Chapter 348 348 - The Betrayal
It was a very stressful night they all spent in that prison. Fan was beside him throughout all this so Yue did not feel that bad. His parents had already gone to sleep and zi Chen was sleeping with them. Yue had taken Zara with him in case she woke up late at night. He even had formula all mixed up and ready for her.
By the middle of the night, Yue heard a small sound of someone moving. He cracked his eyes open and looked around. Fan woke up as well but Yue gestured for him to stay still.
Jamie was slowly moving to a subtle corner without making any sound.
Yue had made sure to warn the ones keeping watch to be as subtle as possible, so Yue had put a few holes close to the ground. People can just lay down and keep an eye on what was going on outside.
It also gave the impression that everyone was asleep when looked in from outside.
Jamie secretly stood by a wall and gently knocked on it in a distinct way.
Yue closed his eyes and concentrated on listening to him. After copying Peng Peng's ability, he had enhanced hearing ability. He was able to make out the other person from outside the prison cell was knocking in morse code.
He simply decoded it.
Jamie was actually informing others how many soldiers they had and how much ammo they had left. he even went ahead and said that they had a lot of food stock left!
Yue's eyes slightly went wide. 'What is he doing? why is acting like this fuck. he has almost half of our food stock. if he chances sides in secret, we will be losing a lot of our rations.' He shot up and like an animal. Fan griped his hand.
but he gestured for him to stay there.

He grabbed a hold of him and placed a dagger to his neck. "Stop it now while I have the patience to deal with you," he whispered closely into his ears.

'What did they give him, huh? He did not even have the chance to talk to them. How did he change sides so easily.'
He dragged Jamie back and trapped him to the ground. "Now tell me who the hell brought you over? We have been treating you well, with so much care and respect and this I show you pay us back? We should have just left you in the base to be chewed on by the zombies…" he whispered into his ear.
Jamie whimpered softly. "I'm sorry… that was my dad…. He is alive. my family Is here… I can't just leave them to starve. I didn't mean to betray you all. I just don't want them to die. They ran out of food… they are just hungry…" he sobbed softly.
Yue pressed his head again the ground tightly. "so you planned to send all of my food stock to your parents? Oh, how novel of you." He slammed his head hard again on the ground.
Tian heard this commotion and hurried over to him.
Yue signed for her to call Juda here. they needed to immediately move all the food stock from this guy's space into her space. It was too risky to let him carry their things from now on. If his parents are here then let him stay here. they did not need a person who would change loyalties so easily.'
if Jamie has requested that his parents were here ad that he needs them with him, Yue would have easily let them be a part of their base. instead, Jamie chose to turn his back on them.
If this guy had talked to his father in a normal way, Yue would not have gotten so angry but this guy actually revealed their weaknesses and other stuff about their base which could easily weaken them.
'Fucking hell!' he dragged Jamie over to a private cell in a corner and closed the door after him. The doors were only a grail gate. so they had to cover it up with a cloth.
Tian came over with Juda and they both started their transfer process.
Jamie actually had half the stock of their food and ammo. But Juda was the only one distributing rations to others so his stomach had never deplenished.
Juda had an exact count of how many things were in there, as she was the one who helped him with packing his space.
They made Jamie spit out all the stuff out of his space and hurriedly transferred into Juda's space before anyone notices it.
This was not a small amount of food. Seeing this amount of ramen alone can case a huge riot between people. Even though now people are calm and collected, when they see such a large quantity of food, a strong sense of greed will develop and they would start to want more.
Yue did not want that at any cost.
He secretly made the transfer.
After two hours they beat Jamie until he spat out everything
Juda looked tired by then. Her space ability was used up to the brim. She panted softly, wiping her sweat-covered brows. "that's it. He doesn't have anything in his space now."

"no. Close your mouth. They are trying to smoke us with something." Tian hurriedly helped Juda close her mouth with a wet cloth.
