In the end, Beru managed to avoid the swarm of teenage fanboys/fangirls and headed straight for the teacher's lounge.
It was during break time, hence the droves of hero nerd fans. But this also means that all of the teachers should be hanging around pretending to be busy and preparing for their next classes.
Beru opened the door to the lounge and quickly stepped in, closing it behind him almost instantly with a bang.
"What. The. Fuck?!" He asked to no one in particular as the teachers all looked at him weirdly, then they all seemed to get excited seeing him.
"Beru! It's great to see you all healthy and running around like that!" Snipe said as he approached the weirded out insectoid.
"Y-yeah~ Great to see everyone's safe too~ I would've thought that the falling rocks caused a lot more damage to the city too~"
"Well, there were many powerful heroes at the scene after all. Also, you did kill off the momentum of a lot of them when you intercepted the third meteor, that tornado you created did wonders in buying time for the heroes"
Snipe gave Beru a basic rundown of how the rescue operations went, coupled with the surprisingly small amount of casualties.
"Yeah, Yeah... That's nice and all... But Beru, are you truly alright?" Present Mic patted Snipe on the shoulder, interrupting him and asking a concern laced question.
"Yeah~ My right hand's fucked, so is my left leg~ But otherwise I'm all good~ At least I can't feel much pain in other places..." Beru's words did little to help the growing concern in the room.
Nemuri was currently not present, but she wouldn't have been all that happy to hear this new information.
"Y-You mean you were that seriously injured?" Cementoss asked with an odd tone, dropping his uncaring attitude as he realised that the situation might've been just that much more serious than the public and everyone else was led to believe.
"Yep~ I might as well cut my arm off at this point~ My leg is still good as a crutch though~ They aren't healing either, so I'm guessing they won't be healing anytime soon~" Beru just waved his hand dismissively.
Even though he hadn't gotten injured all that much in his current life, he was still used to being injured in his past life. He could still remember his human body in his previous life, riddled with bullet holes and knife scars.
He was very much used to recovering from serious damage. To him, the current situation wasn't that concerning either, since neither his leg nor arm was absolutely vital to his day-to-day activities.
The room was silent for quite a few seconds after that. The teachers processed the information that Beru had just given them.
"To think that even you could get injured to this extent..." Toshinori muttered while looking at the ground, seemingly deep in thought.
"Now, Now~ It's not like we'll be facing down meteors on the daily~ There's no actual threat that can cause this much damage to me besides that~ We're talking about something that hits harder than nukes here~" Beru waved off the blocky hero's concerns.
Beru could somewhat tell that everyone in the room was somewhat shaken up by his sudden reveal. It likely had a similar effect to when they had learned of All Might's injury when he had first started being treated by Recovery Girl.
But it was also a bit different. Toshinori had been injured by an exceedingly powerful villain, one that was an absolute threat to their society.
That same villain was basically a chew toy to Beru. The Ant King had killed that villain with ease and without even coming close to breaking a sweat.
Unknowingly to the teachers, as well as Toshinori himself, Beru was quite a few leagues above All Might when it came to strength.
To the point where he was actually untouchable in their eyes, just like All Might had been to the wider public for all these years. Even more, Beru was a dear friend to all of the staff members(with few exceptions).
"What's with all those mopy faces?" The door to the room had been opened, an action that the contemplating teachers/heroes had actually missed. In walked Nemuri with Nezu on her shoulder.
Nezu's voice started everyone in the room, breaking them out of their thoughts.
Nemuri instantly froze when seeing Beru just standing there with an arm under his chin and an antenna scratching his forehead.
"Oh, Beru! It's gre-" Nezu was cut off as Nemuri ran towards the insectoid, almost making him slip off as he jumped away from her shoulder and did a combat roll onto the ground with a large smile on his face.
Beru just heaved a sigh as Nemuri tackled him, even missing a leg to support himself on, she wasn't quite able to bring him to the ground. Though, it certainly looked like she tried.
She hugged onto home while shaking a bit.
"Y-you woke up..." The tears in her eyes were washing Beru's exoskeleton as she rubbed her cheek against his hard abdomen.
"Obviously~ It was a damn good sleep though~ Sorry for worrying everyone~" Beru patted his girlfriend's head as he apologized to everyone in the room, including her.
"A 'good sleep'? I should've known you were going to call it that..." Nezu sighed as he stepped over towards the Ant King.
"It's been an odd time for everyone. The doctors didn't even know if you were in critical condition or just tired." Nezu shrugged while speaking. Toshinori clutched his side as he looked at Beru with even more concern.
"Welp~ Not like they could cut into my body for an operation~ Welp, maybe Toga could now that I think about it~," Beru said as he wrapped his only working arm around Nemuri.
"... Possibly. We're just glad it didn't come to that... Besides, you've been already asleep for a few weeks, and they were certainly eventful. You have got a lot to catch up on, Mr 'Symbol of Peace'."
Toshinori spoke with an amused tone, his words somewhat startled Beru. The insectoid tilted his head a bit and asked.
"The fuck you talking about Toshi?~ I ain't the symbol of shit~ Don't remember accepting that position of yours~"
Toshinori suddenly started laughing when hearing Beru's response. Aizawa also released an unusually large smile when hearing Beru.
Nemuri also somewhat recovered, she was no longer crying, but she was still snuggling up to Beru. She also seemed a bit amused as she looked up at the insectoid.
"Well then, I guess since you're in the dark about it, we'll be the first ones to congratulate you on officially being made into the new 'Symbol of Peace'" Aizawa clapped his hands as he spoke out in a loud voice.

Beru turned his head towards the ground to his side. Where an incredibly amused Nezu was snickering to himself like a little rat.
"Nezu... I hope you have a good explanation for this... Otherwise, it's been a long time since I've had some good old rat skewers~"
Nezu just laughed off Beru's innocent threat.
"I'm glad to announce that your misfortune has little to do with me this time. It's all due to the scene you pulled off, saving everyone from those meteors skyrocketed your reputation to Symbol status in an instant, across the whole world."
Beru stared into space, his gaze empty as a thought rang through his mind.
'Well well well... If it isn't the consequences of my own actions...'
