Aynor did not go into the cafeteria to disturb Baylor’s meal, but waited quietly outside. After all, he was the film emperor, and it was already risky to come to such a crowded place, so it was not advisable to make too much noise. But when Baylor finished eating and came out of the cafeteria with the three contact cards, Aynor immediately stood up from the flower bed and greeted him.

“What brings you to the military school?” The handsome alpha in the long trench coat asked first.

When he received Eric’s message, Aynor was discussing with the producer about a movie he was going to make. As he listened to his agent discussing his contract with the other party, Aynor turned on his terminal and saw Eric’s message, and his heart jumped.

Before Baylor had been in the military, Ewan was like a dragon hovering over the treasure, not giving a chance to get close to Baylor. Now that Baylor was at the military school, isn’t this an opportunity to get closer?

Baylor tucked the three contact cards into his pocket slowly, and he replied, “Come to class.” The smell of pheromone lingered in his nose, but Baylor subconsciously thought of Ewan. Well, he had made a pact with Ewan, not to hit on other’s pheromones. This smell had nothing to do with him.

With the coveted S-grade alpha pheromone gone from his mind, Baylor was in no mood to chat with Aynor.

“I’ll go to class if that’s okay.” Although it was not yet time, according to the trash layout of this school, he was afraid he would be looking for a while.

Aynor was a film emperor. In the film and television world which was as complex as the human heart, he could mix like a fish in the water. He needed to understand people’s feelings carefully to practice acting, so Baylor’s words, he felt, were cold. But more important than Baylor’s coldness was – “Are you going to be in school from now on? What about the military training?” The eyes that were hidden under the sunglasses lit up.

If he wouldn’t be in the military department later, wouldn’t there be a lot of opportunities to spend time together in the future?

“Classes and training together, two days a week…” After Baylor’s subconscious answer, he took a definite step and frowned suspiciously, “Why are you asking so much?”

Although he didn’t hear a completely satisfactory answer, it was good enough. Aynor hooked the corners of his mouth, revealing a smile that fans say ‘can make the angels fall into the mortal world’, under the sunglasses, the pair of peach blossom eyes curved and narrowed, “Of course it’s because I want to meet with you.”

In order to meet with Baylor, he had gone out of his way to step into the two places he hated the most, a military department and a military school.

“Why?” Baylor wasn’t particularly touched, but on the contrary, was puzzled. They didn’t seem to know each other very well either? “What did you come to the military department to see me for?”

Even as Baylor asked, Aynor silently raised his eyebrows and said incredulously, “Of course to chase you.”

Didn’t he think he was being obvious? Aynor declared, “I don’t just go all the way out to buy food for someone.”

“…”  Baylor was stunned by Aynor’s answer. Analyzing those simple words carefully in his mind, his eyes widened slightly in disbelief, revealing an air of confusion. “Chase me? What kind of chase? Why?”

Three questions in a row were thrown out, and it was clear that Baylor was very confused. Aynor hadn’t expected this reaction from Baylor. He thought Baylor would reject it outright, or he thought Baylor would be shy… But like this, a completely incomprehensible expression, as if his liking was comparable to the sky and earth – such a reaction was not within Aynor’s expectation.

“Chasing you, of course, is the kind of chase that wants to go out with you.” Aynor looked at Baylor’s face, he realized that Baylor might be different from the people he usually met. Normally he would never have to add such a sentence, but now he added, “As a lover… A couple.”

He was going to say mate, but after thinking about it, that was a bit too heavy. Aynor was very serious about this relationship, not like the old days when it was just for fun or for show, but a mate was a lifetime thing, and he wasn’t so naive as to think that a serious relationship would lead to a mate.

Baylor looked at Aynor’s sincere expression not as if he was teasing himself, and his eyebrows, which had been raised because of confusion, gradually compacted together. It’s not strange for a same-sex sentinel to bond with a guide, after all, it’s not the gender that matters, but the match between spiritual forces, a spiritual resonance.

And Baylor has no gender requirement for his own guide. In fact, it was extremely lucky to find a spiritually compatible guide, who would ask for such indifferent things as gender? But sentinels rarely fall in love, for one thing, they do not have a free heart, various tasks crowd their time, and secondly, who could fall in love with who?

There was an unbridgeable gap between ordinary people and sentinel, there would rarely be a serious relationship. As for between the sentinel and the guide, it was not a casual relationship, once the spirituality fit, it was a lifelong union until death, not to mention that guides were rare, the tower did not allow sentinels and guides to have private contact.

