Lol I read some old comments, I want you guys to know my aloud/allowed mistakes and stuff like that. Isn’t me MTLing or because English isn’t my first language. No I’m a native English speaker, but when it comes to spelling or picking the right word, I am the worst in the history of mankind hahaha. For instance the immolator in hunt showdown? I call them emulators…. And yes I had to Google the proper spelling….

The joint country Numasan. It was called this because the country was formed by an alliance between two sperate countries Numasan and Ixos. Through the alliance the became a single country, at least in the surface.

Masamune was here visiting.

The matches were continuing in Halekuwait and it was probably Patrick’s turn around now. So why was Masamune here instead of supporting him?

That’s because Patrick refused, it seems his spirit magic wasn’t going well and he was embarrassed to be scene by him. He asked him to not watch the matches, of course the other three were still allowed to be there. As such he was visiting Numasan to finish up some business.

The country was protected by a wall all the way around it. The country was relatively wealthy and the homes were gorgeous, there were even streetlights spread out where Masamune was walking. Different races of people all passed by him, beast men, dwarves, Demons.

However this country wasn’t all wealthy, the ratio was 8:2 and in the center of town was the slums.

Masamune opened the door and entered into a store with a light metallic sound.

“Welcome!”

The person who called out was a small clerk struggling to put items on a shelf.

“Hmm, you want me to do it?”

“Ah, thank you. Sorry it’s a bit too high for dwarves, I might have to rethink the placement.”

The clerk was a dwarf with red eyes.

“Ah! Nito!?”

The dwarf stopped what he was doing.

“I came to get what I asked for. Did you finish it?”

“Of course! The workmanship is perfect.”

He disappeared into the back of the shop. The dwarfs name was Tom and he had a small mustache under his nose.

The inside of the store wasn’t flashy and was just an assortment of brown shelves, but the quality of his products were good. The store makes made to order items for its customers, the workmanship is so good that there are fans outside the country as well.

Then another person appeared.

“Ah, if it isn’t Nito.”

“Oh, Dean right? Were you able to make what I asked for?”

“Yes, it’s perfect!”

Dean had a nice black beard, this was also how Masamune distinguished the two of them. Then yet another person appeared.

“Nito!”

“Long time no see!”

Nito gave a wry smile, this was just how the dwarves were. They were overjoyed at the reunion but it couldn’t be helped because they had been oppressed for many years by humans and not many of them were left.

“Sam, have you been well?”

“Yes! We’ve finished what you asked for.”

“Oh! Let me see.”

“Sure thing!”

These three brothers were the owners of the shop.

Tom appeared again carrying a large box.

“This is it!”

" "

“Right!”

I keep my conversation cheery otherwise they get down cast very easily. But it can’t be helped after the oppression.

“Speaking of which this country hasn’t changed has it.”

“….yeah, it’s the same as ever.”

Tom answered but all three looked upset.

“This country looks like a gathering of trash but, that country floating up above, if you ask me it’s the worse than trash. You can really see the ugliness of humans.”

The three dwarves didn’t say anything but the country being referred to, that was floating up above, was Ixos. Numasan was protected by its walls while Ixos floated up in the air. Although it wasn’t necessarily a big country, it floated directly above the slums, casting them in darkness all day long. Any one with the money to do so lived on the outskirts of Ixos out from under the permanent shadow.

“It can’t be helped, thats just what kind of country it is.”

Dean’s expression looked as though he’d given up.

“Yeah but I wonder why it became like this. I think about it sometimes, right now for instance.”

Tom had a sunken expression.

“Thats just what humans are. They’re terrible selfish creatures.”

The dwarves understood what Masamune was saying quite well, they were oppressed by the humans after all. Then Tom emptied the box onto the table.

“Oooh! This is awesome!”

“Yes, we made it exactly as you said. This is a masterpiece made by all three of us, it should definitely help you out.”

“Yeah, I think so too.”

Masamune had come to this country mainly in search of clothes and masks, even though he had money he had yet to purchase himself any clothes. It was actually Francesca who introduced him to the store when Toa went to ask for a poster. Incidentally Toa now has a poster of Nito in her room.

“The ‘fools face’ mask that we dwarves were into battle, based of a Dwarven chief’s. Made to specification so that it covers your whole head.”

