I went out of my room, and turned right, to go to the arena, just as the music got blasted through the speakers. There were few people on the corridor, with headsets on, and they stopped me for a second, to later give me a green light to finally enter.
I had to climb some stairs before I emerged between the protective walls, now covered by the cheering people. They keep changing, showing different locations all over the world.
In some places, people were crazy about in others openly against me.
- And now, ladies and gentlemen, please welcome the representatives of the gate located in India, the city of Arc! Team five! Peter! - was announced.
For a moment they increased the volume on the cheers, as I was heading a bit more to the center of the arena.
- The opponent of team seven will be a team from Brazil!
He kept talking, but I noticed on the hudge screens an audience from India, with Sudarshana and Tihana among the people. So I focused on that, and the voice suddenly became muffled..
- Fuck them up, dad! - my fake daughter kept yelling.
- Go, Peter! - chanted miss Petel.
The sudden quiet brought me back, as the music got turned off. Three people were standing on the other side of the arena. All in heavy plate armors, with shields, helmets, and different weapons. One person had a hammer, the other an ax, and the third a heavy mace.
They clearly were serious about this battle. as they started spreading around to surround me. It felt kinda bad, to just slap them around since they showed me so much respect already. Probably because they were informed what I can do.
I started moving towards the ax guy since he seemed to be the closest. He reacted by shifting his position, to put me at a better angle for his companions, which told me those three actually had to fight together before at least a dozen times.
Since my seal was on and losing it a bit would take some time, I had to actually deal with them without using super strength or speed. I didn't stop and closed the distance. He stroke me first, but rather cautiously, expecting to get hit back. I dodged it, just as the two others attacked me from behind. I shadow walked past the ax guy, so all they hit was the air. He immediately turned around,t trying to hit me with the shield, but I shadow walked again, this time targeting the mace owner.
I landed next to him and kicked him in the leg, and sent on one knee. The hammer guy was about to come to the rescue, but I used 'Telekinesis', to hit him, with the shield belonging to the mace guy. Then I shadow walked again to punch the ax owner. He blocked with the shield and attempted to hit me, but I used the moment and ripped the hammer from his friend's hand, to hit him in the head using' Telekinesis' again.
He stumbled forward, which was enough for me to rip the shield of his hands, and smack him with it, knocking down. Then I threw it away.
- Surrender guys. You don't have any chances - I told the remaining two.
- Never!- shouted the mace owner, as he managed to pick himself up.
I sighed, and summoned a 'Shadow champion' that tackled him, and took him down.
- You want to squeeze as much of my tricks from me as you can, for your other teams, do you? - I asked the former hammer owner, who now was weaponless.
He didn't answer, hiding behind his shield, and trying to circle around me. I Just blasted him in the air with psychic powers, and he landed heavily on his back. Then I did a little spin around while looking at the cameras, and drones flying in the air.
- This is done! - I shouted.
The crowds supporting me went crazy, and the ones against me were silent. The fighters had to realize I won't show any new tricks, as the two who could, gave up. I send the shadow back and moved to the knocked-down guy.
I turned him around, and used a heal on him, as I took the helmet down. He seemed alright. My actions still made the two others worried, as they rushed towards me, but they quickly realized that I'm helping, so nothing further happened.
We all returned to our separate bunkers, after exchanging nods, while I was being announced as the winner.
The music got blasted yet again, just as the cheers of crowds around the world going crazy. I rushed to return to my room but was stopped by Vikram, Boris, Will, and Nobuo. They all came to congratulate me and pat me on the back. It was cut short, as the broadcasting crew asked us to leave because we were blocking the corridor for the next team.
We returned to our rooms. Vikram went with me since there was no longer any reason to leave me alone because the fight was done.
- You wiped the floor with them! - he shouted as soon as I closed the door. - Just as you should!
- Calm down - I said to that, although a smile crawled on my face.
He really was pumped by this whole event, and finally was showing it up.
- We are going to smash this tournament! - he shouted again.
- Just go, and have a sit on the couch. Do you want something to drink, or eat? There is plenty of stuff here.
He did what I asked, and just as he said, he asked me a question.
- Would it be unprofessional if I were to drink a beer right now? I'm technically at work...
