A NEET’s Guide to the Parallel World: Healer, the Strongest Cheat?
I ran up the stairs, I climbed and I climbed but the end was nowhere in sight. Starting out I ran up the stairs as fast as I could, but eventually it started to wear on me. So, I decided to take a breather and pulled out my snake sword.
I acquired the snake sword Killgills earlier as a drop from Shawn. The blade was that of a sword with a snake decoration, so my equipment increased by one.
However, I’m not sure I can actually use a sword. Outside of like cutting vegetables and shaking it at people…. Violently. Violently shaking it at people so as to injure them.
Actually I think the me as of now is probably fine, since for the foreseeable future I will remain as a healer. Fortunately, I didn’t just received Shawn’s snake blade, I also got one creature’s and one human’s worth of experience.
First, the Mad eye. With it’s defeat I rose from level 212 to level 318. The problem is that when I found out the snake king Shawn’s level it made me spit out my victory drink. At level 916 his defeat raised me from level 318 to level 697. At this point, I’m not impressed anymore.
With his defeat came the title [Snake god’s friend], who I assume is Shawn but he’s not here any longer. So I don’t actually know how I got it.
Next who could forget the [goddesses divine protection], with it I chose the unique skill [God speed]. This seems to be how that guy was so fast.
The other skills available were [heat sensing], [poison], and a summoning magic [Hydra]. It was hard to lose any of them but nothing could replace that kind of speed.
Last item of note, Shawn did not disappear into particles of light but instead left behind a corpse. I intend to find out why he was different once I get out of here.

Thanks to Shawn’s advice I’ve come to understand exactly how strange I am. I don’t feel like losing to anyone any longer so, I decided to move forward without showing of my skills. Mostly because I don’t like pain. I didn’t like when my arm got bit, and I definitely didn’t like getting stabbed in the stomach.
I must be vigilant, no letting my guard down. I will not die until I’ve killed them. The feeling is still fresh, I want them dead.

An hour has passed since I began climbing these stairs, I still cannot see the exit. Fortunately for times like this, I stored all of the wine from the earlier storage, including the barrels, inside [King’s Ark]. I decided to take some out to wet my throat a little.
“I guess I messed up when choosing how to proceed. Should have asked Shawn.”
I pulled down on the torch hanging from the wall and then proceeded to head up endlessly. I had finished the wine bottle, so I simply pulled out another from the storage space.
“[Status Effect Heal]”
After drinking an entire bottle of wine, I had become rather drunk. Using a quick spell I sobered myself up, all purpose magic is great.
“I can drink forever, as much as I want.”
I had started climbing the states again, after picking up my foot I set it down on the next step.
“Are y….. se…ous….?”
Faintly, I could hear someone talking, I couldn’t believe it.
“Wh….. you’re jo…ng”
The darkness of the torchlight lifted, trees and fields had grown around me. I was standing in the middle of a prairie.
My face portrayed my surprise as my mouth dropped open. In fact, as the light stung my eyes, the only thing I didn’t drop was the wine bottle.
“How in the…? Wasn’t I climbing stairs just now?”
However, it didn’t take me long to understand what had happened.
“Teleportation?”
I’ve experienced it before, it felt just like this.
“I see, I guess I’ve made it outside.”
With that, I was assaulted by a wave of overbearing joy.
“I did it! I’m finally here!”
Seeing the blue sky I one again confirmed I was in another world and at the same time was overwhelmingly happy.
That’s right, this is another world isn’t it!? This is where it starts. My adventure!”
I took a sip of wine.
“Alford!”
Suddenly someone shouted from behind me, still drinking the wine I glanced behind me.
“Goku….. Goku…… hmm? Gohou kohaaa! What the hell you guys!”
I choked on the wine.
When I looked behind me, there stood two men and a woman in black robes all staring at me with sharp gazes.
“We’re saved sieg, but before that, Eliza. Did he get a proper look at us?”
“H-he did, but he didn’t react.”
The red haired guy and the blonde woman seemed to be fighting about something.
