Chapter 350 350 - Direct Confrontation
Yue's heart started to beat so loudly in his ears, the guy was super-fast ad it was hard to keep up. Even that gust of wind that was a sign of his movement dissipated. He could feel his movement around him but he did not know what to do.

Since fire power can't keep this guy in check, he had no other way but to copy his speed ability and for that, he needed to actually touch him.
Something Yue learned about his second ability Is that it was quite finicky. Even though the powers were the same, there was a difference in the execution of power if he copied it from a weaker person and a stronger person.
For example, if he copied from a level five wind ability user, he would be able to use at least fifty percent of that power, and if he copied a level eight or nine wind ability user, he could be able to use fifty percent of that.
So, when he copies the powers of a stronger person, he will have a very strong replicated ability.

Even though he was half deaf he still got annoyed by his scratchy laughter. Sighing, he peered around.
He took out the sword tied to his belt and stood in the attack position.
"That looks nice. I bet it would be nice in my hands.' The guy shouted and swooped in to grab a hold of it.
Yue sped up his movement, sped up, and stood right behind him.
Looking at the empty space in front of him, the guy was stunned for a second. "where?"
Yue stabbed through his stomach from behind. "Well turn out you aren't very fast."
The guy slowly glanced back with his eyes wide in shock, "you.. how did you.. move so fast?"
"oh that… its a small secret." Smirking Yue finished the job.
After doing so, he joined the other soldiers in pushing back the attackers.
To their surprise, the attackers were all very strong. Most of them looked like they were teenagers. So it was highly possible that the prison base might have done some experiments on them to accelerate their power growth in a short amount of time.
Even though the teens were powerful, they still lacked the fighting experience.
Thankfully because of this the trained soldiers were able to keep them at bay from all the other civilians who were cowering in the prison hall.
Yue kept a careful eye on his husband while he was fighting as well. Since had copied the speed ability he used it to his maximum. He sped up and slashed at anyone who had the strongest powers. They were all kids so he did not mutilate them in any way. he just incapacitated them if possible.
As for the tougher ones he had no other way but to kill them.

Yue's eyes were peeled, looking around them. This guy could be another one of these super-fast-speed ability users. if this guy was anything like the when he just fought, then they would be at a great disadvantage.
Fan's powers were strong and magnificent but they were slightly slower. The thunder bolt that can burn people in seconds, takes at least ten seconds to brew in the sky. Even his ice ability takes time to form.
Yue tightly gripped his sword and stood in front of Fan.
"You stay back, this guy feels wrong," Fan pulled him back and protected him with his sturdy figure.
Yue stood back-to-back with him looking around them.
When all of a sudden, he saw a small blue flash of light. A small hole-like thing ripped out of the space in front of him and a dagger passed through it. It was so fast that he was not able to stop it. he could only watch the hand move closer to his face.
Yue instinctively moved all of his earth power to cover his hand with a thick layer of rocks.
Reh digger slashed through it creating sparks and just disappeared again.
"Fan! This guy can manipulate through space! Create an ice shield around your body! Protect your vitals!" just as he said that, he saw that small blue hole open up again and this time he heard a manic laugh from it.
The dagger came out again and it was impossibly close to his eyes.

Yue could not dodge. If he did Fan would be directly stabbed in the back of his neck.
He closed his eyes, ready to lose an eye.
But the expected pain did not come around. He opened his eyes to see a black material covering his eyes. he touched it hurriedly. It was the material was most familiar with.
