A magic circle appeared around Aries’ feet and expanded to fill the entire hall.
“《Teleport》!”
The moment she said that Aries vanished.
“I thought Dragon’s heart would have amounted to more than this.”
Her voice seemed to be echoing around the room as she appeared and disappeared in different places mocking Sieg. They remained vigilant but it appeared that the others were completely at the mercy of Aries and her movement skill, which made it look as though she was actually teleporting.
Masamune however, chanted 《Soul Break》quietly as he stepped forward, his face expressionless.
“I’ll leave the small fry to you.”
A strong wind blew Siegs hair around and immediately afterwards, the stained glass windows on the entire left wall of the hall in front of the throne, shattered.
Someone screamed and vomited, reflexively the entire hall turned to look in the direction of the sounds. What they saw was the hooded man holding Aries by the throat, blood dripping from her mouth.
“Aries!”
The king let out a sorrow filled scream at the sight of his daughter.
“Nito…..?”
The question slipped out as Sieg saw Masamune, nobody had seen him move.
“Let go….of me.”
Aries failed her legs desperately but Masamune simply looked at her expressionless.
“You look different from how you did back then.”
Masamune threw Aries to the floor muttering.
“Kuha.”
Aries tried to stand up slowly from the floor as she coughed violently.
“Thats not how a princess should sound is it?”
Step my step I moved closer to Aries who was down on her hands and knees.
“I’m going to kill you because I hate you. I want you to die looking at my face with that dirty gaze, die resenting me.”
“《Aura boost》”
With his eyes on Aries he reached his hand back and cast ability strengthening magic on the other three people he’d come here with. There bodies glowed with a purple light and they felt stronger.
“I’ve increased your attack and defense both magical and otherwise. Take care of the others as planned.”
“From that distance… and with no magic circle…”
Eliza looked as though she doubted her eyes as she looked at the purple aura around her.
“Giving from a long distance tends to make the technique unstable. If you do more than one at the same time, you definitely need a magic circle. Otherwise, the technique will collapse and the mana will disperse.”
Sieg explained with a calm expression.
“But Nito didn’t use a Magic circle.”
Alford was speechless. Sieg looked back towards Masamune who seemed to have grown cruel in front of his enemies. He was now surrounded by a red-black wave that they were at a lost to explain. But the three saw something else even more difficult to explain.
“Nito…….are you ok?”
Sieg asked this as Masamune was staring down at Aries.
“Hm? What?”
Chills ran down the backs of all three of them when Masamune turned around. His left eye had turned red, a terrifying sight in the darkness, it left them speechless.
“Hm?”
Masamune wondered why all three of them were staring at him.
“I’ll kill two so, you guys do the rest.”
Masamune wore and easy going expression as he turned his attention back to Aries and stepped on her right hand. The bones were crushed and she writhed and struggled, the expression on her face was as if she was attempting to endure the pain but a scream wormed its way out.
“Princess Aries!”
The guards in the hall began chanting in an attempt to help their princess.
“《Explosion》!”
Suddenly several magicians’ bodies exploded, Alford had quickly put a stop to it. Sieg drew his large sword and followed after Alford attacking the enemy.
“Can you hear them Aries? You’re also going to end up like that.”
Masamune was alluding to the screams of those dying behind him.
“Get away from Aries!!! 《Sand Spear》!”
The king stood up and furious, he chanted and made a right handed spear throw towards Masamune.
“《Soul Break》”
However his magic circle shattered causing the cast spear to dissipate before reaching Masamune.
“What!? 《Rock Spear》!”
The king began furiously casting magic again but the circle shattered before the magic could even form. Defeated he stumbled and fell backwards into his throne.
“Why…..why isn’t my magic working.”
The expression on his face was one of utter defeat.
“He destroyed the technique.”
Still on her hands and knees Aries spoke.
“Oh, you’re a quick study but…..who said you could speak?”
“Kuha!”
With his left hand Masamune smashed Aries into the floor.
“As punishment, I’m going to kill your father in front of you.”
Masamune pointed the wand in his right hand at the king.
“Kh….. Demon…”
Masamune wrenched Aries head up by her hair.
“《Phantom Pain》”
The king screamed in pain as his body contorted and drool fell from his mouth.
《Phantom pain》was a magic created by using 《Mischief inversion》 on a magic bullet received from a guard.
“Its perfect isn’t it? This magic allows you to feel the pain from everyone that you’ve killed. 《Phantom pain》!”
“Dad!!”
Aries expression was one of grief as she looked at her father.
“So even you can make an expression like that huh? I’m relieved, it wouldn’t be worth killing you otherwise.”
Smirking Masamune pointed the want at the king once more.
“《Phantom Pain》!”
Masamune smiled as he cast it over and over but the king could no longer speak and a light began to shine from his body.
“Oops, 《Status Effect Heal》”
The light returned to inside the king’s body and he sat up wiping his mouth as though confused.
“I heard, that to perform a hero summoning, you had to hurt people to the point that they became crippled.”
Aries didn’t answer.
“I was relieved when I heard that. Now I can kill you without hesitation. You see because I felt guilty and I couldn’t forgive myself for that. But it’s different now. 《Phantom Pain》!”
“Stop! My dad he’sー”
“Going to go crazy? Hahahahahahaha, don’t worry I’ll heal him again soon. He’ll be fine 《Phantom Pain》!”
Screams rang through the hall until the king once again hit his limit. His eyes rolled back as and drool fell from his mouth. But once again Masamune healed him and he returned to normal.
“I’m bored. OK it’s your turn next Aries. For now I’ll just let him die.”
“Wa-wait! Please wait! Please stop, that’s my one and only dad!”
“It’s like that for everyone idiot. The people you’ve assassinated or sacrificed up until now, there were probably the one and only to someone. But I bet that didn’t occur to you. ”
