Chapter 325 325 - Infiltrated
Yue ran. He did not waste even a single second. On the way, the roads still had a few survivors running around frantically. Some were brazenly looting houses. He did not bother with any of them.
He directly ran to the market area where their main defense was focused on.
"Fan!" he shouted. His husband was standing up front dealing with the zombies close by. a few of the ability zombies were escaping their attacks and were running rampant.
"Yue I told you to go home!!"
"Well, I'm not going back until you start to attack the horde! You might not believe me but something tells me that if we don't attack the horde now they will massacre us!!"
"Yue," Fan gave him a disapproving look. "Please go back,"
"No," he did not just wait on the road like usual. He directly climbed onto the building's roof and made his way to the wall.
"Yue stop it! Come back here! Yue!!!" he heard Fan screaming behind him.
This was the only way he can make Fan Xui attack the zombies ahead of time. if they miss that timing, and if the sunset, in the dark night they would not be able to see a fucking thing. They will they left defenseless.
He got close to the wall and glanced out. The zombies were still waiting. The red hooded zombie was also waiting.
'The zombie king...'
He had heard about this legendary zombie. It was just a passing rumor though, and he did not believe in it. A Zombie king had orchestrated an attack on the S city base. Its attacks were so effective the whole base collapsed in just two days. That's how smart, this zombie is.
Peering at its pale face, Yue silently gulped. 'it must be at least level seven or eight zombies.... is it even possible to defeat it...'
"Yue," Fan grabbed his hand. "That was reckless and completely stupid move,"
"He is waiting.... we have to attack them now,"
Fan glanced at the huge hole that was being fortified by the metal ability users. "Just a few minutes... we need a few more minutes."
Yue gave him the look. "Fan please don't delay this... if they can create a huge hole on this wall, they can simply break through the wall. Don't give them the time and advantage. Just attack them already."
Fan gritted his teeth. "Fine. I hope you are right,"
"I hope so too,"
"Team one and team two! Move forward! Long range attackers move onto the wall! The rest of the armed men, you know the drill," Fan ordered.
Long range attackers were the snipers and fire ability users. They all moved up swiftly onto the wall in a neat line and started their attacks.
"Target the rood hoodie zombie. He is our main target!" Fan shouted. He glanced at Yue with a small smile. "Stay here, okay. Promise me you won't do anything reckless again,"
"I can't promise that. If you are at risk I will come for you,"' Yue kissed his cheeks.
without a word Fan Xui climbed up over to the roof and started his attacks.
The zombies still didn't move. A lot of the front line zombies were taken out by the snipers and ones in the back were somewhat damaged by the fire attacks.
Yet still they weren't moving.
Yue felt the fear in his heart heighten. 'are we too late… is it possible to defeat them now,' he glanced up at the sky. It was getting darker by the minute.
The moment the whole world plunges into darkness, the zombies will run rampant.
He did not simply just watch. He too joined the ones on the wall and started to shoot at the zombies. His main aim was the red hoodie zombie. It moved around a bit easily, escaping their bombings. It was skillful enough to hide from their sight by removing its red hoodie.
This kind of intelligence is similar to that of a ten year old.
'This zombie is dangerous.., fuck what are we going to do…'
As he was shooting he noticed a small bird fly over to him and jump in front of him. On it's feet was a small paper note.
He hurriedly removed the note and read it.
"dad they have entered through the west. They are everywhere."
Just reading this made his heart drop.
"Fan!! Fan!" he ran to his husband. "They have gotten in through the west. Chen says they are everywhere….." he grabbed his hand.
Fan took a deep breath. "They were not waiting to attack us. They were just here to grab our attention. Fuck!" team two! Move to the west perimeter of the wall! Move move move!"
Half of the forces were divided and ran towards the west side of the wall.
Most of the tankers were now stuck in the small road of the market. They had to slowly back up to access to the other roads.
Yue felt his breath hitch. "fuck… I'm so sorry Fan…"
"Hey, no one could have noticed this. Calm down. We can deal with this. where's Tian,"
"She is at the back," Yue nodded towards the back of team one. Tian was resting there panting softly. Her whole body was drenched in sweat.
"Looks like she can't join this fight. Tell her to fall back now. We don't have much time. Yue… you to go back home. At any moment, we might need to move out. I need you with your family to help guide them,"
Yue frowned deeply. "Hary is there…."
"Chen needs you,"
"I need you!" Yue grabbed his hand. "I know how dangerous this is. I won't let you do this alone so please don't ask me to leave. I want to be with you…. through life or death,"
"Shit.." Fan let out a small laugh. "Fine, you're coming with me."
They both dashed towards the west wall. There was a sizable hole visible even from the distance. This one was even bigger than the one they just patched up.
Like little ants the zombies crawled though fighting one another.
