Chapter 70 : Date with Sig

“As promised, the two of us are going on a date tomorrow!”
“Eh? Ye-Yes?”
A few days later after our first sleepover, I went to visit them in their rental house again. We had just finished lunch, which I had cooked myself. I was relaxing in the living room when Sig-san exclaimed, pressing me to answer to his words quickly. His tail was wagging back and forth excitedly.
That’s right. Tomorrow is my date with Sig-san.
“The two of us are going to go finish our quest so make sure you guys don’t stay out too late, okay?~”
“Yes.”
“Okay then. Ren, I will go pick you up so can you please prepare a lunch box for two tomorrow?”
“Alright…?”
Right. Fer-san and Chris-san had to go to finish their quest while I went on a date with Sig-san. I hoped Fer-san and Chris-san wouldn’t get hurt…
Though… Lunch box? I wonder where Sig-san planned on taking me?

“Good morning, Sig-san. Where are we going today?”
As requested, I had been waiting with two lunch boxes in hand. Sig-san arrived at around 10 am with a big smile on his face. I greeted him and asked him where we were going today.
“Good morning. Ah… It’s still a secret. Anyway, I have Oscar with me so let’s walk to the city gate. Once we’re outside the city, we’ll take Oscar for a little run.”
“Oh? We’re going out of town?”
“Yeah. It’s okay. We’re not going that far.”
The rental house the three of them rented came with a stable so Oscar and the others began to live together with us. We began to walk side by side with Oscar. But really, no matter how many times I saw him, Oscar still looked as cool as ever!
Sometimes Oscar would gnaw on my hair, he was still as mischievous as ever as well… Sig-san would scold Oscar everytime he began to pull my hair but Oscar didn’t look upset at all. Oscar must’ve been doing it because he wanted to get our attention.
It didn’t take long for us to reach the city gate. The two of us got on Oscar’s back and the horse began to run after Sig-san gave him his cue.
“We’re going to reach our destination soon so can you please close your eyes for a bit?”
“Huh?”
“Just do it, okay?”
“….? Okay.”
We had been running for about 30 minutes when Sig-san told me to close my eyes. He didn’t tell me the reason why but I decided to trust him anyway and closed my eyes. It was a little scary not being able to see anything when you were sitting on top of a running horse. I grabbed on Sig-san’s arms which were outstretched on both of my sides to hold onto Oscar’s reins.
“Come on, Ren. I’m going to put you down, alright? Keep your eyes closed, okay? …. Okay, you can open your eyes now.”
“…Whoa!”
We were walking at a slow pace before Oscar stopped somewhere. I felt Sig-san gently grab my underarm and help me down from Oscar. I kept my eyes closed until Sig-san gave me the signal to open it.
When I opened my eyes, my vision was instantly greeted with a field of sunflowers. All I could see was these beautiful yellow flowers no matter where I looked.
“Amazing! So amazing! It’s really… Beautiful…”
“Do you like it? No one is really taking care of them but they are able to bloom beautifully like this, you know? You can only see them at this time of the year so I was thinking of showing this to you…”
“Thank you very much! I really like this. Whoa… So breathtaking…”
I was rendered speechless before this sunflower field. I just stood there, admiring the flowers.
“Ren? You’re going to have a heatstroke if you just keep standing here. There’s a big tree over there. Let’s sit by the shade and eat there?”
“Ah! Yes! Sorry… I was so absorbed in staring at the flowers…”
Just like what Sig-san said, I’d definitely pass out from the heat if I just stood there so I obediently followed Sig-san’s lead to sit by the tree.
Sig-san took a sheet from his leg pouch and laid it down on the ground before prompting me to sit on top of the sheet. He gave some water and food for Oscar before he took a seat with me.
“Ah, I’m so excited for Ren’s lunch box! Let’s dig in!”
“Yes. It’s not much but please help yourself.”
The lunch box I had prepared was not extravagant at all so I got a little bit worried because it seemed Sig-san had put too much expectation on the lunch box.
For the rice there was miso yaki onigiri and another onigiri mixed with small fried fish and cheese.
I also prepared a rolled egg with green onions inside, teriyaki chicken and pickled vegetables that resembled bell pepper from earth. I made sure to use various colored bell peppers to make the whole layout more appetizing.
There was also spicy garlic shrimp and deep fried fish.
For dessert, I’ve prepared several fruits that I would peel right here and then.
“Ren’s cooking is delicious as always. I’m so lucky to be able to have you as my spouse.”
“Fufu~ Thank you for the praise, Sig-san.”
Sig-san dug into his food. He even moaned out loud with every big bite he took. In no time the lunch box was completely devoid of food, leaving only a satisfied looking Sig-san behind. It made all the effort in cooking worthwhile when someone showed how much they appreciated the food like Sig-san did.
“Ren, lend me your lap.”
“Huh? Yes, here you go?”
As soon as I finished tidying up, Sig-san asked for my lap to be his pillow. I had no qualms in lending my lap to him so I sat up straight in seiza style.
Sig-san rested his head against my head. I took this opportunity to run my hand through his hair. Sig-san’s hair felt softer than it looked. I gently brushed Sig-san’s hair using my hand and untied any knot while making sure to avoid Sig-san’s most sensitive area, his wolf ear.
The two of us continued to talk while enjoying the beautiful scenery before us.
