UniVerseLessOne I got caught up with business competition matters in this chapter. Sorry.

Direct competitors are brands or businesses that sell the same products or services to the same target audience.

They operate within the same industry.

They provide the same or similar products or services.

They target the same audience of consumers.

They satisfy the same customer need.

They use the same channel of distribution.

There was also the indirect competition type that would operate different products to cater to the same needs but it wasn't quite relevant when it comes to the comic industry feud.

Without doubt, DC, Marvel, indie publishers, and the popular Creed Comics are in direct competition with each other as they go head to head to stay afloat in the comic book industry.

There is an increasing profit cake to share after all but everyone wouldn't be satisfied with sharing it equally with everyone. Everyone wanted the biggest piece and battling against each other was inevitable.

The competition wasn't all bad though as the rise of Creed Comics essentially also gave an upgrade to the niche comic book market. It was slowly but surely becoming less niche and everyone in the industry was experiencing the advantage of it.

Competition in business often provides opportunities for brands and businesses to improve the performance of their products and services. Truly showcasing its essentialness and inevitability.

It helps in addressing the needs of customers, analyzing strengths and weaknesses, increasing demand, urging innovation, revealing competitive advantages, and promoting overall business development.

Business competition motivates brands and businesses to fulfill their customer's needs more effectively than their competitors.

This promotes organizations to develop their understanding of the needs of their target audience and tailor their offerings to fulfill satisfy their needs including higher quality products, the increased value of services, and enhanced customer satisfaction

This encourages organizations to evaluate their strengths and weaknesses and optimize their strategies based on these findings.

This may allow brands and businesses to maximize the talents of their teams and departments, make informed decisions about their marketing and sales strategies and tailor their offerings according to their strengths.

Competition is clearly an effective way to increase the demand for a product or service. As more companies invest in their marketing and advertising efforts, consumer demand for their products and services may increase as brand awareness continues to grow.

This is beneficial to each competitor involved and may result in increased revenue, higher customer acquisition, and retention.

It also encourages organizations to innovate their strategies and improve their products or services in creative, revolutionary ways.

This is an important contribution to the continued improvement of goods and services, the advancement of technology products and services, and adapting to the changing needs of consumers.

By studying their competitors' tactics, brands and businesses may be able to reveal their own advantages in the market. This may help organizations better understand the aspects of their business that differentiate them from the competition, and using this information, they may develop strategies that contribute to their success.

Continued business development is also an important factor in long-term success.

Business competition often challenges brands and businesses to continually improve their procedures, analyze the success of their efforts and develop new methods of achieving their objectives.

Overall, it pertains to the healthy side of how companies are competing as similar companies continue to understand your competition, make positive connections, demonstrate your uniqueness.

Rivalries and product conjunctions truly goes with the business territory. A perk that would always come along when it comes to growing a company or an entire industry.

The problem that occurred when Creed Comics is taken into the equation though is that their competition was never really able to gain ground against them.

It had the greatest competitive advantage to the point that it never took competition into consideration during its growth at all.

Something much irksome than being beaten fair and square is the fact that you weren't given any attention at all.

With Creed Comics singlehandedly topping everyone else., trouble comes knocking.

Creed Comics certainly wasn't as snobby or uncaring towards others like that but its straight-to-the-point strategies always come out as indifferently detached to the diminishing companies.

From there, unhealthy competition would take the flow of the market towards the dark, unfair, and grimmer side of things.

Scarcity and fear. Competition is unhealthy when it presupposes that there's only a limited amount of success or achievement available out there in the world. In that way, it's based on scarcity and fear rather than abundance.

One has to have to fight to get a piece of the pie, or else others will get it and nothing will be left.

Diminishing others. Competition can become even unhealthier when it's about tearing others down. It's one thing to be motivated by self-interest, but another thing to start actively sabotaging the performance of others.

This ill will and destructive activity not only hurts others but also eats at the core of the person or entity dolling it out.

Winning at all costs. Unhealthy competition puts a disproportional amount of emphasis on the outcome, rather than valuing the process or the journey involved in getting there. And when the outcome becomes the sole focus, it can promote the idea that a person or team has to do "whatever it takes" in order to succeed.

Unfair competition is conducted by a market participant which gains or seeks to gain an advantage over its rivals through misleading, deceptive, dishonest, fraudulent, coercive, or unconscionable conduct in trade or commerce.

This mentality can then lead to all sorts of bad decisions and unethical practices. Even Creed Clothings with its British origins was torn down by unjust means and left someone skilled like old Sullivan to migrate to another country.

Creed Clothings should not be the first victim of such troublesome practices and it would seem that Creed Comics is set up to be the next target for schemes and hidden deceit.

------

Whether it be DC, Marvel, or any other devious company, their decision seems to be unanimously agreed upon as they gathered whatever weakness and attack option they could gather.

A new comic book empire had already formed in its infancy within less than a year and they can't tolerate what it would become when it would continue to grow.

The opposition grows strong as their means become more and more catered towards the formidable Creed Comics that is hovering on top of the comic industry.

DC opened up their case files against that made them strategically win against Fawcett Comics and snag Shazam. Meanwhile, the others take inspiration from all the other "lawful" strategic precedence that has been done in comic books and even other industries outside of it.

Printing troubles, possible character infringements, story similarities, extended lawsuits, compiled complaints, and all the other possible means that could be considered as a weakness by any other company.

Creed Comics is already the center of the hidden storm that is slowly unraveling and forming. It is slowly building up while the eerie calm of December is fermenting it.

The dynamics of the competition has been turned up but it is still lying low and waiting for the right time to surface.

This was the calm before the storm as they say and it would seem that it may or may not be the major unrest that would disturb the growing niche community in one way or another.

UniVerseLessOne This is a work of fiction and a lot of unresearched topics so don't bash my trashy work too much.
