52 Ch. 52 The Baby’s Gender (part 2)
According to Anxia’s request, Ling Meng contacted the obstetrician who had been checking Anxia’s pregnancy condition.
So far, the doctor has come to the house, not the other way around. But now, Anxia took the initiative to go to the doctor’s workplace.
However, because they didn’t want to risk having their faces caught on camera, Anxia and Ling Meng entered the hospital via a back street.
There was a particular path where there were only one or two cameras, and Ling Meng could hack it by freezing the camera footage.
As soon as she entered the doctor’s office, Ling Meng immediately said what they had come for, and the doctor was happy to serve them.
The doctor ordered Anxia to lie down on a long chair to perform an ultrasound examination.
Anxia obediently opened a long, wide t-shirt for pregnant women showing her big belly. Then the doctor put an instrument on Anxia’s stomach making her skin tingle.
Not long after, the doctor showed Anxia through a large monitor next to her. She looked like a miniature baby on the monitor screen. The baby curled up like a ball, making Anxia wonder how such a tiny baby could survive in her stomach.
“I can already see the gender. Do you want to know?” The doctor’s question was immediately nodded enthusiastically by Anxia and Ling Meng. “You will give birth to a daughter.”

“Girl?! Gosh, we have another girl coming!”
Anxia’s lips pursed as it seemed her best friend was more excited about the birth of her daughter. The girl who was the first to exclaim with joy.
Although her expression looked sullen, but in her heart, Anxia was happy to have a daughter. At least she didn’t have to worry that she would see the man’s face in her son.
Usually, a daughter’s face looks more like her mother’s than her father, right?
Unfortunately... Anxia’s wish was completely unfulfilled because her daughter was much more like her father than she was.
After receiving notes and advice on what Anxia should do to maintain her growing fetus’s health, the two shopped for baby girl clothes at several boutique shops.
Since they no longer worked under Master Yu, they only worked as hired informants or spies for their clients. The pay was good enough to make ends meet for them, but not as big as when she worked as master Yu’s assassin.
That’s why they start to save money and be wiser in managing their finances.
Especially now, Anxia decided to take care of her daughter herself so that future expenses would be much more costly.

She even listened to classical or melodious instrument songs that calmed her heart. She also reads positive books interspersed with children’s books filled with pictures and colors.
And as usual, every time Anxia asked her baby to talk, there would be a small header from inside her womb. It seemed that her daughter really liked hearing her mother’s voice, and even more so when Anxia spoke to her.
A few months later, it was time for Anxia to give birth. Since Anxia woke up from her nap, her stomach started hurting and making her uncomfortable.
“Meng Meng!! AAAA!” suddenly, an excruciating pain hit her lower part. It reminded her of when she had menstrual cramps, but this pain... was many times more painful.
Ugh! Even though she can stand the pain, even when she has stomach cramps during her period, she can still survive. Why can’t she stand this one?
