In the courtyard, a drill was ongoing.

"FoxZone Employees, at attention!" Aisha ordered.

Instantly, the sea of Foxes came into ordered rows that couldn't have been more perfect. Heck, they were even more disciplined than the Dawn Guards themselves!

As Jack had proposed his FoxZone idea, she had argued that Fiery Foxes were known to be WAY too playful and couldn't do real work. But this scene proved otherwise.

"Y-you… how the hell did you manage this?!"

"Oh, you know. Headpats, and stuff."

Headpats?! She knew tamers who'd gone insane trying to tame those hyperactive orange devils! Even the Flame Lord herself would only give them vague directives!

"Pretty good, aren't they?" Jack chuckled.

"Woo!" (Hehe, Master praised us!)

Aisha wanted to retort, to complain, but reality stared her straight in the face. They could definitely work with this! There was perhaps just one issue.

"How will you deal with the language barrier? It's crucial for good service. Without it, you might as well give up right now…."

"Is that so?" Jack pointed at a nearby fox, the latter hurrying over.

Then, out of god knows where it took out a small pamphlet with a list of prices. The whole thing was a calculation based on Distance X Danger X Weight.

"Distance and weight are pretty easy to judge, but Danger… now that's another beast entirely. It will depend on the items carried, the path taken, and—"

"Yep, that's the part you'll have to figure out! You should be able to do that, right? Maximize the profit while Minimizing the Danger. I'll be counting on you!"

Aisha was already starting to get a headache. As for Jack, he was grinning. Why would he do the troublesome stuff himself when he had subordinates for that? As if!

But just as they were happily discussing…

"Woo!" (Incoming Flame Lord!)

Instantly, Jack played dumb. She still thought the FireFox God had blessed him, but how would she react if he exhibited completely different powers?! There were two options:

1. Remain nice to him, simply rescinding his Title.

2. Lock him up with the FireFox God until the latter took over his soul.

Perhaps he was being paranoid, but he for sure wouldn't try it just yet! Not before he had the power to defend himself, at the very least! So, he looked as babily innocent as possible!

Turns out she wasn't alone either… Behind her followed the fattest man Jack had ever seen. His clothes were probably stronger than the Dawn Lords for not bursting apart!

As soon as the duo arrived, the man's amiable eyes locked on Jack, inspecting him from head to toe, nodding at times. Why did it feel like he was inspecting a horse?!

"Woo!" (Gulp! It's the Herb Guy!)

Herb guy?! At first, Jack was utterly confused, but he soon understood everything. That's when the man opened his jacket, revealing… an incredibly toned body!

Fat? No, this guy had so much stuff chucked at his chest level! Herbs, acupuncture needles, some weird metallic tools, and even a couple of live magical beasts?! Who TF was he?!

"So this one's Jack, eh?"

He approached and started touching/smelling him as if handling an animal. This guy was a vet, wasn't he? Yep, 100% a vet! The pungent smell of fur on his body attested to it.

At some point, he even asked him to stroke his snake as he took out a rainbow-colored python. As he did, the thing kept switching colors as if unable to settle on one!

By the side, the Flame Lord watched anxiously.

"Did you find any issue?"

Jack wasn't sure whether to cry or to cry. Was this guy here because he had been unconscious after the Masquerade? As expected of the Flame Lord, her to-go-guy was a vet!

"Hmm, there's definitely something wrong with him. The energy coming out of him is strange, to say the least. I've only seen this in people practicing Ancient Techniques…."

Jack and the Ghost froze alike. Fuck! Was this guy unto them?! The Flame Lord's aura had already changed, fiery Mana oozing out of her being as if a volcano about to erupt!

But just as she seemed about to go wild…

"…but that's impossible for a baby, haha! You can relax, Flame Lord, such vile techniques are lost for a reason. Actually, I may know what might have caused the problem!"

At this moment, everyone on the scene held their breath.

"He spent too much time on sacred grounds with foxes. He needs to interact with people! His Mana should stabilize on its own once he does; I'm 99% sure!"

Countless sighs and woos of relief were uttered at the same time. Interact with people? This was BS! It was clearly the first one, but luckily his cover as a baby had protected him!

But, amidst a sea of relief, Aisha actually started trembling. A-Ancient Techniques?! Those were Demonic Techniques only practiced by the craziest of Heretics. Could it be?!

At this moment, she felt like she had gotten a glimpse of a truly terrifying being. Except, an instant later… all she could see was Jack's silly smile, and somehow it felt impossible.

'I'm probably just overthinking this….'

Ignorant to the young lady's inner turmoil, the Flame Lord was now merrily thanking the "Herb Guy" for checking up on her adoptive son.

Then, before Jack could even catch his breath, she gave him the most radiant smile! "Don't worry, Jack! I'll take care of everything!" Why did he have a bad feeling about this?

As for the cause of it all…

"Hey, kid, don't look at me like that! Sure, the Evil God's Body IS an Ancient Technique, but it should be undetectable… once you master it anyway!" he argued and kept going.

"This one's on your weird Fox Powers! Heck, how did you even get Fox Powers that aren't related to the FireFox god is the strange thing here! Anyway, how will you deal with this?"

"Sigh. Wanna bet she's looking at daycare pamphlets right now?"

"Pfft— Don't worry, kid, I believe in your acting skills!"

The Ghost was already chortling, the others trying their best to stifle a laugh as they pictured their Master/Mentor playing with children "his age".

But instead of showing despair, or even annoyance, Jack had a scheming light in his eyes instead. Curious foxes turned his way, awaiting his new plan.

"This is an opportunity! There's actually a place I've been wanting to check out for a while now, ever since a certain Young Lady barged in here casting fire dragons!"

"Y-you don't mean?!"

"Yep, the Magic Academy!"
