Bzzt-!

The surroundings are distorted, producing the blue pixel effects that one would only see in games. Once they disappeared, a familiar black knight reappeared in this world. Unlike Altair, however, she exists in this world with her true body. Her situation is just like the others, but her strength is abnormal.

"A single conclusion is enough to end everything."

Salter received the events that happened when she was gone. It is given to her by Altair, her 'temporary' ally. They have the same circumstances which leads to her trusting Altair the most.

"No matter the times, it never changed."

She lamented that her temporary ally had the chance of winning in her grasp already, only to lose it the next second. She would have won if she had been decisive enough to finish everything without reservations.

"You might need to know this." Altair said after listening to Salter's words. "I felt a sense of familiarity towards the cloaked man. His appearance aside, he has 'that' power as well. The library that has the power to materialize concepts as he wills."

"..!"

For a moment, Salter seemed to have realized something. Her fist tightened as she thought of that possibility—the cloaked man is the one that she knows.

"He should have known what happened, but why is he..!"

Inside his training room, Shiro visualized himself in a barehanded stance. Imaginary enemies appeared in his sight, all with varying ages. The remarkable thing is that they are all humans. They are the ones whom he loathed during his early Fenrir days.

A moment later, he 'saw' himself on a battlefield. He took his younger self's place before dashing towards the woman with a pair of golden bracers.

Fwooop-!

Her punch passed through the gaps that he made in his arms.

'Die.'

He made a grappling stance before he used one of Bajiquan's essentials.

Crack-!

He successfully broke the woman's arm by applying two different forces with his hands. He had easily done so since the moment when someone finishes an attack is their most vulnerable. Even if they don't show a big opening, there are still small flaws that they could not cover-up.

Shiro punched her solar plexus before tearing a hole in her stomach. Her [Energy Armor], a defensive technique made up of mana/aura, was relaxed when she got shocked.

He took out his arm in her bloody stomach. His usual white t-shirt was stained with droplets of blood.

Swooosh-!

Surprisingly, he grabbed her body and threw it in another man's direction. Since he could not react properly, the body hit him.

Fwooop-!

Shiro punched at him through the previous hole that he made in the corpse's stomach. The man could not react at all as his heart burst with his punch.

At this moment, he could feel the convergence of countless weapon intents. His hands have the sharpness of a sword, the bluntness of a hammer, the heaviness of an axe, the flexibility of a whip, and so on. He usually wielded them with his sword, but he's integrating more of his memories this time. That, and the fact that beating your previous adversaries easily feels so satisfying.

Shiro did not become happy due to the killings that he caused, but because of his victory. Killing is just his means to an end—there's nothing unusual with it. Though, he's still aware that his normal worldview is vastly different from a normal person. If it's a normal person who killed a person, they would feel fear and intimidation towards the law.

He was also like this at first, but who asked him to live lives full of suffering?

His time as a Commandant is bloody. He continuously saw his comrades and staff being beaten into ashes in every single battle. He could not even save their corpses from the damned external invaders! He could also deduce what happened after his death. The remaining KANSENs would have died from the hidden self-destruction function that the world government secretly placed.

Meanwhile, his third lives were not so simple too. As the hero, the Magus Shiro saw many sacrifices done for his behest—all to kill the Demon Lord born every thousand years. In the end, he found out that this was all a bloody plot between some gods of the Light and Dark factions. They did this "play" to gather more faith efficiently. His journey who he thought was over was extended until he became strong enough to not be disregarded by the major forces of his world.

As for his time as Fenrir, it could easily be the worst one. At a young age, he was exposed to murders, robbery, trafficking, and the like. He was once captured as a specimen of a "Mage" who got interested in the Demon Race's powers—the predecessors that came after Fenrir. If he did not open the space that led to Fenrir's corpse, he wouldn't be able to use his Devouring concept to gain immense power.

After his escape, what followed him is a life full of persecution, which then results in murders. Only Shiro himself could know and understand how sad his life was. That's why he wanted to experience a "normal" life once he transcended the power struggles and became the peak power. His "craziness" was mellowed down with time, turning him more carefree and relaxed than his previous vigilant and overthinking self who thought that his subordinates could stab him behind the back.

Fortunately, his first wife followed along with him. She did not have that "fuck everything else" mindset and did not care about anything else than Shiro. Still, who knows if that side of hers would be reawakened sometime later...

Shiro, with all of his being, hopes that she would not. Granted, he followed through with her in the early days. But, that was before he is still weak. He did not understand everything the world has to offer.

'Finished.'

By the time he killed a hundred enemies, his immersion was broken as he returned to reality.  He felt his [Armament Convergence] improve by a small margin once more.

'Those items gave me the chance to train effectively... again.' He thought. 'But my efficiency got reduced by being in this world.'

When he received the items back in Fate World, he realized that his [Armament Convergence] and [Concept Materialization] could become stronger as he immersed himself in them. It's similar to recalling his memories vividly, to the point that he's the one experiencing it. Back then, he would fool time and practice for a few hundred hours before stopping. Now, he could not do so to not lose his "shield".

Beep-!

Suddenly, his phone rang out. When he opened it, he saw Kuroneko's message on the lock screen.

[Kuroneko]: Are you free today? Let's hang out.

"This..."

At this moment, he felt a sense of deja vu before everything clicked.

"Isn't this the same thing that Cardinal said?!"

Shiro does not know how to react for a moment, but this is Gokou Ruri. In this 4th life of his, her role important. Even though it is a game, she followed him with almost everything. They watched each other grow during the early days of being connected into this mystical encounter called "Chat Group".

"I'll see to it later... if my intuition is correct."

The tapping sounds in his smartphone could be heard the next second.
