, it's still the same with 1 chapter/day. Though, I'll be announcing something that involves bonus chapters once midterms is over, so do watch out for it!
That's it... The tensions would begin to rise from here. I won't give an estimate on how long this arc would be, but we're now approaching the climax of it. As for the explanations regarding the Level 5 Heart Demon, why she transformed this fast, and how she mutated to be this strong, there'll be explanations in the further chapters:)
