Blackie casually walked over to the nearby warehouse space and glanced back with her tails raised up high. "meow.."
Now and then she checked if they were following her.
Fan Xui carried Yue around following the cat.
"Wait," Huijin ran after them. This time she changed tactics. She held Fan's hand with tear-filled eyes. "Please take me with you. I can do anything you want. I will make sure to satisfy you more than that…" she intently gazed at Yue.
Yue just pointed to himself in shock. "Did she just call me 'that'?"
"I think she did…" Fan Xui glared down at her coldly. "Did you just call my darling lover a thing?! Hmm tell me, girl."
The audacious girl was definitely scared by Fan Xui's glare, yet still, she looked directly into his eyes. "I can do better than him. How great can a man be in bed? I can satisfy you better. Just give me a chance. I can do well,"
Her desperate attempts were pointless, boring.
And mildly annoying.
Yue just scoffed and refused to look at her. "What are you waiting for? Blackie is waiting for us. Follow her,"
"Yes my dear," Fan Xui said in a coxing tine.
The change in his expression was drastic. He was frosty cold with that girl but with him, he was as warm as a spring breeze.
Somehow it made him feel better.
It was a petty victory, but….
'Who is counting anyway? I can feel victorious all I want. I snagged a great man and I love him with all my heart.' Yue hugged his neck tightly. "oh and you," he glanced at her. "I can satisfy him well enough. We don't need your service."
Fan Xui started walking away while the girl stood there glaring at them.
"Oh and free advice, Take it or leave it. It's better you learn to strengthen your own powers rather than depending on someone else. It will not help in the long run,"
"Bitch," the girl muttered under her breath and ran back to the warehouse space.
"Did she just!" Fan Xui was ready to smack her face.
"Come on, don't waste time on her."
"Meow…." Blackie gave them a dull glance, sitting in front of a shutter.
"I think she got annoyed by that woman." Fan Xui mumbled softly and walked close.
Blackie started to scratch the shutter door. Her sharp claws left huge tears on the metal door. "Meow~" she pranced around the shutter with an excited look on her face.
"Why is she interested in that place?" Fan Xui curiously looked at it.
Yue too was confused, but after a second of thinking, he remembered what this place was.
It was his storeroom he rented!
"It's my store room! Oh I completed forgot about it!" Yue jumped out of his arms and ran to the place. The lock was still secured. There were no signs of break-in.
He excitedly shattered the lock and opened the shutter.
"Look out!"' Fan Xui dragged him and blackie away hurriedly.
Yue felt wind whoosh past his face. A woody branch stabbed at him.
Fan Xui jumped back a few steps away from it. "What is that!"
Zou Yue took a deep breath. Of course he knew what that was… it was a mutated plant..
He had used this store room to keep his fruit plants and other saplings… he completely forgot about it right after.
His father was managing the place but since he too did not leave his house that often.
This warehouse was completely forgotten.
"Shit… I fucked up." Yue gripped the dagger.
The wooden stem-like structure retracted back into the open shutter.
He cautiously moved close.
"Meow! Meow!" blackie screamed loudly dashing to the space.
Fan Xui picked her up. Her fluffy body was slipping from his arms. Looking at the black cat in his arms he mumbled "Yue, don't get close. We can have the military clean up this…"
Before he could even finish his sentence Yue walked in.
Gritting his teeth, Fan Xui ran in after.
The whole place.. looked like a jungle.
Every square inch of the warehouse was covered in green lush trees.
Colorful fruits hung down in their branches.
Blackie happily jumped in his arms, reaching for a low hanging grape wine.
Fan Xui tightly held her in place. "Yue what is this place? Why didn't the army know about this?"
"This was my warehouse. I stored fruit saplings in here. Then I fucking forgot. My fault entirely." Yue mumbled, glancing at the fruits. "if they are edible, that would be great. Maybe we can ask Juda to move them over to all three of our houses, then we shall have a constant supply of fruits,"
Fan Xui looked at him peculiarly.
"What?"
"Did you forget?"
"Forget what?"
"You have space ability now," he said in a matter of fact.
"Yes, how could I forget that! I was planning on testing that!…." Yue paused. 'I think i'm too forgetful these days. Is there a problem with me?'
They both ventured into the forest-like room. The few trees had taken root in the sandbags and fertilizers he had brought and stored here. They were flourishing here to be honest. The sunlight here was minimum. There was only a small opening at the top.
With that light alone, these trees had grown majestically.
Most of the trees here looked normal…. Except one.
It was a willow tree. Its wispy branches were shaking and fluttering around.
"Meow~" blackie jumped out of Fan's arms and ran to it.
"Hey stop! Don't get close!"
Before he could get to her blackie jumped onto the tree rubbing herself again it's coarse branches.
"Fuck, Fan, zap it down. I'll try to cut it or break it," Yue rushed to it.
Fan Xui held him back. "Don't, take a good look." He pointed to the tree.
The willow tree was actually petting blackie with its branches.
The cat was enjoying it as well.
"What the actual fuck is this shit?"
The tree's branched froze. It sent out a branch to attack him.
Fan Xui pulled him away. "I think it hates you."
He noticed that too. Ever since the beginning, the tree was only attacking him. It did not bother with Fan Xui or blackie.
Yue frowned, deep in thought.
He thought back to the time he brought this willow tree.
"Did I even buy this tree?"
When he was at the plant nursery, he only got a few fruit trees and vegetable seeds. He did not buy a decorative tree like this.
"Oh, I remember! This tree was a freebie!"
The willow tree suddenly whipped its branches ar him with even more vengeance.
'But why is it so angry with me?'
Thinking back… the nursery owner gave this as a freebie, but he did not want it. He actually rejected the gift.
But the man forcefully shoved it at him.
"oh my… don't tell me I hurt the tree's feeling because I rejected it?! What insanity is this!"
