"Squeak..." something small and squishy rubbed against his cheeks.
"oh... so soft..." he nuzzled against the softness.
"Squeak, squeak~~ squeak.."
A wet feeling to his cheeks woke him up instantly. Yue blinked tiredly. Trexa's face was very, very close to his face.
"Squeak~"
"Baby," he kissed her tummy. "When did you wake up? I was super worried when you slept through a day and a night..."
Trexa happily patted his nose. "Squeak..." she sat up suddenly and ran to her cage.
Yue took this time to sit up and stretch his muscles. His back was still sore from yesterday's activities. He gently massaged his tight waist. "Seriously.. I should make Fan Xui massage my waist after our activities."
Sliding down the bed, he strolled over to the bathroom. Their house still had water thanks to the small pond that never dried. But it was not drinkable because of the meteor fallout. It was partially his mistake for not seal the glass ceiling properly. If he had, none of this would have happened.
He toweled his body with a small amount of water. Humming a low tune, He toweled his hair, but... he could not get the greasiness out of his long strands. "Fuck this. Having long hair is hard."
He tried combing it through, but sticky hair did not look good at all.
"Should I cut it?" he pulled over. It came down to his chest. The lower parts were drying where the middle and upper part of his hair were very oily.
"I'm cutting my hair,"
With the safety scissors, he patiently cut it. Of course, he could not see the back of his head, so he didn't make his hair too short.
In a few seconds, the floor of the bathroom was filled with clusters of his hair....
Yue dusted the small hair particles away and towel washed them. This time, he easily got the oiliness out. Short hair was much easier to detangle as well.
He peered at his reflection. The hair came down to his shoulders. It was slightly longer in the back, shorter in the front. This made it easy for him to pull it all up in a tight bun or a ponytail if he wanted to.
"Eren yeager.." he flexed his muscles.
The door slammed open and Tian just dully looked at his pose. "Morning…"
Yue laughed out loud. "Tian, don't I look like Eren yeager? See the hair, the bod..."
Tian blinked at him. "Don't know who he is.." she walked into the bathroom and nudged him out. "I need to pee."
As she was closing the door, Yue stopped it hurriedly. "Tian, wait. Um, it's embarrassing to ask.. But did you have the time of your month? We will be travelling and staying there for a long time. It will put you at.."
She banged the door close. "Idiot! I know what I'm doing! Just get ready!"
Pouting, Yue plopped on the bed. "I just asked though.. why is she so angry.." Trexa hopped into his lap and held out something to him excitedly.
"What is it?" it was something green and bead-like.
"A bead?"
"Squeak!" she took it into her small paws and acted like she was eating it.
"It's food?" Yue inspected the thing keenly. it was a small lotus seed. "It's for me?"
Trexa Gran nodded happily.
"Thanks," he tossed it in his mouth. The subtle taste of tartness and slight crunchy sweetness of the seed spread in his mouth. "Mmm, it's tasty. Thank you, my baby."
Trexa squeaked loud and hugged his thumb cutely.

Everyone assembled at the gate by 8 in the morning. Fan Xui, and Tian also joined him as they waited for his uncle to make an announcement.
Hary was also there waiting with his fellow teammates.
Yue frowned slightly. 'Hary is also coming with us? if Tian and Hary leave at the same time, who will be able to keep the balance of power here? This is bad...' he slightly leaned down to Tian. "Tian, is it okay if you stayed here?"
She looked up with a glare. "If you stay here I will,"
"Both you and Hary are leaving the barrack at the same time. As of now, the soldiers look up to you both and revere your strength. If you both leave, we will be left with an imbalance of power, and that could lead to an uprising."
Tian pouted. "You can't convince me. Not even your puppy face can. Ask Hary. I don't think he will be willing, either."
Yue pouted and walked over to him. As soon as he got close, the soldiers all looked at him with interest. "Hary, can we talk?"
"ohhhh Hary, he wants to talk~" the soldiers behind him cheered.
"Enough guys don't scare Yue away. I'll be back," Hary jokingly hit their heads and walked over to the corner with him. "What is it?"
"Hary, I want you to stay here,"
Hary suddenly smirked mischievously. "Yue~ are you worried about me~"
"I'm worried that if you leave who will take control of the settlement?"'
Harry just shrugged. "Your uncle is here. He can take care."
"You know why I'm asking you. I don't want what happened last time we return to happen again." Yue took a deep breath.
The last time they return home after rescuing Qian, it was a mess. Soldiers rioted as soon as they landed. Thankfully, it was only a small group.
But this time it would be different. Many had awakened powers.
"I don't want any unwanted accidents,"
Hary peered at him intently. "You can ask Fan to stay here,"
"People here don't know about his powers yet. Only you and Tian have established a small sense of fear in them. Even I can't do that. People respect you, Hary..."
"Exactly, those men right there. They put their trust in me to lead them. I can't just give up on this mission. Sigh... I can't Yue. I'm sorry. You should talk with your uncle about this,"
"Everyone gather around!" his uncle shouted, gaining the attention of the soldiers.
Yue worriedly frowned. "Maybe I should ask Fan to stay here. Maybe I should to...."
The three other generals were punished and removed from their posts. The military power was at its weakest right now. Anyone can overthrow it easily if they wished to.
Fan xi silently moved closer. "What's wrong?"
"I don't want to leave... I fear something might happen if we do."
"Good idea, let's not go," Tian chimed in.
"Silence!" his uncle glanced at them particularly.
Yue silently bowed his head.
"We have only three missions. Our primary goal is to get to the reservoir, find out what caused the water shortage, and resolve it. A team of technicians with be escorted by Hary and his team of ten."
Hary marched up front and stood close to uncle Wen.
"Secondly" he glanced back. Dr. Prisitsky walked up to him. "we have to find out about our new environment. Yes, it's safe in here, but out there we have no clue what kind of deadly plants and animals live. Our resident, Dr. Prisitsky who is an amazing bioscientist, will accompany you all. Yue and his team of two will take charge in protecting Prisitsky,"
Yue walked up front and stood next to Hary.
"Thirdly...." he paused.
Everyone peered at him nervously.
"Survive! Go out there, fight and survive! Grow in strength, grow your bond! Come back alive!"
The soldiers all roared.
"Food and water have been packed in your jeeps. Be sure to keep yourself safe and your teammates safe."
This time his uncle was looking at him particularly. "stay safe,"
Yue nodded.
"Into the jeeps! Form lines and take your places,"
The soldier marched to the prepared jeeps.
As they were standing there, Yue simply tugged at his uncle's sleeve. "Uncle, can we talk?"
"Hmm, what is it?" he gruffly whispered. His eyes were slightly puffy and his tone was more baritone than usual.
"Did you catch a cold uncle? Take care of yourself."
"No... I'm fine kid. What is it?"
"What are your plans for the safety of the settlement? I don't doubt your talent or leadership skills…. Just hearing your plan will ease my mind."
Uncle Wen sighed, massaging his forehead. "Commander Xi and commander Gus have their men on standby here and at the villa protecting the new farms. Nothing will happen. I won't let it fall apart. Just... Yue... why do you want to leave? It's not safe out there. You know it yet..."
Yue shrugged. "I want to know what's out there. I want to get strong. I have too many reasons, uncle. The main reason is, all of this is happening because of my presence. I want to rectify that as soon as I can,"
