Chapter 291: Emerald Sternum

Unless one was able to use the surrounding Spiritual Energy by themselves, the energy around them would only help them to get rid of any injuries and fatigues in the body, and though their body would still be stronger than any usual human and would have a lot of energy stored in them.
It would still be useless unless they were to cultivate on their own by directing the Spiritual Energy throughout their body and strengthening their organs and quenching them in the energy thus making it stronger.
Though her body would have a lot of energy, Yuan Meng would still find it hard to deal with some thugs unless she were to start cultivating.
That was the same as if she was to face some men, though she would be able to make them black and blue, with no way to control the energy in her she might injure herself in the situation as she didn't know how to direct the energy which she might use subconsciously in her movements.
Ye Qian lightly held her hand and warmness gushed into her freezing cold hand.
By holding the ice bag for more than 10 or so minutes without any break, her hands had turned blue due to the cold and though this would not make her suffer, seeing her soft hands were almost frozen which made them numb, Ye Qian felt bad for her.

Yuan Meng mumbled with her eyes closed and a sweet smile and snuggled in his embrace.
With that, she continued to rest for some time with her head on her beloved's lap and a serene smile on her face.
She would say all that was making her sad for so long to her love and no matter if he was able to help her out or not, she would still be happy with any outcome, no matter what it would be in the future, as he was able to feel her even without telling him anything and that was how important she was for him.
And though her heart ached with the thought of leaving him alone with her child, she still felt a sense of completeness in her heart.
As if there was nothing that held her now.
With that, she started to ardently wait for tonight.
Meanwhile, Ye Qian continued to use his Spirit Perception on Yuan Meng, thoroughly checking her every organ and injury.
On the day he scanned her in a haste and was unable to see most of her hidden injuries.
But now almost there were none of them and those that existed were barely of any concern to her health and would be cured in just a matter of days.
Most of them were due to work and stress which she dealt with by taking care of everything all by herself.
Ye Qian let go of scanning her body and concentrated his Spiritual Energy right on the centre of her chest.
With Ye Qian's Spiritual Vision, he could feel the small gem-like thing stuck to the sternum bone of her chest.
When looked carefully he noticed that it was not that it was a gem that was stuck to the Sternum bone but the whole Sternum Bone was made of that Gem like material.
It was the same colour as that of an Emerald and looked like it was a large bone made of Emerald Stone.
But the only difference was that there was a hollow space in it and a different kind of material seemed to be flowing within the Emerald Sternum Bone.
The material would move to and fro from the two sides of the bone making anyone who looked at it think of it as if it was alive.
Ye Qian carefully observed the Sternum and mumbled in his heart.
'If Mengmeng is worried about this then I think her worry is completely fine since it is indeed a worrisome thing.'
Ye Qian nodded and opened his eyes and looked at the serene smile on Yuan Meng's lips.
There was a feeling of content and a sense of being deeply loved and read and also as if she would be soon missing all of it.
Ye Qian gently extended his hand and placed it on her forehead.
A warm current entered in her and her expressions eased to that of a serene smile again.
Ye Qian also closed his eyes and sat there while meditating and trying to find a way to counter this problem that Yuan Meng would be facing in a few weeks or even months.
That was because the thing in Yuan Meng's Sternum was a part of her and unless she was able to utilize it into her body she might go into a comatose state and would never be able to wake up unless he were to use a certain method which he wasn't completely sure of whether it would even work or not.
And so Yuan Meng slept for some time in her Qian'er's embrace with calm and soothing sensation filling her heart and soul.
She was more than content for being able to meet him before her time was to end and was happy that at last, her daughter would not have a life like what she had even though her father was alive and that was also the reason why she chose to be with Ye Qian when she would have been able to have a much more happy life if she had married some other young masters which were courting her when she was in her University.

After half an hour or so of peaceful sleep in her beloved's embrace made her fill with new energy filling her heart and soul.
Everything around her seemed to have a different aspect to it not that she was willing to say what she was hiding all this while in her heart.

The moment she woke up she planted a kiss on Ye Qian's cheeks making him open his eyes.
