Blue-eyed Sharpshooter: "Thank you very much, Shiro-san."

Shiro: "You're welcome. Feel free to ask questions~"

Kuroneko: "Wait, I think I've heard of her name before. Asada-san, do you happen to have a full dive game named sword something?"

Blue-eyed Sharpshooter: "Sword Art Online? Yes, we do have it here. Do you know about it?"

Kuroneko: "Nothing much... except from 10,000 people being trapped in a game? I've only read some pages of it before. Wait for a while."

Shiro: "As expected of Kuroneko~!"

Closing the virtual panel, Shino arrived at her home. Ever since that accident which resulted her father's death, she and her mother lived together with her grandparents.

She opened the gate and walked past their courtyard. Once she entered the house, the scent of her grandmother's cooking greeted her nose. She took off her shoes as she said, "I'm home."

"You just came home at a right time. Dinner's already ready." Her grandmother, Uyeda Asada, spoke from the kitchen.

"I'll change first. Where's ojii-san?"

"In the back. He's finding something he lost in the past."

Shino headed upstairs while mulling over the events that had transpired today.

*****

"I'm back. Did you see the notification in the Chat Group?"

"I did."

"Well... I got a feeling that a new quest will pop up, so we should prepare in advance."

When Shino Asada joined the Chat Group, he already felt that another quest will arrive. During the time he was in Shinji's world, he mulled over the mechanisms behind quests. If he's not mistaken, they'll go to a group member's world and solve some sort of problem there.

"Oh yeah, what do you want for today?"

"...Something spicy."

"Spicy? Alright." Having thought of the dish that he was about to create, Shiro headed to the kitchen. Surprisingly, they use originum-powered stoves here, saving him from the hassle. All he has to do is to take out the ingredients that he prepared before.

What's more, even though their kitchen doesn't look as modern as Shinji's world, they look neat.

He held one of the ingredients with a look of interest. That's right, its the curry roux that he personally made after some trial and errors. He froze them using magic so that they can solidify at a perfect temperature. He'll just melt it when he was about to use it, making it an easy-to cook food.

'It's good when I first tasted it.' He thought as he became quite disdainful towards McDonalds. 'Homemade cooking is still the best!'

As he started pulling out the pot and other cooking tools, he chatted with Shinji.

[Private] Shiro: "How are things over there?"

[Private] Shinji: "Everything's going alright, aniki. Kariya-ojisan arrived months ago and has settled down here. I slowly gave him the rights as a family head since I thought that he'll do better than... Otou-san."

[Private] Shiro: "You made that decision? It's a good one. Kariya would definitely treat you two better than Byakuya. You saw how sincere he was in the anime, right?"

[Private] Shinji: "Yes... Even if he gets chosen as a Master, the Bounded Fields that you've set up is much stronger than the one in the past."

[Private] Shiro: "If you really can't help it, you can ask for my help. The church isn't trustworthy and Kiritsugu might opt for that method when the time comes."

[Private] Shinji: "Alright. But when will you come visit again? Sakura... She wants to see you."

Shiro went absentminded at that message. After all, he tried his best for them to not be that depended to him; thus the reason why he gave both Sakura and Shinji a goal to strive for.

With a goal, they'll learn to be more independent. Even if they doesn't fully turn out like that, it'll be much better than them depending on him too much.

At that time, Shiro felt that they're in a crucial time for development. He doesn't want them to go 'the wrong way'. This is the main reason why he tried his best to teach the two of them.

When he'd read those ancient books in the library, he even left his notes for their future use. Some lessons on his power system was also printed using the digital printer that he bought for more than a dozen points.

[Private] Shiro: "I'll try to find some ways to visit there. For now, I'll send some videos and you'll send it to her. Is that alright?"

[Private] Shinji: "Yes!"

[Private] Shiro: "Oh yeah, try to make some friends as a new assignment. Either in the Chat Group or in your world, it's completely fine!"

[Private] Shinji: "???"

Shinji became confused as to why Shiro would ask him to do something like this, but before he could even ask further, he saw Shiro's name turn gray, a sign that they've closed the Chat Group panel.

"Hm... I'm quite interested as to how this will progress. Right, time to test some things first."

With this decision, a strange sight of him cooking while several weapons floated occurred in the kitchen. Kal'tsit was quite dumbfounded when she visited the kitchen after she sensed mana fluctuations, but she dismissed it as one of his strange shenanigans.

Turning off the rice cooker, he scooped some rice to two different plates before pouring the Japanese Curry that he made just now. It consists of beef, potatoes, carrots, and some other ingredients like chili peppers that made the traditional dish spicy.

Shiro held the two plates in his hands while he used his mental power to carry the side dishes that he made, a bunch of pickled vegetables that he brought from Shinji's house.

Placing them in the table, he saw eagerness flash in Kal'tsit's eyes before it went back to normal in a second. He only smiled at it and said, "Let's eat."

Silence came between them as they appreciated the food. Kal'tsit, being someone who lived under many identities, ate gracefully. She seemed used to eating even with a pair of chopsticks.

After eating, Shiro was about to stand up when the expected quest prompt appeared simultaneously for everyone.

*****

A/N: The deadline here is the date when the quest can be accepted, not the deadline for the quest itself. If they don't accept the quest at that time, Note 2 would apply to everyone.

Throwing that away from the window, there really are so many notes for this quest! Well, I made it so that modern day people (Touka, Kuroneko, & Shino) can adapt better from the magical worlds. It's kind of like a beginner's mission...

PS: In Japan, bookstores allow you to read the first few pages of a light novel (This is what I recall), thus the reason why Kuroneko had seen SAO before. Take note that Oreimo and Eromanga world has all of the Light Novels of Dengeki Bunko, including Irregular at Magic High, Black Bullet, Railgun & Index, Sword Art Online, and so on.

Happy Reading~!