Tom explained in a low voice.

“Uhm…. Is it that earring? ”

“Yes.”

Masamune put the earring on his left ear.

“Now then Nito, allow magic power to flow through it. Just a little.”

“Ok.”

Masamune did as he was told and light emerged from the earring to cover his head. It formed a crimson full face mask reminiscent of blood.

A three dimensional demon like face made up the front of the mask.

“Oh! Amazing! This is amazing!”

Masamune was excited without thinking. Masamune did in fact think it was amazing but the dwarves require you to be precise so he began to make more of an effort telling them how wonderful he though it was.

“Thank you for your excitement, compression storage is also possible with the earring.”

Masamune went on to try all the other clothing items on. A leather jacket, leather pants that reached down below the ankle and leather boots, all of them a deep crimson color. Two gold bracelets adorned his wrists and a crimson cloak went around his shoulders, with a deep hood to hide his face. It could also be wrapped entirely around his body.

“Also this cloak of course has cognition impairment magic layered into it.”

And the full face mask will only inhance his image in the world.

“Perfect.”

Masamune muttered as he checked himself in the mirror.

“We applied restoration magic into each of them so that even if they are damaged you can repair them by letting magic power flow through them.”

From bottom to top his body was adorned in the color of blood. This was the new image of Nito.

“And you put in all of my requested specifications?”

“Of course everything is exactly as requested.”

The three dwarves bowed.

” Well then, was that enough to pay for it all? I can give you more?”

“Thats not necessary! We have already received payment.”

“Oh I see, ok then.”

Dwarves are extremely honest and all of their customers are always satisfied.

The door of the shop opens with the same metallic sound and another customer came through.

“Ah, Mr. Romero!”

A man with a brown suit and hat had come through the door. He had a cane in his right hand and a bag in the other, when he removed his hat it was easy to see that he was well on in years.

“Tom, Dean, and Sam, how have you been?”

They seemed to be acquaintances.

“Oh? Who is this?”

The old man was amazed at the all red person in front of him.

“I’ll introduce you, this is Nito. Nito this is Mr. Romero, we usually call him Dr. Romero.”

Romero and Masamune bowed to each other.

“Dr Romero looks human but he’s actually a subhuman.”

Subhuman?

“But you’re a doctor? As in a medical professional?”

“Yes, although it’s embarrassing to call myself a medical professional.”

Dr. Romero was more humble that necessary as he was apparently a very famous doctor.

“Dr. Romero is known as the wandering doctor.”

“Wandering?”

Masamune asked Sam.

“Yes, Dr. Romero is always traveling so it’s quite rare to see him.”

“Hmmmmm.”

“If you’d like Nito, why don’t I take a look at you as well?”

“You should! Dr. Romero is amazing! He can even find unknown illnesses!”

Unknown illnesses? Masamune wasn’t sure what those would be.

“A..ah, then please do.”

“I’d be happy to, but please be gentle with me, Adventurer Nito.”

It was normal for Dr. Romero to know Nitos name, there were few people who didnt. Dr. Romero put on small silver rimmed glasses around which a yellow-green magic circle appeared.

“Now then, Nito. Would you mind looking into my eyes?”

“Yeah…..ok.”

Masamune did as he was told with out understanding.

“Oh?…….hmmm……uuuu…..yes, yes I see.”

Romero seemed convinced of something, he then dispelled the magic circle and put away his glasses.

“Uhm…..is it over?”
“Yes, it’s over.”

“And? Is there anything wrong?”

Masamune wasn’t super interested as he didn’t think anything was wrong with him to begin with.

“Have you had any illnesses before?”

“Illnesses? Not anything particular.”

“I see…I see…”

Masamune began to wonder if there was actually something wrong.

“This is a rare case. I’ve seen it before in a man who didn’t want to grow up. He eventually had a child of his own and was able to reconcile his feelings. But he often said ‘I don’t want to grow up.’ ”

Masamune wasn’t sure what thst had to do with him.

“A mental illness?”

“Correct. It’s called the remembering sickness, it’s where the person can’t forget their past. It’s quite hard on the patient.”

“So, what does that have to do with me?”

Romero looked worried.

“Do you know the term, Parallel world syndrome?”
