Chapter 300 300 - Loss
Prev Chapter Next ChapterFan Xui impatiently looked at the girls. They all were sitting in a group, chatting. It was loud and annoying. They were in a hospital for god's sake ann Yue was resting.
"ahem!" he cleared his throat loudly.
They all looked his way. "I'm happy you all have come to visit Yue but I think it's high time that you guys go home now,"
Tian just raised her brow. "You can go home. I'll take care of Yue I reckon you had a tiresome day and want to rest."
"I'll take care of him. I'm his boyfriend, of course,"
"I'm his sister, of course." She challengingly looked at each other.
Invisible sparks flew out of their eyes.
"Okay that's enough," Juda placed a hand on Tian's eyes. "we shall be leaving. I'll tell Yue's mum that he is with you in the barrack. Just call for me if you need anything okay?"
"No I want to be with Yue," Tian whispered softly, tugging at her clothes. "We'll both stay here,"
"Don't be stubborn. You guys are kind of in the way of the doctors. Come on, get up," she made her stand u.
Tian groaned loudly. "I can't believe I'm leaving him like this,"
"Fan's with him," Juda assured her while dragging her out.
That another blond-haired girl Lui just stood there in front of him. "You better take good care of him. This is the third time he ended up hurt because of you."
Fan Xui nodded.
She gave him a smile and walked out cheerfully.
The entire day he sat beside him waiting for Yue to open his eyes.
The next day Tian came to the hospital early in the morning with breakfast and clothes. She sat next to them with the pillow carefully held in her hand.
"You brought her here? How is she?"
"Difficult to take care of." she took out a small glass bottle of milk and a syringe. It did not have a needle tip. She took a bit of the milk in her syringe and fed it to the baby rat.
Trexa wiggled around and the milk got all over her face.
"Are you sure you can take care of her? It looks like you are killing her," he hurriedly wiped the milk of her nose.
Tian just gave him a deadly glare.
"I know what I'm doing." She fed the baby rat once again but failed to get the milk in its mouth. "Why are you so small.. her mouth is just minuscule. How do people even do this?"
"Give her here," Fan took the pillow from her as carefully as he can. With one hand under the baby rat's; chin he had a gentle held on her face. He then fed her milk drop by drop.
Trexa happily licked the milk with her little tongue.
"This is how you do it."
Tian gave him a dirty look. "I can do that too... I just gave you an example of bad feeding technique.
"Oh really. Then I just gave you an example of a good feeding technique. You should take note,"
Tian gritted her teeth. "I don't like this new Fan Xui,"
"Deal with it." he shrugged.
The little rat was drinking milk well. in just ten minutes or so her belly was bulging. He stopped feeding immediately. Baby animals like these tend to overfeed sometimes. It could be fatal for them.
"Did she pee or poo?"
"How would I know?"
Fan raised his brow. "You should know.. Babies like these can't pee on their own,"
"so?"
"You have to help them pee. Do you have a tissue or anything?"
"No, I'll get some" she left for the bathroom attached to the hospital section.
Little over a minute later, she came back with a whole toilet roll.
"You don't need that much,"
"It's better safe than sorry," she handed it to him.
Fan took a small piece of the tissue and gently rubbed the baby rat's pee pee. Little Trexa peed instantly.
Tian watched all his actions carefully.
"Now we have to let her poo as well."' he rubbed Trexa's back end and the baby rat pooed. "here you try it,"
Tian awkwardly held the pillow. "um gloves.. I need gloves... inst unsanitary...."
"Just use a thick wad of tissue. You won't get anything on your hand," Fan rolled his eyes.
"She just went potty. I'll wait a bit and rub her,"
They both sat silently.
Suddenly Fan sat up straight. "He moved!" he held Yue's hand. "Baby.... I'm here.."
Yue silently blinked his eyelid.
Fan and Tian anxiously waited.
Yue opened his eyes slightly.
"Yue..." Fan gently kissed his fingers. "How do you feel? Thirsty? Hungry?"
Yue just blinked. He saw only Fan's mouth move around. He could not make out what he was saying. 'It's weird...'
"..." Fan moved close and kissed his forehead.
Thinking that he was just sleepy, Yue sighed and went back to sleep.
A little later he woke up once again. This time both Tian and Fan looked like they were arguing about something.
Yue held Fan's hand gently.
Fan faced him with a bright smile. "..."
Yue still couldn't hear anything. 'What is this... I..' he touched his ears slightly. He tapped on it.
Still nothing.
'Shit....'
"Fan...." he gripped his hand tightly. "I can't hear.... I can't hear anything..."
Fan Xui and Tian froze.? They both moved their mouth.
"I can't hear you... it's... it's silent.. Everything is silent..." he sat up.
The bustling hospital was very silent to him. Everyone were running about, some screaming but he could not hear anything at all.
That's when he realize that he lost his hearing ability.
"Tian... Fan...."
They both ran out of the privacy screen and shouted.
The doctor came in a minute or so and checked his eyes and pulse.
When he was checking his ears, he gently snapped his fingertips near his ears.
Still nothing.
The doctor gave him a pitiful gaze. He said something to Fan.
They both looked shocked.
Fan looked enraged, though. he was about to grab the man.
Yue reached for him and grabbed his hand. "It's okay. It's okay... I can survive. I'm alive. That's all that matters."
