Chapter 488: Day MMII, Part I

The next day was strange. It started slowly, as I didn't really have anything to do, so I decided to find myself something to kill my time with. I had a bunch of stupid ideas, which ended with me setting up a workspace in my basement to focus on translating Bahumdabars' literature and also working on my own little story.
I bought a desk, a table, few chairs, a nice armchair, a big blackboard, and a large pinboard. I used the device to set everything up and then worked on segregating all the stuff I took from Loistavadvaar. I was about to finish when Hatta contacted me and asked me to show up in his office again.
I didn't go right away, instead finished the work, since thanks to my powers, I would be there faster than anybody else anyway.
Then I shadow walked to the city center and joined the rest, gathered in the basement of Wuxia's headquarters. The crew, with a small exception, was the same as on the previous day since both Boris and Nobuo were out, hunting.
This exception's name was Jayadeva. I had no idea why he didn't show himself at the previous meeting.
- Thank you for meeting with me today - started Bharat Kumar, as everybody gathered around the table. - Both India and the UN want to start a project together with you. For now, it's called the 'Magical healthcare project' and it involves a group of trained medical professionals, who would come here to acquire skills in healing magic. In exchange for special documents that would allow you to travel without a visa to the participating nations.
- I agree - I said before anybody else spoke, and few people immediately looked at me. - I like the idea. I didn't really care about the traveling.
- If Peter is in, I'm in - said Will.
- I also agree - said Hatta.
- I guess then there is no need to vote anymore - sadi Blue, throwing daggers with his eyes at me.
- There is also one more thing. The Indian government has been practically bombarded with requests from multiple people and TV stations from many countries to grant them authorization to shoot TV shows, documentaries, and other things here. I brought the list if you are interested.
Hatta looked at us, expecting somebody to say something.
- You realize that electronics can pass through the barrier? - said Will.
- The equipment to shoot can be bought here, and they can save their materials on DVD discs or something - said the agent.
- I can help them get their equipment past the barriers, but it will need to be checked first - I pointed out.
- Great - said Bharat.
I noticed that he didn't move his eyes from my for few seconds, clearly thinking about something.
- We will go through it, and then decide - said Aisha.
This finally brought the agent back to reality.
- I brought copies for everybody, just in case - said the agent, and went to the chair in front of Hatta's desk, where he left a bag
He pulled a bunch of papers from it and brought it to us. They ended up on the table.
- Contact me when you decide on something - he said, he packed his stuff and left.
- We could squeeze something from them - Blue pointed out, looking at me. - You shouldn't just agree, even if you like the idea.
- Oh come on, don't dwell on that. You don't have to always get something in exchange - was my response.
He just sighed and shook his head, knowing that he won't change my mind.
- Let's just check on those - I continued, grabbing a list provided by the agent from the table - and meet here tomorrow, to discuss this, ok?
I didn't wait for their response, and just shadow walked out of Hatta's office to the city center. I did it because I was tired of the discussion. For me politics was annoying. I wanted to do things, achieve goals, and not bargain with people.
I headed straight to the research facility, knowing that Tihana has a school there, and she could help me with looking through the list. It was also a good pretext to see miss Petel.
I just went said 'Hi' to the women working in the lobby and waited for the school to end in the waiting area. She asked me about the purpose of my visit, so I told her that I'm waiting for my kid. That was all we talked about.
I noticed that my presence was a little annoying for her, probably because she couldn't slack off somehow, and had to pretend she is working.
It took few hours for the lessons to end, and I used that time to write a bit in my notebook. I was close to finishing it and slowly had to prepare another one.
- What are you doing here? - suddenly asked Tihana, as she noticed me writing.
She must have just finished school. I noticed a backpack over her shoulder, and other people behind, leaving. There was a bunch of very lively xuzards among them.
- I'm waiting for you - I replied. - Do me a favor and ask Surdashana to come here. I want to share something with the two of you?
She opened her mouth in shock, and her eyes went wide.
- Are you gonna pull out a ring? - she asked.
- No? - Was my reply.
Her expression immediately changed. She shrugged her shoulders and left. She came back a few minutes later with miss Petel walking behind her.
- Can we know now what this is about? - asked Tihana.
- Yes - I said, and with a gesture suggested them to sit down, then I pulled out the list from my vault, and placed it on the table. - It's a list of TV shows and others that want to come here to film.
My fake daughter picked the list up and quickly scanned it.
- There are famous streamers here - she said.
- Streamers? - asked Sudarshana.
- They do live broadcasts of their lives or stream games. Talk with people, and stuff...
- Oh...
- If you would like some of them to visit, just let me know.
Tihana immediately took down the backpack, sat on the chair, and pulled out a pen, to circle around the stuff she was interested in.
- Can we talk? - asked miss Patel, as she wasn't clearly very interested in the list. - In private?
- Sure.. Let's maybe step outside.
