According to Jude-san, every magical beast had a different lifespan with the longest being able to live for over thousands years while the shortest could only live for about two to three years. Their lifespan was proportional to their power, which meant my magical beasts should’ve a long lifespan.
Also… That meant they had a long period of childhood too… Based on their speech and conduct so far, I’d say Spica was like in her early teens… Like maybe if I were to compare him to a human, he’d be in upper grade school by now. While Altair… Altair appeared to be much younger than Spica. Probably Altair should still be in lower grade school.

In response to our conversation, Altair became distracted and turned his head to voice his disapproval. From there, the dragon beast took his chance and snapped his fangs toward Altair’s side, making Altair panicked. Altair then desperately shook the dragon beast off.
He looks like a snake so… Could his fangs be venomous?
After shaking the dragon beast off, Altair took his distance and began to attack with his sharp wings, just like what I had instructed him to. With his big wings spread wide, Altair shot countless flaming feathers. Altair directed his attack toward the dragon beast but the dragon beast easily avoided Altair’s attack by wiggling and twisting his body.

In response to the examiner’s instruction, Percy opened his mouth and immediately after that, he created a tornado, even bigger than himself and shot it toward Altair.

Thankfully Altair could avoid it but…I didn’t know why… Maybe because of the way Altair spoke, I.. Somehow I couldn’t feel any tension. Well to be fair the battle itself was quite intense but still, you know? Even Percy noticed it, the dragon beast looked somewhat irked at Altair.

When I heard Spica’s voice, I shifted my attention to the ground and saw Spica biting the minotaur’s neck from behind but it turned out the minotaur’s skin was too thick and Spica’s fangs couldn’t pierce it deep enough to cause any damage.
Ah.. The minotaur’s dark brown skin looks very tough…
In regards to my instruction, Spica agreed to use wind magic. He howled, creating a sharp wind blade that he directed toward the minotaur.

The minotaur or Benno to be precise, used two out of his four clubs and spun them around, creating a windmill shield to block the wind magic Spica had just released.
So you can also defend against magic by using brute force like that, huh… I don’t think Benno can use magic but his strength seems to be far superior than Spica’s.
“Ten minutes has passed! Another ten minutes left!”
The examiner who was sitting a distance away from us, shouted to tell us how much time we had left.

So far, neither of them could deal any decisive blow and so I thought twenty minutes would just pass without any real victory but instead, the wizard lady smiled as she told me that.

I crouched beside Altair. I touched his wings but he just laid there limply. He couldn’t even answer my question.
