In the living room, Ye Qian sighed and shook his head understanding why his mother won't believe he could even cook something which was worth eating.
He had not been even able to make instant noodles a few years ago and now that he said he could cook of course his mother won't believe him.
"Mom, Qian'er really makes nice food we have been eating the dinner he made for a few days now."
Yuan Meng said while she walked to Ye Qian's side and took his hand in hers.
"Ohh."
Grandma Yan's brows raised and she turned to Niing Wei who also gave a nod at her.
"So this means that despite you being here, he is the one cooking?"

"Umm, Mom, Mengmeng was tired and she did help me yesterday with chopping and washing dished so it was not that I did everything and even Wei helped yesterday and in the morning."
Noticing that the situation was taking turn for the worst ye Qian tried to mend it.
To the people of towns and villages, it was a bit inferior for men to help their wives in cooking and was likely thought like the wife was not efficient enough and blamed them.
But to his shock, Grandma Yan's eyes turned crescent and she caressed Yuan Meng's face.
"Oh dear, you have finally learned the way of our family tradition."
Ye Qian and Ning Wei started at Grandma Yan with wide eyes not understanding anything that she said.
"As you know I have always controlled your father in law in my hands or he might have slipped off many a time and my mother in law also did the same, you see the men of the Ye's are too much of idiots, so it's necessary for us the ladies of the house take the reins in our hands and not let then run astray."
"This was the same as her mother in law and further, so it's good that you have Little Qi under control."
Though Grandma Yan said all this while she whispered both Ye Qian and Ning Wei's faces were bleak.

She really wanted to laugh out aloud but then thought otherwise.
"Yes Mom, don't worry I will handle things properly and won't let Qian'er astray."

"Yes, that's my daughter."
Grandma Yan patted her head and then turned to Ning Wei and continued.
"Come let's make a feast for everyone since all the family women are here."
She said and took Yuan Meng and Ning Wei's hands and walked in with a delightful smile on her lips.
No one knew what she was thinking in her mind as she walked into the kitchen while holding Yuan Meng and Ning Wei's hands.
"Sigh"
Meanwhile, behind them, Ye Qian stood still for a few seconds before sighing and followed them.

In the kitchen, the atmosphere was quite boisterous.
The ladies entered and discussed what to do and what not to.
Soon the ladies started to wash the vegetables after taking them out of the fridge and continued to check the vegetables and started to chop them.
Behind then Ye Qian also followed and soon the dinner was decided to be the same of fried rice but this time with chicken, some pepper fry chicken, Sichuan noodles with the same soup which they made yesterday with some more meat.
But soon they found out that the basic things were not in the house.
"Umm, let me go and bring some meat and other things from the market really quick, till then get the vegetables ready and cook the rice, and make the noodles."
Ye Qian was the one who noticed that he had not gone to market today so he said everything and walked out of the kitchen.
"Bye Qian'er come back soon."
Yuan Meng waved her hand seeing him leave.
Ning Wei also waved her hand at him but didn't know if she should call him or not, and even if she did what should she call him.
"Hey Little Qi, don't be in a rush or the shopkeeper will fool you."
But Grandma Yan's word made the ladies laugh out aloud.
Ye Qian waved at the two with a smile and nodded at Grandma Yan as he walked out of the kitchen.
"Mom, you don't need to say these things to him, he knows everything well now."
Seeing Ye Qian walked out the ladies sat on the chair and continued to talk while doing their things.
"Hehe, don't you think I don't know, about you three, tell me what were you guys doing in the room, I heard some moans?"

Grandma Yan's question the two's face flushed and they had their heads low, not daring to show this embarrassing thing to Grandma Yan.
"Haha you, young girls, you can't hide it from this old lady here, though I am old, my ears are still working well enough to hear what's happening in the next doors."
Grandma Yan quaffed seeing the two had their faces burning red and chuckled loudly.
There was a smug on her face while she saw the two not daring to lift their heads up.
"Mom, don't think like that, Qian'er was massaging us, and we feel really better now, it's just that the muscles were taught and Qian'er was worried that we might have some problems later so he messaged us."
Yuan Meng said with her face flushed, she stuttered while she continued to say, it was really embarrassing to say all this to her mother in law.
