“I wanted to be able to move things with my mind, fly through the air, or summon fire…. But as a healer those things aren’t possible for me.”

It seems that to Aries, Masamune should have already died. He smiled at her reaction.

Sighing he walked over to Aries.

Aries glared at him as he drew closer.

Her expression softened and she slowly crawled around so that she could grovel towards Masamune.

“That is where her title comes from, she’s able to change the color of her magic circles making them transparent so her teleporting goes unnoticed by her opponent. Rendering them unable to react.”

“OK that’s enough, I’ve often thought about how I should make you suffer you know. Should I cut off each finger one by one? But now that I’m here all of those ideas are gone. I’m liable to just kill you because my emotions are running pretty high at the moment.”
Masamune jumped forward crushing Aries’ right arm with his left. Her arm burst apart like a water balloon but it appeared that she had no energy left to scream. Was the healing magic not working? Although Masamune didn’t care enough in this moment to question it.

Aries appeared to be paralyzed no longer in pain as her eyes grew hollow.

Masamune stopped the bleeding but the arm didn’t come back. Aries was now without arms.

Even though he asked a question Masamune wasn’t listening to the answer. He instead kicked at Aries’ legs causing both of them to burst as well. And after stopping the bleeding Aries was no longer able to move.

Masamune repeatedly cast magic, healing Aries when it became to much but the effects could be seen on her dress in a mixture of blood, drool and dirt. But still Masamune’s expression never changed.
“I never expected to have to kill here. I didn’t want to kill.”
He kicked Aries in the face, knocking out various teeth.

“Even in that state, you still want to live? That’s surprising.”

Looking down at the scene below him Masamune said nothing. He felt what it was like to take revenge for the first time. His eye continued to glow red but showed no expression. He even felt sad for a moment but there was no sign of this ok his face or in his eyes. Masamune doesn’t understand this feeling. He’s taken revenge but it doesn’t feel as he expected it to, it seems that for a time, Masamune will still be suffering.
