Shin’ō Academy… the academy that raised so many talented Shinigamis. Almost all of the current Gotei 13 graduated from this academy.

Muyang had mixed feelings when he returned to this step foot into this place again. His school life was so fleeting because he was too talented for his own good. Graduating in less than a year, of course he barely got to know any classmate, and now he didn’t even know any familiar face in Gotei 13 aside from the usual gang he hung out with.

Well, it wasn’t like he didn’t have any friends whatsoever as Aranmaru Shishin’s face popped up in his mind.

However, that guy was now standing in a classroom, teaching the class even though Muyang believed Aranmaru Shishin could become a skilled Shinigami in the future with his talent.

Seeing Aranmaru Shishin’s genuine smile, Muyang sighed helplessly. He knew that it wouldn’t be easy to persuade Aranmaru Shishin to return to Gotei 13 because Captain Kuruyashiki’s death was clearly too hard for him to accept.

He just couldn’t bring himself to bring this up when he saw Aranmaru Shishin seemed to be enjoying his time teaching the students. Now that he could finally mend the wound in his heart, there was no need to bring up such a topic.

“Dīng líng líng ~~~”

As the bell rang, Muyang noticed that Aranmaru Shishin hasn’t dismissed the class and still talked to his students, but he couldn’t hear a word as he was too far.

Muyang still remembered when Aranmaru Shishin often complained about their teacher that kept nagging, but how the tables have turned! Now Aranmaru Shishin has become that annoying teacher himself.

“Look, there’s a Shinigami!”

“You’re right! Why does he come all the way here?”

Muyang wasn’t bothered at all, even when the students talked about him as they came out of the classroom. He didn’t care that much about some strangers, even when he was still a student in this school a few years ago.

Since the students have left the classroom, he decided to come in. Although he just wanted to take a quick look at his former academy on his way back to the headquarter, he figured that might as well come in. Otherwise, Aranmaru Shishin might give him an earful later.

“You are…Kimura Muyang!”

Muyang seemed a bit troubled when he saw the girl in front of him blushing. She did seem familiar, but Muyang couldn’t say he was leased being stopped in the middle of his business like this.

Noticing Muyang didn’t seem too pleased, the girl waved her hand frantically and said, “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to stop you.”

Noticing the person in front of him felt bad for stopping him, Muyang felt a little sorry. He looked at the girl intently for a moment and then said hesitantly: “Suzuki Kusu?”

The girl named Suzuki Kusu immediately raised her head and looked at Muyang with her big round eyes the moment Muyang mentioned her name and said, “You still remember me!”

Muyang felt bad for the girl because she almost shed tears just because he remembered her name. Those who didn’t know might think that Muyang was bullying this girl.

“Of course, we used to be classmates after all.” Muyang felt weird when he said the word “classmate.” He didn’t even remember in which class did he meet this girl. He only remembered her name because she was timid and cute.

Muyang noticed from a glance that she was wearing a red uniform, meaning she has not graduated yet.

“I am still a 5th Grade Student, and it will take more than a year before I graduate. I’m not as talented as Kimura-san, after all.” Suzuki seemed to notice Muyang’s gaze and immediately looked away with a flushed face, which was really cute.

“Uh…N… No, I still have a lot to learn.” Even Muyang was a little taken aback when this girl complimented him.

Muyang was surprised because this girl noticed his gaze.

""

“Kimura, what are you doing just standing by the door? Why don’t you come in?”

When Aranmaru Shishin saw Muyang and Suzuki Kusu were standing opposite the door, he immediately grinned and teased Muyang: “ah, so that’s how it is! It’s alright, just take your time. It’s not like I’m in a hurry anyway.”

Muyang saw Suzuki Kusu blushed even more after Aranmaru Shishin teased him

“Kimura-san, I…If you’ll excuse me, goodbye!” Suzuki Kusu immediately ran off after concluded her farewell in a hurry.

Muyang just turned around and sighed as he stared frustratedly at Aranmaru Shishin, who was standing by the door with a smirk on his face and said: “See that? That’s on you.”

“Are you angry because I got in your way?” Aranmaru Shishin raised his eyebrows with a smug on his face. “Wait a minute, so you come to the academy to hit on our students? You animal!”

“As if!” Muyang was at a loss for words because Aranmaru Shishin was way off, “She was my former classmate, you know?”

“Classmate!?” Aranmaru Shishin didn’t buy Muyang’s answer. It couldn’t be helped as Muyang was a Lieutenant and the girl he claimed to be his classmates was still in the 5th Grade!

“Yeah, right!” The two of them walked back to Aranmaru Shishin’s classroom while exchanging banter. As soon as Muyang entered the classroom, he saw there was a student left.

“I thought the class is over. Who is this kid?” Muyang demanded an answer from Aranmaru Shishin when he saw there was a student who hasn’t left the classroom.

Muyang noticed that this student was sort of familiar. His hair was yellow, with a perpetually bored expression on his face. He seemed foppish and had a disinterested air around him. Muyang was wondering what the relationship between these two was.

“Ōtoribashi Rōjūrō, this is my student.” Aranmaru Shishin said as he patted the young man’s shoulder, “Although he’s just a 1st Grade Student who has just enrolled in the academy recently, he is very talented.” Then, after glancing briefly at Muyang, Aranmaru Shishin added: “Of course, he’s not as talented as you.”

Only after hearing the young man’s name was Muyang convinced. No wonder this young man seemed kind of familiar! Muyang was wondering why he was not with the other Visored, and it turned out that he was still a 1st Grade Student!

“Yeah, I also think this kid is quite promising,” Muyang said as he looked at the blonde youngster in front of him.

“Really?” Aranmaru Shishin looked at Muyang suspiciously. “You don’t know him, nor have you seen what he’s capable of. How do you know he is a genius? Your words carry no weight here.”

“Believe it or not, it’s intuition.”

“Like hell!”

It couldn’t be helped if Aranmarsu Shishin didn’t believe him, but whatever he said, this young man would become a Captain in the future!

Muyang straight out ignored Aranmaru Shishin and patted Ōtoribashi Rōjūrō’s shoulder: “Believe in yourself! Do your best, and you’ll definitely achieve great things in the future!”
