I’m having quite the eventful week… Thursday the plumber has to dig up my yard ?

The red black wave appeared around me.
“Erosion wave huh…. The origin of Hidaka Masamune and the symbol of the abyss.”
The dragon muttered something strange.
“The symbol of the abyss?”
“You didn’t know? It was the first part of the abyss to represent you. It was already answering you at that time.”
“Answering? Erosion wave was an answer?”
“Right, so don’t think anymore. If you think be smart. It’s different from worrying.”
“Wow, you said be smart… that doesn’t fit the image of a dragon at all.”
I laughed unintentionally, it’s not like I could afford to laugh, it just came out.
“Good! Laugh! Don’t worry about things anymore! Humans change, you have changed on your adventure. But how was it? Did you forget those days, no your anger only grew. No matter how much fun you’re having you remember the anger when you are attacked. In other words, that’s who you are.”

The dragon paused, muttered to himself and laughed. What was that? I honestly wasn’t stalling, I just thought if Bell so I asked?
“This is the end. If you keep making the same mistake over and over again you’ll be right back in this situation.”

The dragon didn’t answer, instead it spread its wings and shot out flame twice.
“Answer my question!”
I used 《God Speed》 to dodge the flame, but I couldn’t keep it up because of the three behind me. The dragon was also using its right arm to restrict my range of motion, I expanded my Erosion wave but not to the point that it would hit my companions. Thenー
“《Goddess’s blood tears》”
The magic circle appeared around the dragons body and in the next moment a rain of blood was falling through the ceiling onto the dragon’s body.
“《Blessed spear》”
I stabbed this into my own chest to prevent my MP from being depleted.
At the same time the rain stops and the blood overflows from the circle revealing the state of the dragon.
“No going to work huh?”
The dragon was in harmed.
“Why isn’t it working?”
Could it be the difference in level? I peaked at the dragons status.
“What!?”
What came back was [unknown], and the moment I faltered the dragon breathed fire again. However if I avoided it, it would hit the three behind me.
I increased my Erosion wave still further to try and
prevent the flames from reaching them but the dragon began to shake its head back and forth throwing flame everywhere.
I looked back, they were waiting there just like I said but their expressions made me feel uneasy, just staring at me without saying anything.
I can’t protect them like this, the dragons flame was slowly starting to burn away the Erosion.
“Why?”
But I already knew the answer.
ーbecause I was doubting.
I’m afraid that the Erosion wave will hurt everyone, but what should I do? Expand the wave without hesitation anyway?
The dragon squinted its eyes as if watching and enjoying my conflict.
ーdon’t doubt the abyss.
Thats what Bell said to me back then.
ーif you doubt yourself, then you’ll be swallowed by the abyss.

“Theres a meaning for everything. But not everyone can reach the dungeon and not everyone can understand that meaning. The abyss is not given only to those who seek it, but don’t you think that you’re a special case? Born from an unreasonable coincidence.”
“Your words don’t matter anymore, I am me. And I believe in my magic.”
At that the dragon suddenly breathed fire again.
“《Erosion wave 》”
I poured in all of my magic power, expanding the magic to the point it included the three behind me. Then the fired and the dragons flame collided.
ーdo you doubt the abyss?
“I feel no doubt!”
I expanded the Erosion further, it was in contact with my friends but I wasn’t worried, they were my friends so my magic wouldn’t hurt them. I didn’t even turn around.
“Kill him!!!”
I screamed with raw emotion, willing my magic to erase the dragon in front of me. And in that moment suddenly the dragon stopped its attack.
“As expected, my king.”
In the next instance my magic attacked the dragon erasing it and the the particles of light that it burst into.
By defeating Doppler Lv: 1262, [Goddess Blessing] was activated. No loot found.
Your level has increased from 1262 to level 2009.
I adjusted my breathing and turned around.
“Its over now huh.”
Toa smiled.
“You did it!”
Nem looked relieved.
“I believed in you Lord Nito.”
“Yeah, sorry for making you worry.”
The Erosion didn’t hurt the three of them because I believed.
“So, is it over now that you defeated the dragon?”
“What do you mean is it over? I just worked really hard you know.”
“Oh..right. Good job Masamune!”
Toa gave me a thumbs up and smiled as she said this. It helped me relax a little.
“Well anyway, this thing wasn’t a dragon, it was a Doppler. That’s why it could change its appearance like that.”
I still can’t explain why he transformed into Saeki or the dragon I met though.

I remembered the scene where toa was covering her mouth.

I guess after the Empire’s attack I heard that Toa worked really hard so maybe that’s true. There must have been blood all over that time as well so.
While I was thinking this the dungeon began to shake again.
“Everyone stay close to me!”
The four of us held hands as the walls began to fall away leaving a pure white space behind.
“Whats….going on?”
“Whats next?”
Toa asked.
“I don’t know.”
But I’d noticed.
“Its for me.”
“Huh?”
“This dungeon is for me.”
“That…”
“Everything that came before was related to me. It’s odd to think that way, but whatever comes next, will also be related to me.”
Then suddenly a video like phenomenon began to play all around us. On the floor, the ceiling, the walls, the other three fell silent as they watched.

I’m not alone anymore, and I will move forward from now on to keep it that way.

I looked all three of them in the eye.
“I am Nito…Masamune is dead.”

“I understand Lord Nito.”
Sufilia looked happy.
“Ok….Nito.”
Toa was a little awkward but she didn’t deny me, I don’t need that name anymore.
