Extra chapters: ko-fi 12
The plumber is supposed to finish tomorrow. I know its been a bumpy two weeks for the translations but hopefully we can get back to normal. Hopefully…i know ive said this before though…sorry guys

“Not them.”
Koizumi cut Saori off.
“Why? But Saeki, I mean I knowー”
“He’s not that kind of person.”
The other students were all confused.
“What does that mean?”
Iida asked.
“He doesn’t believe he had anything to do with what happened to Hidaka.”
All of the other students were in the audience at the time and couldn’t hear him. Saeki was devious in the way he did things, he said it quite enough for only Koizumi to hear. His theory was that no one would believe Koizumi even if he told them.
“In the field he told me that he didn’t feel guilty, that he hated the weak.”
The whole place quieted down.
“Seriously?”
“It was a calculated move, he figured no one would believe me anyway.”
Saori was flustered.
“If you invite Saeki I’ll leave. I don’t want to end up dead too, he’s different from us.”
“Different, what do you mean?”
“We haven’t killed anyone directly yet right? I’m not sure I could. However, I think Saeki could do it easily. In fact, I think he’s waiting for the day he can kill someone. He’ll probably call it growth.”
“Did he say that?”
“No, it’s just my impression of him. You can see it just by looking.”
Koizumi was quite emotional, he was actually probably the most sensitive out of the group.
“Then what about Kida? I’m sure Kida probably feels sorry for Hidaka.”
" "“You should give up on him as well.”
There was silence again and Koizumi looks at the others facial expressions.
“You can think about it as me just protecting myself if you want. ”
“No just… I want to know the reason.”
Saori seemed calm.
“Saeki is malicious but in the beginning Kida didn’t have any malice.”
“Doesn’t have any malice?”
“I don’t think he knew what he was doing. ”
Everyone looked confused.
“I mean he used to make Hidaka do things with Saeki. But I don’t think he was aware that he was bullying Hidaka. Because other than using him to bring drinks and food and all that he didn’t do anything else to him.”
“But Hidaka hated it didn’t he? That’s why he committed suicide.”
“He didn’t notice, you know that’s guys in the news that don’t understand other people’s feelings? They don’t understand that they’re rapists or stalkers.”
Koizumi seemed frustrated.
“In other words Kida never thought about it?”
“Thats what it looks like to me. In my opinion there is nothing worse than a guy who doesn’t even notice what he did.”
Everyone was silent. They all felt uncomfortable, as though Koizumi had said what they had all been thinking.
“Ok, for now we’ll leave Saeki and Kida out.”
“Ok, I’ll leave the rest to you then.”
The conversation continued for a while after that.

After that the tournament began and Saeki continued to win. He trained everyday with Joanna who also continued to win. Although Joanna was the favorite to win so no one was truly surprised by it.
And then, the match between Saeki and Joanna came.
“The day finally came huh Saeki.”
“I’ll do my best sensei.”
" "Joanna smiled as the match started and Saeki pulled out his sword.
“《Fire speed》”
Saeki sped himself up with fire magic and approached Joanna with his sword.

Saeki lost.
It didn’t matter how much Saeki had grown, Joanna was still better. However after that Saeki still managed to earn a spot as the third person on the team.
Meanwhile Joanna faced someone by the name of Ted Lloyd. However Ted Lloyd was in a totally different league and she was defeated.
Saeki, Joanna, and Tim these three were the line up for the competition against Halekuwait.
“Students, I hope everyone will take this as a learning experience, win or lose. Now for our winners, the battle with Halekuwait is waiting for you.”
And thus the team selection came to an end.

Saeki saw someone he hadn’t seen in a while as he was leaving.
“Kyogoku?”
“Oh, if it isn’t Saeki.”
Kyogoku Shinya, he what you might call unlucky, he was a school drop out that had just happened to be caught up in the summoning.
“Where have you been?”
Even in Greyberg, he hadnt been involved with anyone. He was in the school building somewhere but Saeki had never seen him because he never showed up.
“Where? Uhh, the roof I guess?”
“The roof?”
“Yeah, I like taking naps on top of the tower.”
Saeki was confused, the tower was the tallest tower on campus. However the door was always magically locked, how did this guy get past it?
“So, why didn’t you participate in this?”
“Hmm, oh the school competition? I did participate.”
“Oh, I didn’t see you, how far did you get?”
“Well, everyone was too weak so, I kind of just started messing around. No one in this school is a match for me.”
“Don’t say that.”
“Well, it doesn’t have anything to do with me. I hope you’re happy participating though. I don’t care about it.”
Kyogoku left, leaving a frustrated Saeki behind. Saeki had never seen him use magic before. Even still he dared not say anything to him, instead of thinking he was weak he had an eerie feeling that Kyogoku was incredibly strong. He couldn’t explain it but for some reason he was scared.
