The coffin's cover fell down as it slowly floated down to the ground. When they looked inside, all they saw is an arm made out of flames. It only has the size of a normal human's arm, but the power that it contained is terrifying.
Half of it is transparent while the other half is still on its compressed flame form.
"It's been already purified by half? Who could've done this..."
Shiro was about to wonder when he looked at Surtr. Recalling her race, things wouldn't be strange anymore.
Kal'tsit once told him that they literally fought against the entire world and managed to conquer half before being stopped. The main reason why they succeeded in this regard is due to their power.
Just the Sarkaz Royalties in the past has enough power comparable to a Feranmut, the walking gods on Terra. Their strength is formidable as they could destroy an entire city with a fraction of their power.
There's also some who are weaker than that, but they live up to the name of "Immortal". One such examples are the Feranmuts behind the Ursus Empire, one of the strongest powerhouses up to date.
Even if they die, they transfer their soul to the ones that killed them. Then, they wait until the psyche of the main soul becomes weaker before taking over their body.
The sheer difference between a mortal and a god is enough for them to reign in this planet. Though, it is also because of numerous such beings existing did they get restrained, forming an equilibrium.
As for the wars and politics that Terra has? They're simply the surface problem compared to the Feranmuts and Outer Gods.

The arm instinctively went towards Surtr in an attempt to possess her, but Shiro prevented it using [Quagmire].

The arm tried to move closer, only to get hindered as its time became slower by ten-fold. It's also enough for Shiro to do his job.
'[Eternal Sovereign's Throne].'
His Reality Marble activated, overriding the current reality and teleported them inside a throne room. This time, Shiro didn't choose to sit in the throne as he felt the immediate boost in his Devouring Power here.
'Ten-fold? This should be enough.' He thought as the spread out darkness converged to a single place - the arm.
Specifically, the half of the arm that has the Outer God's will.
"Use your sword." Shiro spoke to her.
"Mn."
While confused, Surtr did as she was told. The moment her blade touched the purified energy by the Sarkaz, something inside her was awakened.
Flames set ablaze as it crackled around her. A vague silhouette started forming behind her as it solidified.
A headless stone demon is apt to describe it. The silhouette possessed the signature horns of the Sarkaz while it has a floating circular shackle in the place of its head.
Lava erupted as it appeared, making Surtr similar to the one in the myths.
More importantly, new memories popped up inside her head, giving her the description of this power. The most significant of them is "Twilight".
It's simply the re-enactment of the myths in the parallel world!
During that time, every single ounce of power inside her would erupt, burning everything to ashes. Be it gods or mortals, none could escape the primordial fire of Muspelheim as it set the entire Nine Realms ablaze.
Meanwhile, Shiro also got his fair share of power up as he looked at the prompts that he received.
[Devouring Complete! Gained the permanent buff "Heaven's Restraint (SS)"!]
[Devouring Complete! The permanent buff "Foreigner's Buff (S)" gains a new effect!]
Skimming through it, he found out that he got a rip-off "Chains of Heaven".
"That guy... his power should be UR..." Shiro muttered as he realized that Enkidu should've suffered the same fate as him. Though, he is genderless while Shiro is a man.
[Heaven's Restraint (SS)]
Details: The power of numerous gods forged to create a set of shackles that would bind an Outer God. Although its true function couldn't come true, it's still used in sealing the cut right arm of the Outer God. It has great effect when it comes to divinities and outer gods.
Effect 1: While shackled, a divine being and outer god is weakened by 50% and 70%, respectively.
Effect 2: While shackled, a divine being slowly becomes vulnerable to the concept of death, thus losing their immortality.
Effect 3: While shackled, a divine being slowly loses their divinity. The speed is equivalent to the power inputted in the chain.
Note: Once the target breaks the shackles, it will take an entire week before it can be summoned forth again; the effects won't take place if it happens.
Unlike Enkidu's Noble Phantasm, this is several levels weaker. After all, it doesn't grow stronger while binding stronger divinity and it's not supported by the world itself.
Still, it'll be useful against weak immortals that only has schemes and their immortality to back them up.
"The new effect... Are you kidding me..?" Seeing the new effect added to his "A Foreigner's Buff", he became dumbfounded.
[Effect 7: Grants invulnerability towards death and its concept for a single moment. Cooldown: 3 years]
Shiro knew that entities outside Earth has this ability (Aristoteles) and envied them. Even if it has a long cooldown, it doesn't matter.
While the flames around Surtr died down, Shiro de-activated his marble. He also went back to his normal appearance.
"Did you have breakfast?" He asked.

Taking out the container, Shiro opened it and took one of the sliced sandwiches out. Surtr didn't mind it and took it, knowing how good his cooking is.
He took out a picnic mat and placed it down before sitting. Just like that, they had breakfast in the ancient tomb that once held a terrifying fragment of an Outer God.
Once they're done, Shiro opened an Aurora Curtain leading near the village.
"Right, what are your plans after this? Seek out your memories?"
"..."
Hearing this, Surtr went silent. She's also lost regarding her future.
Soon, she finally made a decision.
"I want to follow you."
"Ah?"
For a moment, Shiro was caught off guard.
"I'll go wherever you go." She added.
"...Even if I always do something troublesome?"
"Yes."
Seeing her eyes, he knew that she's determined, and he's someone who knows how to accept it instead of going against it.
He sighed as he said, "Alright then. I don't mind a companion."
Once they arrived at the house, they met Kal'tsit's gaze.
"We've finished the matters here. How about you?"
"I settled it." She replied.
"It's time to leave, then..."