In addition, Baylor grew up in the environment, love for him only existed on TV and novels of urban legends.

But now, Aynor says he’s chasing after him. The urban legend appeared in front of him all of a sudden.

Aynor saw that Baylor had been silent, the expression on his face was even more wonderful, incomprehensible, amazed, torn… Aynor narrowed his eyes and asked suspiciously, “Hasn’t anyone ever confessed to you before?”

That’s not likely, was it? With such a unique look, no one has confessed, was that right? Not to mention others, has Ewan, who has Baylor’s exclusivity written all over his head and feet, not confessed either?

“No.” Baylor replied honestly, “I’ve beaten down those who have tried to do something wrong.” For example, those who had perverted thoughts towards him, and usually after being beaten down, they dare not.

“…” Aynor took Baylor to a sheltered boulevard pavilion, removed his own sunglasses, and his amorous peachy eyes looked intently at Baylor. Without the barrier of sunglasses, the surprise floating under Aynor’s dark eyes was clearly visible. But he kept his emotions in check and didn’t show his shock at the fact that Baylor had never been confessed to before.

Aynor gave a little pause to collect his thoughts and he asked, “Did Ewan… the general never confess either?”

Baylor stared, puzzled, “Why would he?”

“…” Aynor frowned, subconsciously wanting to ask ‘doesn’t he like you’, but the words were extinguished in a spark the moment they were ready to leave his mouth. With a thoughtful expression on his face, Aynor probably figured out the situation now.

Baylor seemed to be emotionally unavailable, and he didn’t know why, but it was clear that their general hadn’t made his feelings known directly either. Since that was the case… Then there was no need for him to poke through the window for the general.

“It’s okay.” Aynor smiled faintly as he whispered, “I misunderstood, but in that case, I’m happy, Baylor.” He looked affectionately into Baylor’s eyes, which were puzzled by his discomfort, “I’m the first person to confess my love to you.”

Aynor’s clear voice sank down with a little low tone, like a whisper of ambiguity, “I like you a lot, Baylor.”

Baylor’s eyebrows moved slightly, after the initial surprise, more was a kind of confusion. Baylor’s mind was in a fog, and his thoughts became confused as he listened to Aynor’s blunt, unconcealed thoughts. He couldn’t understand why Aynor liked him, was there anything about him that deserved to be liked?

Baylor’s brow furrowed in the face of such a rare thought, but he subconsciously remembered something else. He said decisively, “I’m not interested in your pheromone.”

He had made an agreement with Ewan that he would not hit on anyone else’s pheromone.

Aynor was stunned by this unexpected answer, but then he suddenly smiled, a smile that seemed to ripple under his eyes, and he said with a smile, “That’s better.” He said unexpectedly and deeply, “I don’t like my pheromone very much either.”

Reaching out, his fingers touched Baylor’s cheek gently, like a dragonfly’s touch, and left at once, “No need to rush to give me an answer, you don’t know me yet, give me a little time to prove my feelings.”

Baylor moved Aynor’s hands. Unlike Ewan’s, they had no visible calluses, and the big star’s hands were well cared for. He hesitates briefly, then shook his head, “No.”

“Why?” Aynor wondered.

Baylor replied, “I don’t do relationships.” He took a step back, distancing himself from Aynor, his gaze cold, “I don’t have the time for that kind of game.”

He knew that there were some sentinels who would go to ordinary people to fall in love for the sake of amusement. But that was a pastime. Baylor has never scoffed at such a pastime. His clear, lingering eyes revealed a seriousness to the point of almost obsessive emotion, like clouds dispersing, “I’m only looking for a mate.”

Aynor looked into Baylor’s eyes and he frowned slightly, “A mate?”

A mate was the bonded relationship between a sentinel and a guide. It was the imprinting of the other person in the spirit, immortalized. Baylor looked back at Aynor with a calm, almost mirror-like gaze, not expecting much, but knowing that if he were to have a special relationship with someone, it could only be this one.

He said, almost morbidly, “Yes, mate, the only way to leave me is to die.” Baylor gently hooked the corners of his mouth, and his tone became more and more frantic, even with an obvious yearning, “I would only leave them by dying, too.” He raised an eyebrow slightly and asked in a hushed voice, “Are you going to be my mate?”

There was no hint of provocation in Baylor’s voice, but rather an extremely serious inquiry.

The author has something to say:

Baylor: You want to be my mate? The kind that would die for me?

Baylor is emotionally stupid, but crazy.
