Today was one of the rare days we were in class.
“Today’s lesson is this.”
The teacher started writing on the blackboard.
“The relationship between magic and emotions.”
Oh I see. I looked around at the other students, it seemed like most of them didn’t understand. Of course Toa was an exception, it looked like she knew. Of course I’d also talked to the black dragon and learned that strong emotions can affect your magic.
“Alright everyone, magic and emotion! Your thoughts, these are very closely related!”
A student raised there hand.
“Yes, Aria.”
“Is it like love?”
Aria asked shyly.
“Correct! Love is a thought, a feeling.”
Suddenly Nem stood up and climbed onto her desk.
“Nem, what are you doing?”
I tried telling Nem to get down.
“If it’s love for master, Nem won’t lose!”
What is this girl saying?
“Oi, sit down.”
I urged her down from the desk.
“Oh? Then it must be said. My love for Lord Nito won’t lose to anyone either. ”
This time it was Sufilia, what are they doing in the middle of class!?
“Number 4 can shut up!”
Nem looks down on Sufilia from the desk.
“Four….?”
“Nem is his first wife, Sierra is his second, and Toa is third! You’re the fourth!”
I pulled on Nem enduring the embarrassment and everyone laughed.
“Nito is mine…..Masamune is mine….Nito is mine…..Masamune is mine…”
I heard this and looked to my right. It was Toa.
“Hmm?…”
Toa was staring at her thighs mumbling.
“T…..Toa?”
Her left eye looked up at me and sent chills down my spine.
“I don’t want to be called number 4 by someone who doesn’t even have Lord Nitos surname!”
“Number 4 is number 4, Nem is number 1.”
They managed to wake up Patrick who was sleeping in front of them. The teacher was watching as well, I was so embarrassed.
“You’re being so loud.”
Patrick said rubbing his eyes but the moment he saw me he grinned and went back to sleep.
“I’m number one!”
There was a loud bang on the desk and someone shouted…… it was Toa.
“Whats this?”
I looked at Toa barely able to speak from embarrassment.
“I’m number 1!”
Chills ran down my spine, Toas pupils were dilated and her face was distorted.
“I’m number one?”
Toa had as scary look on her face as she said all this.
“Nem is first! ”
" "“The order doesn’t matter, I’m first!”
“Didn’t I just say that I was first!?”
“Shut up!!”
“And you too! You shut up as well!!”
Patrick suddenly let out a sharp voice stunning the three of them into silence. Patrick normally didn’t get angry.
“You five, go stand in the hallway!”
For some reason I was also made to go outside. It almost seems like I was being sent out as their parent….. We all quietly left the classroom.
“Why am I out here, you guys were the loud ones.”
Didn’t you end up being loud as well! I didn’t say this though.
“Nem, is reflecting on it.”
Nem grabs my sleeve.
“I might….have over reacted.”
It looks like Toa had calmed down.
“I don’t care about class. I’m number one right? So now I’ll take Lord Nitos last name and his seed.”
I didn’t think Sufilia was this perverted… I covered Nems ears. For a moment I saw Toa’s face to the side, she looked to be in a bad mood.
“Well….there are days like this.”
Patrick Yawned as Sarah and Yui appeared beside him.
“Hmm? Where did you two go?”
They said they were eating in the cafeteria, although they also said that they didn’t have to eat food….
“I’m going to the training grounds.”
Yawning Patrick and the spirits went off together.”
“Hey.”
It was Toa.”
“Hmm?”
I looked at her confused.
“You’re angry aren’t you?”
“Hmm? Me? Angry?”
Why did she think I was angry?
“I’m not angry at all…”
O- oh.”
I wonder what Toas thinking right now? I want to know but I don’t think I can just ask.
“Toa?”
She looked at me her pink hair fluttering in the wind. For a moment I saw the Toa who for some reason I’d told my real name.
“What is it?”
I stared into Toas eyes for a minute and she gradually turned red.
“It’s nothing. ”
I looked away but noticed that Sufilia was staring at me. When I looked she had her normal smile but for a moment I thought I felt something dark.
“Are you guys hungry?”
“Should we go to the cafeteria?”
Toa asks since we are just standing in the hallway as punishment.
“Yeah, should we go? We’ll probably just be bored if we stand here.”
I walked behind Toa as we went, I was staring at her hair. She always has such beautiful hair.
I just realized something as well, I’m a student right now. Aren’t I living something like a rose colored life as a student?
My anxiety rushed away as I watched Toas hair fluttering in the wind. I wish this day could continue on forever.
“What is it?”
Toa had stopped and turned around.
“Nothing.”
“Shall we go?”
Toa stuck her hand out.
“Yeah.”
When I did the same she smiled and began walking again. How long will this last? I know I can’t stay like this forever because time keeps moving, on day Nem will grow up and Toa will….
And the syndrome that was recently cured? ‘What was that?’ I wondered as I looked up at the gray sky.
