The moment Shiro decided to came back through the Chat Group panel, dizzying amounts of notifications were immediately heard. Checking what was going on, he saw that the Chat Group scrolled down at a very fast rate.

Messages kept coming in one after another until Shiro decided to close it first.

looking beside him, he saw Kal'tsit who's having the same trouble as him.

"I'm sorry. Looks like we'll have this kind of problem once someone in our world takes a quest."

"...I've dealt with something worse."

Kal'tsit said so with quite a strange expression. Only if Shiro knew that this is also how she explained things back in Babel...

However, his mind is pre-occupied to ask these kinds of things right now. Doing the math, he didn't simply receive 2,000 Points during the quest.

Counting the days that he spent during the quest, he stayed in Shinji's world for almost 10 days. That also meant him having nearly 900 more points due to the daily points that he received.

'Since only Terra had its time stopped, the others definitely has more points by now. Only Doctor Kal'tsit got left out.' He thought as he thought of some things that he can give to her right now.

"I'm sorry."

"What are you apologizing for?"

"For making you lose points."

Shiro explained the thing about her points. Yes, she had this slightly disappointed eyes, but she had hidden it from him.

"No need."

"...I'll make it up with you. How about this, I owe you a favor? You can ask me to do anything."

"Anything?"

Her eyebrows rose as she asked that question.

"Well, anything except selling my body. You can ask me to kill someone, even."

Hearing him saying this, her disappointment was gone. Understandably, she's the one who needed the points the most, so as to unravel the cure behind oripathy.

It is her lifelong goal, something that lasted for more than 13,000 years.

"I'll keep that in mind."

"Phew... How about we have a cake when we stop?"

"A cake?"

"Oh, I forgot about this matter in Terra."

As an important compound on Terra, desserts are expensive in this world.

'Poor guys, even sweets are expensive here.'

He is very thankful that not only can he travel to various worlds, he could also buy confectionaries using points.

"It'll be delicious, definitely."

"Alright."

*****

Inside the SUV, the two ate the Confectionary Cake at the living quarters section. After placing the Strawberry Cake in the table, Shiro took out a steel knife brought from Shinji's world before cutting the cake into portions.

Shiro placed the first slice on Kal'tsit's plate before putting one in his plate.

Taking a bite, he tasted the symphony of sweetness in his mouth. The strawberry blended in further, making the cake not too sweet.

"I'll never get tired of eating this. Doctor Kal'tsit, how is it?"

He looked at her, only to see that she was spacing out.

"Doctor Kal'tsit?"

"Mn. It's alright."

Though, she kept it hidden that she hadn't tasted normal food up until now. During her exploration, all she ate are nutritional fluids. She ended up doing that for years due to her thinking that it wasted time preparing foods.

That's the reason why her taste buds who were numbed by those tasteless "food" got rejuvenated upon eating this cake.

"If you liked it, I'll take out another one later."

".. Thank you."

"No prob, it's not that hard."

After eating that entire cake, the two continued on their journey to Acahualla, the name of the said rainforest. Unlike before, Shiro spoke with Kal'tsit every now and then. This made it different from his previous roadtrips where he got bored while driving.

"Just asking, why do you speak so briefly?"

"That... I had some troubles before." She said. A conflicted look slightly appeared on her expressionless face, as if she thought of something. "You'll know why if you met me before."

"Troubles, I see."

Shiro didn't chose to pry more about her past and shifted the topic instead. This way, 2 days had passed until they arrived at it.

The familiar dessert greeted Shiro's eyes again.

"Thought I'll never come back for a while. Oh, I might've met an Aegir here."

"An Aegir?"

"She has this familiar scent of the sea? Or is it a vibe? I can't fully describe it, but my senses told me that she's related to the sea."

"There's still a living Aegir? She might know about that event..." She mumbled as she sat beside the drivers seat.

During those 2 days, Shiro and Kal'tsit switched positions as the driver so that they could arrive here earlier. After all, there's a reckless person who's trying to do something with an alien god.

"The great silence you've mentioned before? What's that?"

"It's the term used to denote the event that occurred during Aegir and Iberia's downfall. 20 years ago, communication between each Iberian City on the sea..."

She started an all-out lecture unknowingly. Since communication is very crucial in-between those coastal cities, those cities fell one by one as there's no reinforcement that was to be sent when each cities are under attack by Seaborns.

It has to be known that Aegir and Iberia were closely linked. During the attacks of the Seaborns, the tentacle monsters who populated the sea, there wasn't any lack of refugees escaping from Aegir.

Civilians, soldiers, scientists... Iberia is the one who took the liberty to make them their citizens. Then, the technology and various other stuff that they brought benefitted Iberia greatly.

As a result, Iberia advanced by leaps and bounds. While Aegir took the brunt and fended off against the Seaborns, they profited greatly.

This might be the price that has to be paid with all the benefits that they've received.

'S-she said all that in one breath?' He thought. 'I now know the reason why she chose to speak briefly.'

"During the third month in that year, no more Aegir was seen leaving the Sea. It symbolized the..."

She continued speaking for a dozen more minutes. Since Shiro felt awkward to speak out, he listened to her until the end. Kal'tsit also realized her blunder when she saw Acahualla within her sight.

"...I told you." She awkwardly said.

"It's not much of a problem per se. Your explanation is very detailed, too."

"Thank you...?"

Shiro tried to remove that awkwardness and it seems like he succeeded. Moreover, her stone-cold face softened by a small percentage. Noticing this change of hers, Shiro thought that it was really cute.

After some time, the quest prompt popped up.

[Official Quest: Alien God (2)]

Shiro read through the prompts before asking Kal'tsit to stop the car.

"Let's stop here. The indicator is showing me that our target is nearby."

"Alright."

Stopping the SUV, they prepared whatever they needed before stepping out in this land that used to house the once glorious Sargon Empire.
