"Where am I?"

Grasping the sword's grip, she examined her surroundings cautiously. Even though she lost all of her memories and is extremely confused right now, the first thought that came to her is safety.

"You're in a clinic."

"That's right. We picked you up and treated you here."

Looking at the people who spoke, one is an expressionless feline woman dressed in what seemed to be a doctor's gown while the other is a man who wore an expensive white robe.

"Who are you..?"

"Kal'tsit, a doctor."

"Shiro, a caster."

The stranger became silent upon hearing that. She focused on composing herself instead of being confused, something that she had done many times.

Trying hard not to be overwhelmed by the huge amount of memories within her head, she tried standing up, only to fail due to the sensation that she felt right now.

Those memories... it causes her to not have a clear distinction between illusions and reality. Being overloaded by them, she fainted once more. Shiro made a diagnosis based on his masteries.

"Her pulse rate is normal. She might've collapsed due to other factors."

"A Sarkaz with a sword..."

"Doctor Kal'tsit?"

"...Nothing."

However, Kal'tsit immediately connected the stranger to a certain acquaintance of hers. Wielding the sword symbol to the king, she's now leading her fellow Sarkaz to a new possibility.

The reason why Babel is built is due to her, too. She aimed for everyone in the world to accept the Sarkaz with open arms!

Though, every comrade of hers knew that they will be trekking a road full of difficulties. This didn't hinder them though, as they all went ahead and supported her ideals.

"You can rest for now. Leave her to me."

"Then... See you tomorrow."

Leaving the room, Shiro noticed some of her irregularities but chose not to dig it deeper. No matter what, he wouldn't just force a good acquaintance of his to divulge her secrets.

His cruelty is only known to his enemies, after all.

There's also the fact that he admired her ideals as it somehow resonated with him. Since he doesn't have any goals as of the moment, he'll lend his hand to her.

Shiro: "Hehe... You don't want to hear about it?"

Romani: "I'll trust my instincts on this one and refuse."

"Pffft... Ahahahaha!"

After using his Soul Points to upgrade to 1st Rank Winged Knight, his physique became stronger, to the point that 3 hours of sleep is enough to fully recharge him. To that, he only chatted with other chat group members to pass time.

Now that he caught up with the days worth of messages, the first thing that caught his interest is... Romani having an amnesia.

What's more, it's not a natural amnesia, but an artificially induced one.

"Did... Did it really have such a big impact on him..?"

He became more bewildered as he never had any "oshi". To be exact, he doesn't remember having one. Who knows, he might be a fan in his past life...

Romani: "There should be a good reason as to why I willingly forgot about it."

Shiro: "There really is."

Romani: "I'll have to take care of some matters on my side. Bye!"

Recalling the few messages that he read, he laughed while laying down his bed.

At first, he is confused as to why Romani never responded to his joke about that matter, but then some members privately messaged him that Romani used a strong mental interference spell on himself before falling asleep on a desk.

When he woke up, he instantly knew that he lost some of his memories. He was about to take care of it with a servant's help when he saw a huge note attached on his desk saying "DON'T REMEMBER."

Romani even saw the tone within that sticky note, thus prompting to follow it. With those memories forgotten, he'd gone back to his daily life of asking life advice to an idol named Magi Mari.

"What a fun incident. What would be his expression when he recalls everything? That would be amazing!"

Just like a child seeing a standing jenga tower, Shiro felt spreading mischief for once.

"Heh. How long will his fake kingdom last?"

Romani should hope that Shiro won't come to his world lest something will definitely happen to him.

Without anyone else too chat due to their different time flows (Waiting for a response will take some time), he took out the [Customized AWM] that he got as a reward before.

Unfortunately, he couldn't see its rarity due to it not coming from the chat group.

[Customized AWM]

Details: A customized version of the modern AWM. It has an effective firing range of 5km, with 10km being the maximum firing range. The rifle possesses attachments that further enhance it. However, its recoil is much stronger than a normal AWM.

Note 1: It has the special ability [Overload].

Note 2: [Overload] allows the sniper rifle to fire 10 consecutive rounds, with each having an additional 1,000% damage. After use, the sniper rifle will be in an unusable state for 100 minutes.

This sniper rifle, which looked like any normal originum guns out there, hid a powerful force within it. In Shiro's memory, the maximum range of an originum gun is less than 100m.

Originum is the one to be blamed for that. Unlike the modern guns in Kuroneko's and Touka's worlds, guns in Terra is empowered by originum, not gunpowder.

This is also the main reason as to why he can project guns and bullets - he only has to inject a little bit of originum inside his body to the bullets before they could function as a normal one.

This also placed great limits on guns in Terra due to originum. Though, gunpowder-powered guns do not have that kind of restriction. Moreover, their effective firing range is much greater too as gunfighting in Terra is mostly done in close combat.

After examining this sniper rifle, Shiro took out one of the Ammunition Boxes that he received as a reward. There, each boxes contained 50 clips, with half of those being compatible with his AR 3070 while the other half being compatible with the Customized AWM.

"Oh... There's a space embedded inside?"

He took a look at one of the magazines closely. It looked like only five bullets could fit inside, but it actually has a mini space pocket and stored another five there.

"Better not throw these out then."

Slowly getting up the bed, he planned to go outside to find something to do. But first, he changed into a more comfortable attire, a stylish white and black jacket, grey shirt, and black shorts that has many pockets.

As he got out, he didn't expect to see someone. Though, what he didn't expect is the stranger who got up from the portable bed that Shiro hurriedly placed outside their rooms. From the looks of it, she wanted to go out.

"Wanna go out?"

"...Yes."

'Great, another stoic one.' he thought. He only wondered as to why he kept encountering girls with expressionless or deadpan faces most of the time. Skadi, Kal'tsit, Touka, and now, this stranger.

After going outside, Shiro asked the stranger as he stretched his entire body.

"Do you have anything that you want to do?"

"None."

As she spoke, a hint of melancholy appeared in her eyes before being followed by confusion. Even now that she organized herself, she still couldn't get out of the illusion that 'her memories' gave her.

When she saw the sight of this village, she felt that she'd come here before, yet her memories indicate she actually haven't come here before. It only felt more confusing as each of 'her memories' kept contradicting one another.

As a result, she couldn't distinguish between truths and falsehoods.

"Hm..." Shiro hummed as he thought of something interesting to do. Then, he recalled some ice cream popsicles being stored in his storage. "How about an ice cream?"

"Ice... cream?"

"Mn. You can think of it as a dessert."

Pulling it out, he handed one to her while he proceeded to tear his open. As he liked strawberries, he chose a strawberry-vanilla combo back in Shinji's world.

As for the stranger's, he gave the normal vanilla-chocolate ice cream.

Feeling the coldness in his mouth gave him quite the chill as the cold wind blew towards them.

"Eating this first thing in the morning is a bad idea, I guess."

Shiro looked towards the stranger, who seemed to really like it. She wordlessly ate it as she lost track of her surroundings.
