Heena woke up a little late in the morning compared to her other mornings.
After a long time, she had slept like a dead log.

She didn't have to worry about Sneha's empty stomach or Satvik's morning wood.

She stretched her body on the while thinking, "Maybe, this was a good idea."

She made her bed and after changing her clothes, she walked towards Satvik's room.

She was about to knock on the door in order to wake up the sleepy heads but she couldn't do it and stopped midway.

But what happened next gave her a surprise of a lifetime.

"That hurts a lot, Bhaiya!"

Heena heard her daughter's painful cries from the other side of the door.

"This pain is temporary. Just stretch it a little more

and you'll be fine," Satvik spoke loudly in order to calm down Sneha.

"Don't you trust your bhaiya?" he questioned.

Heena's eyes opened wide and her face was now as pale as a ghost's.

Myriads of thoughts came to her mind and none of them were good.

Without any delay, she pushed the door open and yelled, "No! No! No! She's too young for that, my lord. You can do whatever you want to do to meee...."

When Heena looked inside the room, she saw that Sneha was performing some stretching exercises while Satvik was assisting her.

Satvik stopped in between and then glared in Heena's direction with a frown.

Heena's gaze started wavering and then in a panic, she said, "Good morning, Young Lord! He he he!"

                            ------------------------

Satvik was sitting on the breakfast table with the mother and daughter pair and glaring at Heena, who was intentionally avoiding his gaze.

A few moments ago she had misunderstood what was going on in Satvik's bedroom and Satvik wasn't one bit happy with her thought process.

"What's wrong bhaiya, are you not hungry?" asked Sneha while looking at him.

Satvik shook his head and started eating the food in front of him, with a blank expression.

Sneha was watching him and then after a brief moment muttered, "Bhaiya?"

Satvik hummed, "Hmm?"

After gaining his attention L, Sneha questioned, "Bhaiy, who's Kavita?"

"You kept muttering her name in the morning, while you were in deep sleep."

Satvik's hand which was holding the spoon stopped over the bowl after hearing Sneha's question.

He kept staring at the bowl with an unfocused gaze and after a while muttered, "She was someone very close to me."

Sneha nodded and then questioned, "Where is she now?"

A self-mocking smile adorned his face as he muttered, "Far away!"

"Huh?" muttered Sneha in confusion.

Then Heena muttered, "Finish your breakfast, Sneha."

"We need to finish tilling the garden today. You still remember, don't you?"

Sneha nodded and started chomping on the food in front of her.

Meanwhile, Heena's gaze was fixed on Satvik's face.

A painful smile was all that she could see on his face.

This was not the first time she had heard the name, Kavita.

Satvik has mumbled the same name while sleeping with her many times, mostly while he was having nightmares.

She herself had asked the question similar to her daughter. But after looking at his pain-filled expression she chose not to push him further and told him that he doesn't have to answer.

If he didn't want to talk about this person, something bad would have happened.

At least that is what she deduced from her experience so far.

"Oo I mmbmmm mmhmmdf mmfmf mdmmmm!" Sneha mumbled.

Heena looked at her daughter while rubbing her forehead and muttered, "How many times have I told you not to talk with food still in your mouth, Sneha!"

*Gulp!*

Sneha hurriedly gulped the food that was still in her mouth and said, "I had a dream last night, Bhaiya!"

Satvik's facial expression turned normal and with a smile, he said, "Oh you did? Good for you!"

A gentle smile appeared on Heena's face as she questions her daughter, "So, anything nice you want to tell us about your dream?"

Sneha nodded and said, "In the dream, I met a young kid of my age."

"Hahaha! That's very nice," said Heena while giggling and continued, "So what did you do with this young kid?"

Sneha nodded and said, "We mostly talked about this and that."

"And, he told me I should not be afraid of ghosts anymore," Sneha said.

"Hahaha! Even the other kid knows, what a scaredy cat you are, huh?" Heena said while poking fun at her daughter.

Even though they had extra room, Sneha would always sleep with her.

When she was asked for the reason, she would complain that there was a ghost in her room.

Ever since Satvik's arrival, Heena had to sleep in Sneha's room.

Though she never saw the ghost as her daughter claimed yet she would be uneasy sometimes and feel someone's presence.

"See, even the kid knows you should not fear ghosts!" exclaimed Satvik while ruffling Sneha's hair.

Sneha puffed her cheeks and then muttered, "Ahh! I forgot to tell you but he looked like a monkey."

Satvik's eyes turned wide and he questioned her, "Did you say anything more?"

"He told me that he would protect me from ghosts, so I have nothing to fear. I just have to believe in him," she told him with an excited smile.

A gentle smile appeared on Satvik's face as he muttered, "Then he definitely will protect you from now on!"

"You just have to believe him!"

                    ---------------------------------

Satvik left the ladies at the home and went out alone for a little while.

His main purpose was to gather information on Baimum Theocracy and what they have been doing these days.

He was walking in the flea market which was organized every weekend, where the merchants from nearby cities usually came to sell their ware to rich-stupid students at higher prices.

After roaming around for an hour or two he had all the necessary information he needed regarding the movements of Theocracy.

"So, they are targeting territories of demigods these days. Seems like they are planning to eliminate all the competition," he muttered to himself while deep in thought.

Each of the existing monsters and sentient beings was ruled over by a demigod or demigods of their respective race, just like the case of arachnids have Nisha and who can forget about the peafowl demigoddess Mayuri?

His only concern was the safety of his allied demigods.

They had to do some heavy carrying when the time was right.

He was heavily relying on their strength in the future and it had nothing to do with the fact that both were breath-taking beauties and one of them being his first crush in this world.

While walking aimlessly lost in his thoughts, Satvik ended up in the red light area of the city.

He became the focal point for many ladies who wished to accompany men for the night.

A woman in her mind twenties approached Satvik intending to offer her services for the night.

When Satvik bumped into her, his train of thought came to a sudden halt and after declining her humble offer he started heading back.

While he was walking, a hand grabbed his left shoulder.

A frown appeared on his face and he took out a small knife that he had concealed in his right forearm.

Then he turned around to deal with the person responsible for stopping him.

But when his gaze landed on the person behind him he was baffled.

"You?" he yelled with wide eyes.
