Chapter 427: A Mouse Lurking Around!

The driver didn't say a word and nor did he ask anything about the destination.

But he was sure that the men from before were surely not here to harm his family.

Ye Qian and the ladies stayed silent while Ning Wei had started yawning as well.
Of all of them in the taxi, she could be considered the weakest.

Ye Qian had scanned the taxi with his Spirit Sense and had found a pistol in the man's jacket while there were also several really sharp knives which were placed carefully on his limbs.
He could be considered completely armed and was completely vigilant of his surroundings.

The taxi stopped right in front of their house where Grandma Yan and others were waiting for them by the gate.
Ye Qian walked out while opening the door for Ning Wei since she was sitting by the right side of the road.
Though it was a really empty road and there were little to no vehicles at this time the door on the other side was still hard to open due to the different mechanism.
"It's good that you came as soon as we stopped, or we could have been frozen."

Grandma Yan joked while opening the gate and walking into the house.
The taxi driver also left without saying a thing which the ladies also got to Aunt Qin and Uncle Fu who were waiting for them.
The two little girls also followed Grandma Yan after grinning at Ye Qian and waving their hands at them.
Aunt Qin nodded at Yuan Meng while walking into the gate followed by Ning Wei and Xiao Ya.
Behind them, Ye Qian was also walking slowly with a worry less face when his eyes suddenly narrowed as he glanced at the left corner of their compound.
Ning Wei had kept the door open for Ye Qian since he was about to enter but she noticed that Ye Qian still stood a couple of feet away from the door but was not walking into the house.
"Is there some problem?"
She asked while trying to stop her eyes from falling.
She was feeling really drowsy now, if she were to fall on the bed right now then she would sleep within a minute or two for sure.
Yuan Meng also turned around hearing Ning Wei's words and glanced at Ye Qian who was staring at the compound of their house.
She glanced at it as well and not finding anything different was about to ask Ye Qian when he turned to them and continued with a grim smile on his lips.
"Mengmeng, I will come in a few minutes, you two should sleep if you feel drowsy if I don't get back before that."
Noticing the drowsy look on Ning Wei's face Ye Qian smiled lightly.
"Huh?"
Ning Wei's eyes widened a bit as she stared at Ye Qian.
She didn't know what to say.
Yesterday as well Ye Qian had gone away saying that he would come soon but he came back after about an hour.
She was worried that today as well something like this would happen and he would come back late.
