It was the fourth day that Satvik and Aria were dwelling in the Etna Dungeon.

The duo had somewhat become used to the first floor and finally decided to tackle the floor boss.

Otherwise, they would have to wait for a couple of days as the weekend was almost around and then only Academy students were allowed in the dungeon.

[You don't have to be afraid, Bhaiya. We can easily handle the floor boss, without any problem.]

Aria spoke when she saw Satvik was finding it hard to decide whether he should buy more potions for their boss fight.

Satvik gave her a side stare and then sighed. They both have different opinions regarding the boss fight.

According to Aria, they could easily deal with the floor boss of the first floor which had an average level of 10.

Although it was huge compared to other monsters on the same floor, according to Aria, Satvik was alone enough to handle the floor boss.

On the other hand, Satvik wanted to play safe and make enough preparation and be prepared for the worst. He believed that, 'Overconfidence precedes carelessness.'

He has heard many stories, where overconfidence has led to the destruction of a person, kings, and even dictators.

{It doesn't hurt to make preparations for the worst.}

Satvik told her and finally purchased one more healing potion blowing away a huge chunk of their savings.

[It does when you're poor.]

Aria replied and started licking her paws.

Satvik glared at the brown-colored kitten. Aria's fur was covered with brown color to disguise her as a mountain cat which was a low leveled monster.

Courtesy of Heena, who had used a mix of different colors extracted from flowers.

This ensured that Aria can roam around freely without attracting any unwanted attention and hiding in plain sight.

{You'll see it, pussy cat. Don't cry when you're hurt.}

Satvik said while sticking his tongue out and making ugly faces at Aria.

[Sometimes I feel like you're the younger one between us, Bhaiya]

Aria said with a sigh.

                                    _______________________________

[Hahahahahahahahahaha.....!!!]

Aria was laughing while lying on her back and using her paws to hold her stomach.

In the corner of the room, Satvik was in a crouched position while he used a stick to poke the ground with a dejected expression.

The worst part was Aria's laugh which couldn't even be suppressed by covering his ear.

Sometimes telepathy was his biggest enemy.

Meanwhile, the reason for Aria's enjoyment, let's go a few moments back in time...

                   ---------------------------------

Aria and Satvik reached the spawn area of the floor boss only to find another party engaged in battling the boss.

                                 ________

[Race: Chief Poison Toad]

[Level: 11]

[Strength: 101]

[Attack: 94]

[Defense: 107]

[Agility: 99]

[Stamina: 98]

[Mana: 130]

[Skill: Venomous Tongue bash (Lvl-5), Hardened skin (Lvl-4), Poison Cloud (Lvl-2), Jump Bash (Lvl-4)]

                                   _______

Satvik used his Third-eye to examine the floor boss while the party which was facing a 3-meter giant toad was getting their asses handed over to them.

Their party consisted of six members and their soul healer was down for good due to poison, which was a very ironic situation.

It also ensured their failure, as without a healer and potion it was a very difficult boss to deal with. At least today Satvik and Aria would get a chance to deal with the monster and the money he spent won't be wasted.

Satvik finally came out of his concealment. He wanted to help these people even if that might later bite them in the ass.

But letting someone die while he could have helped, would definitely give him many sleepless nights.

Their members were falling one by one and their leader's gaze fell on Satvik's hooded figure and he yelled, "You're here to fight this thing, Right?"

Satvik only nodded in response.

The leader nodded and said, "Fine! you can fight him but please, help us retreat! Otherwise, my party members will die here."

Satvik nodded and then looked at Aria who also rushed forward with him. Then Aria roared and now, the floor boss's focus was solely on Aria.

The other party used this opportunity and retreated like chickens.

The giant was using its tongue to attack Aria but she was quite nimble on her feet and dodged all attacks with ease.

When Satvik saw that the other party was gone, he removed his cloak and took his battle stance with Katar tightly gripped in his right hand.

{Aria! Stay alert and dodge all of its poison attacks}

He told her telepathically. He had already told her the monster's skill set and had come up with a crude plan after observing the two parties battle.

One of them easily won while the other got owned by the monster.

He used information he gathered in the two battles and learned from the mistakes.

The party that he helped ran away because they didn't have any fire or water mages, which were quite effective in dealing with enemies with poisonous attributes.

While Aria had all the attention of the monster, Satvik used his concealment and moved under the monster.

He had already coated his entire body with fire Aura and kicked the soft underbelly of the monster while he used his go-to aura combo, fire and earth.

"Ghhhhh...!"

The monster roared in pain. Satvik had expected some resistance but his leg went into the monster's belly like a hot knife through butter, drenching Satvik's body with innards and blood.

"Huh?"

Savik muttered in confusion when he observed that the monster had become still and was about to fall over him, so he stepped backward.

{You've gained 657 XP}

{You've Levelled Up}

"Only one kick?" muttered Satvik in disbelief as he looked at the notification that popped into his vision declaring his win.

[Hahahaha! See I told you, Bhaiya. You were quite stupid for spending the money on the potion.]

Aria came next to him and started laughing.

Satvik crouched down and held his face in shame. He had spent most of the savings of the past days on buying health and anti-venom potion for this.

Satvik ignored Aria and started processing the monster's corpse for materials.

                       ---------------------------------

When Satvik and Aria came out from the dungeon, they were surrounded by adventurers and soldiers who were guarding the dungeon entrance.

Satvik's face was covered as usual and this made others more curious.

Then a person from the group loudly questioned while looking at an adventurer in his late twenties, "These two took your kill? Are you kidding me, Lyer?"

Now everyone's gaze shifted from Satvik to this adventurer. When Satvik saw that man he instantly recognized him. He was the leader of the party he had saved a few moments ago.

Lyer panicked and said, "My party was able to bring the monster to its knees while taking critical damage. Only I was able to move and was about to deliver the last blow but he came out of his hiding."

"Then he put a knife next to one of my party members demanding to let him have the monster or he'll kill him."

When everyone heard his explanation, most of them were unconvinced but if one was given to choose between a person they know and a person whose identity was shrouded in mystery, everyone will choose the prior one.

Satvik frowned after hearing Lyer's story. Although this situation wasn't something unexpected and he had already prepared for this. But he didn't expect it to happen this quickly.

'I hope he at least saved his party members and took them to healers or something,' thought Satvik while rubbing his forehead.

Then from within the crowd a formally dressed man appeared. He was wearing a three-piece suit with a monogram Satvik knew very well.

He bowed to Satvik and said, "Adventurer! you're a member of our esteemed Medini Adventurers guild. I'm here to help you with the allegations. You can give your side of the story and help us in the investigation and until then no one is going to brand you as a criminal, on mere allegations."

Many adventurers frowned and a burly-looking man yelled, "This is not your Guild building. We are still on the land marked as a dungeon, your guild has no authority over here."

Many people present in the crowd were from Medini Guild's rival counterparts and no one liked their rival showing their influence of power in their faces.

Hence the appearance of the guild representative from Medini Guild pissed them off.

The representative ignored the comment and looked at Lyer and said, "Mr. Lyer and Mr. Ansimp are members of our respected guild. So, it is our job to decide what is true and what is not."

Satvik dropped his huge bag on the ground with a loud thump. It was making his shoulder stiff due to the heavy monster materials that were inside.

Everyone's focus was on Satvik again while he rummaged through his pocket and took a crystal ball.

He then tossed it at the guild representative, who caught it in panic. The representative looked at Crystal ball and then again looked at Satvik with a questioning gaze.

"That's the proof of my innocence," Satvik said.
