The explosion was caused by its skill effect called reactive armor… By creating a controlled explosion, it could block most attacks made by mana arts.

However, he was shocked to see the dagger in Vincent's hands again! He instinctively looked at the dagger that his reactive armor reflected and realized that it wasn't there anymore!
'What? Can it return to its owner on its own? Or is it an illusion?... No, my magic blade was destroyed. That attack was real…'
Richard frowned not understanding the logic behind Vincent's attack.
