Wen Qingyou x Jiang Lingwei (2)

He had an Asian face with a high face value. She just didn’t know which country he was from.

Jiang Lingwei looked around the beach, but never saw that figure again, so she didn’t take it to heart anymore, and chatted with Zhou Ya for a while until evening. When Fu Wenqing and her parents were tired from playing, the group returned to the hotel.

When Jiang Lingwei entered the elevator, the elevator on the other side of the hotel slowly opened.

Wen Qingyou walked out from the inside, followed by two men, who were talking in English as they walked.

“After two days of work, FD’s contract is finally in hand.”

“Derek, shouldn’t we celebrate?”

“We will go to a nearby bar in the evening, will you join us?”

Wen Qingyou shook his head. “No, I want to rest.”

The contract with FD had been in a stalemate for a long time without being signed. Wen Qingyou inadvertently discovered that their boss liked surfing, so after he accompanied the boss twice on a game, the other party was surprised and admired his skilled surfing skills. After a few rounds down, the contract was finalized.

After dinner, his colleagues wanted to celebrate and went to a nearby bar together. Wen Qingyou, on the other hand, wanted to rest and went back to the hotel alone.

When he entered the elevator, he suddenly changed his mind again for some reason.

He pressed the twelfth floor, the hotel’s own bar, which was a quiet kind.

Wen Qingyou planned to go for a couple of drinks.

At 8 o’clock in the evening, Jiang Lingwei took her parents, grandma, and her best friend Zhou Ya to the restaurant on the ninth floor of the hotel to finish their meal, and then sent the few elders back to their rooms.

After they were all settled, she went back to her room, changed into a medium-length dress and came out.

The skirt was champagne, a very gentle shade. It appeared quite feminine when set off with her skin tone.

“Where are we going to drink? There is a good bar in the street ahead.”

Jiang Lingwei shook her head. “Let’s go to the twelfth floor. My grandmother is here, and she doesn’t like me going to those bars for fun.”

Zhou Ya gave it a thought. “Okay, it’s the same wherever we drink anyway.”

The two went together to the twelfth floor. Although it was the hotel’s own bar, the place was also very large. Compared to bars outside, the environment here was more comfortable.

There were singers singing relaxing songs on stage, hotel guests sitting around in twos and threes, and waiters weaving in and out of the crowd; the atmosphere was quiet and relaxed.

Jiang Lingwei and Zhou Ya sat down and each asked for a cocktail.

The two of them started talking about college, one glass after another. Halfway through the conversation, Zhou Ya suddenly pushed Jiang Lingwei’s arm. “Look over there.”

“What are you looking at?”

“What else can I look at? Of course I’m telling you to look at men. I guess this one must have Latin genes, so handsome.”

Jiang Lingwei followed the direction she pointed to, then snorted disdainfully. “Him?”

She had seen a lot of the so-called handsome white men these days, but none of them really caught Miss Jiang’s fancy.

But in the moment when Jiang Lingwei was withdrawing her eyes, her gaze stopped abruptly.

It stopped at the bar.

A figure was sitting indifferently on a high chair, with beautifully bony hands. He was casually holding a wine glass, taking a sip from time to time, idly watching the performance on stage.

He was no longer clad in a black surfing suit she saw during the day, drenched in water.

Now he was wearing a white shirt with meticulously buttoned cuffs and gold-rimmed glasses on his face.

He was well-dressed, refined and noble.

But he also exuded an unconquerable abstinence.

‘…It’s him.’

Jiang Lingwei thought of the subtle touch on her waist, curled her lips, sipped the wine in her glass, and said, “The real handsome is over there.”

Zhou Ya followed her eyes and looked over. “Huh, you like a refined gentleman?”

‘Refined?’

Jiang Lingwei laughed softly.

Her intuition told her that this man was by no means gentle.

After drinking the wine in her glass, Jiang Lingwei whispered to Zhou Ya, “I can’t accompany you to get drunk tonight.”

“Huh?”

“I’ve got my eye on him.”

“…”

Before Zhou Ya could say anything, Jiang Lingwei got up, loosened her long hair that was tied together, and walked towards the bar.

Zhou Ya smelled the fragrance that instantly rippled in the air, spreading from Jiang Lingwei’s hair.

And this fragrance quickly spread from the seat to the bar.

Jiang Lingwei naturally sat down in the seat next to Wen Qingyou.

The man’s eyes briefly fell on her for two seconds, but there was no obvious reaction.

This made Jiang Lingwei’s desire to conquer him a little heavier.

She asked the waiter fluently in English for a glass of wine, but when she chose to pay or sign the bill, she frowned and said slyly, “Sorry, I forgot to bring my wallet out.”

After saying that, she looked at Wen Qingyou and took the initiative to try, “Hi, can you buy me a drink?”

Behind the lens, the man’s eyes landed on Jiang Lingwei lightly, and after a moment, he signed her order without saying anything.

After getting the wine, Jiang Lingwei picked it up and smiled at him. “Thank you.”

“Don’t mention it.”

So far, their conversation with each other was in English.

Jiang Lingwei successfully started the first step. While sipping the wine from the glass, she listened to the singer’s song before asking him again, “Chinese?”

Wen Qingyou didn’t reply, but the corners of his lips twitched.

Only after a while did he look at Jiang Lingwei and replied to her in Chinese, “It seems that you should be buying me this drink.”

Jiang Lingwei didn’t expect that he would suddenly switch the topic to the wine in his hand.

She looked at him calmly. “Why?”

“I helped you during the day, didn’t I?”

“…”

Jiang Lingwei thought he didn’t remember.

She thought he was dismissive of their contact, which was so short it lasted only a split second.

He didn’t even give her another glance.