“In fact, I think I’m the lucky one. Everyone is so amazing. I can’t believe I get to marry the three of you…”
I still couldn’t believe I got to marry these three amazing men at the same time…
“Don’t say that kind of thing. We like you, Ren. You have a really low self-esteem, huh? Do you think it’s easy to find someone like you? Someone like you who’s adorable, beautiful, kind, strong and as a cherry on top, you’re so good at cooking too!”
Sig-san who had been laying his head on the side, watching the sunflower, immediately turned his head to look straight up into my eyes. I could feel my cheeks turning red when Sig-san hurled praise after praise at me. I couldn’t even hide my embarrassed face from him since Sig-san was looking up at me, there was nowhere for me to hide.
“Haha! Your face is blushing red, you know? Ah… Ren, you’re really adorable.”
“Geez! Stop staring at me!”
Sig-san laughed out loud as he teased me. He outstretched his long arms to tenderly caressed my head. I took his hand and brought it onto my lips, lightly kissed Sig-san’s palm.
“Ren?!”
“Fufu~ I’m just returning the favor back to you~”
Flustered, Sig-san yelled my name out loud. He must’ve been surprised. Fufu~ I guess the little prank I pulled on him was a success?~
“Haa… You’re so damn adorable… Ren, if you want to kiss, don’t kiss my palm but kiss my mouth instead will you?”
Sig-san said, his cheeks were still slightly tinted in rose colour.
“Eh… But it’s hard to kiss you on the lips in this position…”
Sig-san’s head was still firmly resting on my lap. I like Sig-san and there was no one else in here so I didn’t mind kissing him here but our current position made it difficult for me to kiss him.
“I would love to still keep using your lap as a pillow but there’s a demerit in this position too, huh… Okay! Up we go! There. Now there’s no problem left, right?”
“Whoa! Geez.. You startled me…”
Sig-san stood abruptly and then before I could say anything, he already wrapped his arms around me and maneuvered me so now I was sitting on top of his lap with my body facing him front to front. Although I was sitting on top of his legs, my etes still fell short on his chin because of the vast difference in our height.
“Come on, aren’t you going to kiss me?”
“Ah.. Yes… Mmnh..”
Encircling my arms around his neck, I pulled him down and fluttered my eyes close before I lightly kissed him on the lips. Our kiss only lasted for a moment. As I pulled my lips away, my vision was instantly greeted with the sight of Sig-san smiling happily. Looking at Sig-san’s elated face made me so happy too that I smiled back at him but then suddenly Sig-san clashed our lips together again and kissed me hard.
“Nnngh?! Fu-… Mmnnghh… Ahh…”
With his right hand holding onto the back of my head and his left hand wrapped snugly around my waist, my escape route was close to zero.
“Mmngh…! Mmmnnhh! Sig-san..!”
I tried to push Sig-san by the neck and when Sig-san realized what I was trying to do, he immediately released me from the kiss.
“Haah… Why did you push me away?”
Sig-san grumbled.
“Of course I did! We’re outside! I don’t mind if it’s just a light kiss but if you go that far, you won’t definitely let me return home!”
“And why won’t I return you home?”
Sig-san asked, his smirk was apparent and he even slid his hands from the back of my head to my left ear. Feeling the outline of the ear cuff with his calloused fingers.
Tha-that’s because…
“U-Uugh…”
“Hahaha! Forgive me, okay? I won’t do anything further than that in this kind of place. I don’t want to show Ren’s cute side to anyone else. Besides, we have to be back home by evening so I will definitely have to return you home.”
Knowing full well I couldn’t give him a straight answer, Sig-san laughed. He looked like he was enjoying himself to the fullest. He apologized to me and released my ear from his hold. I guess it was true that Sig-san had no plan to go any further than kisses.
“By evening? So by dinner time?”
“Yeah. The three of us talked and… We decided to have an innocent and wholesome date since this is our first date with you. Well I think the kisses just now should be okay though.”
They were talking about that?! And the first date? Then what about the second date….
“About dinner, let’s wait for those two to return back from their quest, yeah? Also, is Malik-san free tonight? Let’s invite Malik-san and have dinner together.”
“That’s right. I hope they’re not injured or anything…”
“I’m sure they’ll be fine. Those two are strong after all. I’m sure they’ll be happy to see Ren welcoming them back with a smile on your cute face.”
“Yes!”
If that’s the case then I will have to prepare a delicious dinner for the two of them since they must be tired from the quest.
“Ah, right. I’m going to leave for three days for the quest in two days from now. Be a good boy and wait for me, okay?”
“I see. I’m too old to be called a ‘good boy’ but I will be waiting and praying for your safety from here.”
Chris-san and Fer-san’s quest seemed do-able in one day but Sig-san’s quest would take about three days for Sig-san to complete it. I wouldn’t be able to see him for three days…I’ve never been apart from him for more than two days since the first time we met so I felt a little lonely knowing he’d be gone for three days…
“… Please be careful so you won’t get hurt and make sure you’ll come back home to us.”
Feeling a little anxious, while still straddling Sig-san’s lap, I hugged him tightly.
“Yeah. Who do you think I am? I’m the 【Silver Wolf】, remember? I’ll be back before you know it and hug you again just like this.”
Trying to reassure me, Sig-san whispered into my ear in a deep and calm voice while hugging me back. Feeling relieved by Sig-san’s warmth, I gave his cheeks a kiss this time.
After that, the two of us took a nap under the tree’s shade. Of course Sig-san came prepared, he covered us both in a thin blanket before laying down with me. We spent the rest of our date relaxing and walking around the sunflower field.
