Chapter 279: Don't Want The Dragon To Wake Again

In the kitchen, a tear dripped down the corner of Ning Wei's eyes as she nodded at Ye Qian.
The person whom she had met just a couple of days ago and whom she didn't know much about was now having an immovable place in her heart.
She also didn't know whether she truly liked Ye Qian or this was just an attraction she felt for him since he was just like a husband which she had imagined when she was in her teens.
A simple man who would care for her and her child while still wanting to give them all the time they needed and completely understanding her.
This was what every girl would think of for the qualities in a man whom they would want to marry.
And though she had married she didn't know if she was ever able to recognize all those things in the person whom she married at that time and now that she was suddenly given so much care and love she suddenly remembered these simple wishes of her.
"SNIFF"
"Why do you two always cry so much?"
Ye Qian sighed and carefully wiped her tears off her cheeks and gently caressed her cheeks.
Though he had told her that he would never be able to give her what she wanted from him, he could still not help but feel concerned for her after seeing her teary face.
"Ahuu ahuu."
Ning Wei shook her head and glanced at him with a little anger.
She was feeling so much touched before and here he was teasing her.
How could she not feel bad when she was given a cold shoulder?
She just wanted to get up and hit on Ye Qian's head a few times and then go to Grandma Yan to complain about him.
But knowing that hitting him would only make her hurt, Ning Wei rejected the idea and cried loudly.
"Huh?"
Yuan Meng and Xiao Ya's attention was brought to them after hearing Ning Wei's crying sound.
"Qian'er, what did you do?"
Yuan Meng asked in worry, she had heard of all the things though there was the sound of water splashing, she didn't feel that anything would make Ning Wei cry.
And here she was crying loudly now.
"Ahhh, I... I just wanted to stop her from crying but then she started to cry even more."
Ye Qian stuttered while still thinking as to what to say, he didn't say anything that would make her feel bad and wanted to make her smile but he didn't know why but she started to cry again after smiling for a moment.
Meanwhile, as he said this to Yuan Meng, behind him Ning Wei's lips pouted as she looked at Ye Qian with a displeased look.
"Pahh"
Yuan Meng pace palmed herself and shook her head not knowing whether to laugh or cry.
"Sister Wei, don't cry or you will feel more pain."
Yuan Meng walked to Ning Wei and lightly patted her shoulder.
Ye Qian was completely unaware of how he was about to fall in a disaster sat on the chair completely clueless as he tried to say something to Ning Wei.
"I... I.."
He was cut off right in the middle when Ning Wei stood up and then walked out with much effort but still having a hard time walking steadily.
"Wait let me help you."
Ye Qian quickly rushed seeing that she was not even able to walk properly and felt bad for making her cry although he still didn't know what he had done wrong though.
Ning Wei's legs stopped as she held onto the desk, she was still a bit angry at him but hearing his voice she could feel the worry in his voice and wanted him to help her.
But since she still wanted him to know that she was still angry, she didn't turn around at him and only stopped.
This pain had suddenly started to grow and this was still her first day and though she had the simple juice which Ye Qian gave her she still felt that this time this pain was getting more bad than what she would normally need to go through.
"Argh."
She was about to groan in pain when she felt a hand placed on her shoulder and a warm current filled her body making the pain lessen.
"Haah."
She sighed in relief but still didn't look at Ye Qian as she turned her head sideways while acting like she was still angry at him.
But in her heart, she could not be much happier.
This was the first time a man cared for her so much.
While she thought such a blurry figure of a man appeared right in front of her eyes and she sighed in her heart as she compared it to Ye Qian.
'They can never be compared.'
She thought and held onto Ye Qian's hand as he extended it to her and stepped forward carefully.
"Walk carefully there is no need to rush."
Ye Qian gently held onto her hand and used his other one to hold her father arm as to support her from both sides.
"You don't need to tell me."
"Humph."
Ning Wei harrumphed and then pouted as she took slow steps just as Ye Qian had told her to.
Though she wanted to show that she was angry with him, she would still do what he had told her to.
She also didn't know why but with this man around she felt a sense of contempt as a feeling of having him made her heart filled with joy and different energy.
To her no matter what others would think of her, she would still be able to rely on the man beside her, holding her hand.
"Hmm."
Ye Qian smiled wryly completely being defeated and not willing to say anything more since not wanting to wake up a sleeping dragon again only to suffer its wrath.
