"Yawn..."

Shiro watched his flying dagger kill monsters consecutively as he stood still. It has been a week since they first entered the game, and the group had progressed to the 14th floor in one swoop.

Right now, he is facing off against a bunch of mobs such as golems, skeletons wielding sickles, and even a fish that swims underneath the earth!

In that moment, the soil near him rippled before an orange fish with sharp fangs tried to take a bite off him.

Swooosh-!

From its mouth down to its tail, its body separated in half before turning into blue fragments. At the same time, the stone golem that the dagger had been fighting against crumbled into dust after having its core pierced through, dealing a huge amount of damage to its HP bar.

A flying griffin was about to descend at him, only to be struck with a flaming aura blade.

"Forests... I can't say that I hate it." He complained as he thought of how ambushes can come from any of your 360 degree angle. "...Should I just burn this whole place down..?"

Shiro sighed dejectedly as he recalled that these trees are "Immortal Objects". Meaning, he could not implement this genius plan of his.

After ten minutes of walking, he finally cleared this dungeon called "Meditation Forest". The moment he did so, he got teleported out to the entrance of the dungeon.

"Level 28, huh. Ten something levels to go."

Level 40 is the standard benchmark for the so-called Clearers, the players working in the front lines. That's also the goal that the group had settled for now since they needed to have more than 20 first clears before Floor 75.

Meaning, they would need to catch up before the said Clearers reach Floor 50, which is an easy goal for them--only. it'll take quite some time to do so.

"Now that I drained the most efficient dungeon in my level, I should be heading to... the 19th Floor."

The 19th floor is what he had been looking forward to the most due to its environment, a prairie-type. Its also the floor where farmable dungeons resided, giving abundant Cor and other materials for crafting weapons and accessories.

On the way to the dungeon, there're also other field monsters, which he can kill using his "Blade Throwing" (Not a skill but an application of mental power) and . The latter being equipped with five different mods, namely: Shorten Skill Cooldown Time I and II, Increase Critical Damage I, II, and III.

He didn't need to increase his crit rate due to the fact that he's overly lucky. every ten or so monsters, he gains a rare drop. Moreover, critical strikes often applies to his attack even though he'd only hit them twice or thrice.

That's how absurd he is. He even tried the "Enhancement System" of SAO, only to end up with a on an NPC Blacksmith's shop!

Since then, the members of the Chat Group asked him to enhance their items in their stead.

Taking out the , a blue rectangle object that is half-translucent, he chanted, "Teleport, [Leran]."

The moment he did so, he disappeared from his spot, only to show up on the 19th Floor's city, Leran.

"Hm..."

Just like Town of Beginnings, Leran has a mix of modern and medieval architechture. The buildings here went up as high as 4 floors. There are restaurants, cafe, and other stores made up of quartz and cement.

Behind him, a clock was attached to the pillar in the middle of the fountain.

"A new message?"

He opened his main menu and opened the under the [Friends] tab before seeing that it's Touka.

[Touka]: Shiro-san, are you available right now?

[Shiro]: I'm in a town right now, so I could do some enhancements on the way.

[Touka]: Thank you very much. If you could, please increase its and .

[Shiro]: No problem, I'll just drop it off the guild's storage. Make sure to pick it up later!

[Touka]: I understand.

In the past week, they created a guild just for its convenience. Of course, that was after they have cleared the quest on the 3rd floor that is needed to create a guild. There are many name suggestions when they'd created it, but they settled for NEXUS in the end.

It symbolized the same connection that they have, the Chat Group. As for why it is all uppercased, it's something that Shiro had suggested to troll other players, making them think that there's a deeper abbreviation to it when there's actually none.

"It's this one..." He opened the guild storage and saw Touka's item lying there, a giant silver greatsword named . It was something that she got after clearing a hidden quest back in the 15th floor.

Shiro used his minimap as a guide to arrive at one of the blacksmith shops in this floor, something ran by an NPC. When he arrived, there's no players here yet due to the fact that it's early in the morning.

"Good morning, I would like to enhance my item."

"Oho, what'cha need?"

A muscular middle-aged man replied to him in the counter. The build of his body made it evident that he is the blacksmith of this shop.

"I want to enhance its and ." Shiro said so as he placed the silver greatsword on top of the counter. As the counter is an Immortal Item, it wouldn't be affected by its weight.

He then proceeded to pay in the prompt using the Cor that he received from Touka.

"A'ight. Wait for a while."

The blacksmith picked up the greatsword as well as the materials that Touka had farmed before putting the latter on the furnace, causing it to melt. Then, the blacksmith placed the greatsword inside the furnace before waiting for it to glow.

As Shiro watched the blacksmith, two players entered the shop.

'Oi, oi... This is my luck?' He thought as he observed the players. Right now, his double robe is in their "Armor" state. With his hood up and his "Concealment Mask", Shiro is confident to go unidentified in front of may players.

Though, his name are still visible to other players.

"There's someone here."

"Kirito-kun?"

A girl with long chestnut hair peeked her head behind Kirito's back. Shiro didn't mind them much as he greeted, "Good morning."

"Ah, good morning." Kirito, the black-haired boy wearing a plain black cloak, replied to him. "I didn't expect that there would be someone here this early."

"This must be a coincidence. Well, my thing should be almost done..."

Shiro pointed out to the blacksmith doing his job.

At this point, the blacksmith brought out the greatsword and hammered it to his anvil for ten times. Unsurprisingly, the +6 for succeeded.

The silver greatsword shone with silver sheen, indicating that it is close on reaching the maximum enhancement for it.

The two players sized up the glowing greatsword with interest due to the fact that he succeeded up to +6 in one go. Though, they were surprised when they knew that there's still more enhancement to be done to it.

In the end, the silver greatsword shone with faint rainbow light, indicating that it had reached the maximum enhancement of it, which is +10. Shiro placed it in the guild's storage before preparing to leave.

"...You are amazing."

"...You're very lucky!"

Kirito and Asuna could only exclaim at the luck that Shiro possesses. Even, this is the first time that they witnessed someone having a maximum enhancement without failing once.

"Thank you?" Shiro confusedly replied as he continued, "Good luck on your stuff, Clearers."

He only waved his right hand as he left the shop.

"He knew us?"

"You're very popular, Kirito-kun."

"I'm really that popular?"

"Un." She added internally, 'Even with girls.'

"Alright... But did you see his equipment?"

"You mean, the luxurious looking light armor that he has?"

"That's right. I have a feeling that it's from a very rare quest..."

"Your feeling?"

"That's something that I developed during the Beta testing. Hidden quests, rare treasure chests... I have some sort of skill when it comes to this."

The two wondered about Shiro's identity for a while before asking the blacksmith to enhance their equipment...

Fact #3: In Terra, humans doesn't exist, though it is speculated that Doctor (your in-game character) and Priestess (a mysterious character) are one. If they're really humans, it could only mean that humans became extinct in Terra since it is stated before that Doctor came from an extinct race. Still, Doctor has some capabilities that us normal humans doesn't have, such as a lengthy lifespan (The Kazdel Civil war is already ongoing for more than 100+ years, but Doctor didn't really age much (as far as I remember). Also, Kal'tsit and Doctor knew each other way back the Civil War, thus we can safely tell that he has a long lifespan.
