Chapter 8: Venturing To The Syringe Waste Site

Erian took a deep breath and his eyes radiated a cold look. A cool stream of energy flowed into his arms and chest, soothing his injuries and healing them.
"You talk too much."
Blake got so angry he actually laughed coldly. "Fine, I will like to see how long you will last."
Saying this, his body flickered and he moved in an unpredictable pattern, his arm moving forwards and he punched heavily towards Erian's chest.
One of the movements from the 49 Ancient Paths Of Physique Tempering technique flashed in his mind without thinking about it. Erian had performed the movement.
His body leaned forwards like a log and just as the fist was about to hit his chest, Erian's posture twisted weirdly and his momentum changed!
In the blink of an eye, he had slipped past Blake's defences like a rattlesnake, appearing behind him.

Erian seem to have gone crazy. His fist smashing against Blake's exposed back like a tsunami.

Erian smashed his fist at him multiple times crazily without stopping. He was hit in return by Blake's elbow, which made his chest hurt.
Blake stumbled forwards out of control, breathing heavily in panic. His previous attack only caused a minor injury to Erian, but the boy seem to have gone crazy and struck him like a madman. What technique did he use to slip past him anyways?

Not able to hold out any more, Blake vomited blood and lost control of his body.
His eyes were full of disbelief. How was it possible?

His head was smashed roughly against the ground. The two gang members were stunned. Second leader Blake had been defeated just like that? They couldn't believe it!
It wasn't until Blake's body was full of blood and unconscious that Erian was satisfied. Raising his head, the crowd were looking at him in shock. The scene before them was just too bloody and unbelievable. Erian the useless level two was able to beat the level seven gang leader Blake. It was just too unreal.
Erian's eyes glanced toward the two subordinates who immediately retreated in fear. Seeing the crowds that had gathered, he knew he had to leave before the security guards arrive. In as much as he wanted to bash the heads of the two lackeys, Erian proceeded to leave.
Grabbing his box from the ground, he disappeared amidst the crowd.
"When did Erian become so fierce?" Someone gulped, whispering which broke instantly broke the silence as the crowds discussed excitedly with each other.

At a store a kilometre away from the scene, a young man stood before the large store, his eyes resting on the large signboard at the store.
"Metasale Store." The name rolled off the young man's lips and he shook his head before eventually entering the store.
The young man was Erian. He walked toward the old man behind the counter.
The old man appeared to be fixing some mechanism on his table. He gave a glance toward Erian and then proceeded to ignore him. In his eyes, not much profit would be gained from dealing with someone like him.
Erian smiled and then brought out a syringe from his pocket. "Old Jon, I brought good stuff this time. I promise."
The old man steady hands stopped and he glanced at the dark-yellowish serum with one eye but then he continued with his work.
"So, how much is this worth?"
The old man opened his mouth and indifferently stated. "2500."
"Bullshit! A low-grade defective serum is sold for 5000, how come you want me to sell for half the price!?" Erian immediately got infuriated.
"That's the price I buy, take it or leave it." ignoring him completely, he continued with his work.

Erian was furious, but he didn't dare show it otherwise the man might not buy from him. Clicking his teeth.
He reluctantly accepted the price, dropping the serum by the counter. "Alright, alright. 2500 it is."
Old Jon took placed the serum on some sort of scale and after making sure it wasn't fake, he brought out 2500 and places it on the counter then continued with his business.
Clicking his teeth, Erian came out of the store with a sullen expression. But a smile suddenly appeared on his face once he was outside. "The old man thinks he can cheat me? Hmph! Hmph! He has no idea who is cheating who."
Serums contain a high level of nuclear energy which is the main catalyst for the serums, activating various effects in the body. Without that dosage of nuclear energy, the serums wouldn't be effective. The nuclear energy within that serum had been absorbed by Erian, rendering it useless. It wasn't much different than coloured water right now.
'I should head to the Dump Site.' endless amounts of used Syringes are there. He could select those with nuclear energy and bring them back home to absorb. With his system, he could now identify which syringe has nuclear energy by just looking at them instead of opening them up to check.
Thirty minutes passed by quickly. Erian finally made it to the site. The land seem to go on forever. It was very large and no one really had the guts to venture beyond three hundred meters of the site. Three hundred meters was the safe zone but beyond that, most people might not survive since the monsters lurking within would attack on sight.
Registering his name with the security, Erian's eyes were filled with excitement, walking into the Waste site. He wore a pair of thick gloves and shoes he had borrowed from the security for 50 units and wore them.
Ignoring the other scavengers who are also selecting their various Syringes, Erian walked past them headed a bit deeper. Currently, he felt as though he was walking within a pile of riches.
His eyes flickered through numerous syringes and various words popped up before his eyes.
