“Whoa… So big! This must be a Japanese cypress bath, huh? Well… I don’t think they have actual Japanese cypress wood though…”
I left my change of clothes in the dressing room and briskly took my clothes off so I could get into the bath faster. When I opened my door, I was greeted with the sight of a spacious Japanese style cypress bath. My guess might be off but the smell of the wood really reminded me of Japanese cypress.
“Ah… If I don’t wash up soon, the three of them will come already.”
I didn’t have the time to dawdle around and admire the bath.
Flustered in panic, I sat on a nearby chair and took the soap provided by the inn. I lathered the small towel I had brought with me with plenty of soap and washed myself using it. No matter how many times I used [Clean], nothing beats the feeling of directly brushing yourself clean. After washing my body clean, I didn’t bother paying much attention to washing my hair. I only roughly scrubbed my head with the rest of the soap then I quickly rinsed myself from the soap and went for a soak in the bath.

I was sure more than 5 minutes had gone by while I was washing myself but I still didn’t see any sign of the three of them. Maybe Chris-san was just messing with me when he said they’d wait for 5 minutes…?

When I asked them, Sig-san answered my question and the three of them then sat down on the chair to wash their bodies.
“By the way, Ren-chan. Have you take a look outside?~”

“Yup. You see that door over there?~ You can go outside through it~ There’s also another bathtub over there~”

White steam was puffing up perpetually from the bath thanks to the hot water.
As the cherry on top, we were treated with an unobstructed view of the beautiful starry night sky since the inn was located on the outskirts of the city! There were so many stars in the sky, it was as if there would be a star shower any time soon. I could see the starry night sky during Calhea quest and on our way to Laserna but being able to relax in this beautiful hot spring accompanied by the glittering stars in the sky was…. Truly a luxury to experience!
“Ren, let’s quickly soak in the hot spring soon?”

Sig-san said to me as he led me to soak in the open-air bath. The previous indoor bath was nice and all but still, this open-air bath felt so much more relaxing.