“I see, he didn’t react huh. Who the hell does this guy think he is!?”
That red haired guy has just been staring at me.
“It doesn’t matter who he is, he probably heard what we were talking about. He dies here.”
“Question, are you guys human?”
I could hardly contain my excitement, in front of me were humans. Not treasure box mimics, not monsters I thought were human. Well, Shawn wasn’t exactly a monster, but these guys have human like eyes and everything.
And then, I noticed. The black haired guy held a sword in his right hand.
“Wait, wait, wait, whoa what are you doing suddenly?”
“Are you after us!? I don’t recognize you, where are you from?!”
If possible I’d prefer not to fight, I can kill people I just met. Actual people, after so long, no I can’t kill them.
“Who are you! Are you an enemy?”
Even if I wanted to use magic I put [saint’s Wrath] into [King’s Ark]…. How else was I going to hold the wine bottle.
Then there was Shawn’s advice to consider, as it stands I probably shouldn’t use erosion wave. I glanced at my right hand and saw it holding Killgills at my side.
“If you don’t answer it’s safe to assume you’re and enemy right!?”
The black haired man readied his sword as he dashed towards me.
“Didn’t I tell you to wait!?!”
“Inherent skill [god speed] activated.”
I passed beside the black haired man and wrapped around behind the woman on his left.
“Don’t move!”
I held Killgills to her throat as I shouted.
“Eliza!” the red haired guy shouted.
“Did I not just say don’t move!? Can you not hear me!?”
“You bastard! When did you?” Black hair spoke up as well.
Black hairs eyes were wide open, he had no idea what just happened.
“This is the last time, don’t move. You put that sword away, and you. Get your fucking hand away from that blade. I won’t say it twice.”
Red hair had his hand stretched towards the sword at his hip.
“Seig this is our loss. Let’s surrender. Theres no way for me to react to being captured, I couldn’t even see his movements just now. Could you?”
In case of emergency I can use [god speed] to run, since they couldn’t see me when I used it just now.
As I was contemplating that, black hair started to laugh.
“It’s like we belong to two different worlds. Alright, we get it. We surrender so let her go.”
As he said this he put his sword back in the sheath.
“Huh?” What just happened? “What are you doing? Are you trying to set me up?”
“No, I already said I won’t do anything. Now just let her go.”
“Everyone tells the exact same lie.”
“I’m telling you I’m not lying.”
He has an annoying laugh, but I cant help but worry about the sword.
“You’re going to draw it if I let her go, aren’t you.”
“What? Of course I’m not going to draw my sword. I promise I won’t do anything.”
The black haired man bowed calmly as I released the blonde girl.
“Thank you.”
She thanked me. Actually if you really look at her she’s kind of pretty, no even if you barely look at her she’s pretty. I was about to kill this beautiful woman, I held a sword to her throat. My hand shook a little.
She saw right through me and started to laugh, I was fascinated by her. Although I did wish she would stop making fun of me.
“Alright, I’m out.”
“Please wait a moment!”
As I turned to leave I heard a voice call out from behind me.
” Did you need something?”
“My name is Seig. I have a request for you.”
“I didn’t ask your name.”
“Will you give me a hand with something?”
The blonde girl and the guy she called Seig started to argue about something, seriously what are these guys trying to do. During this I tried to leave but I got caught. Although if I could teleport I could go somewhere, less annoying.
“Hey can I go now? Even if I do what you’re asking there’s nothing in it for me is there?”
“Well, there’s….”
“I’m in a hurry so, excuse me.”
I waved at them as I walked away, when suddenly.
“[Fireball]!”
I heard the voice shout from behind me.
“Oioioi!”
Countless fireballs burned the air as they flew towards me. The hem of my uniform was singed as I barely used [god speed] in time. if I had been any slower the degree of the burn would have been much worse.
“What the hell are you trying to do!?”
The king, the queen, this world’s people love to betray. The man before me stood there laughing. There was Shawn’s words to consider so, if possible I didn’t want to use it.
But I should be able to kill these people quickly.
