The next day Zou Yue got busy. He dressed up in a small frilly top and a pair of flared jeans and left for the day.
This morning he got the mail saying that the information he had requested had been received. But had to collect it I person.
He got a cab easily and went directly to the Private investigator's office.
"Little Yue, come come," an older looking man happily welcomed him with a hug.
"Good morning mister Cai Zheng,"' Yue smiled softly.
"Good morning to you to.... forget the formalities but lest cut to the chase shall we? I have found what you requested." The man walked him to his office and handed him the file.
Yue anxiously opened it. But as he read through it, his frown deepened. "What does this mean? Why is the Murong family searching for her?"
"I believe it must be to welcome her to the family."
Yue scoffed. "Why do you even think that? After they tossed her out ruthlessly, they don't have a right to call her back." He mumbled, reading into the details. The orphanage burned down almost ten years ago. Surprisingly the Murong family was innocent regarding this event. They were not involved in it.
Rather, it followed a different story.
The orphanage land was owned by a kind old woman who took in any number of kids she could. She was the one who found Tian Ai by the doorstep and raised her.
But her son did not share her kind disposure.
He was a greedy man. He wanted the orphanage to himself. So twelve years ago, he started to send many thugs to threaten his old mum to give up on it.
The old lady was resolute in her stance and refused to give him even a dime.
In fact, most of her wealth was written off to the kids she had taken care of.

After suspicious death ten years ago, the orphanage lost its stronghold. The thugs entered the place and burned it down, chasing the kids away.
"Wait a minute, Tian Ai was already adopted by a foreign couple. Did she get that inheritance?"
Cai Zheng sighed. "This is why I called you here... your sister Tian Ai.... she did get adopted by a foreign couple, yes she had a part of the inheritance too. but.. Later on she was deported back here,"
"What!! Why didn't uncle Wen get any news of this?" Yue anxiously walked around. "Why was she deported? Did... did her family not want her? Did they abuse her?.."
So many scenarios ran through his mind.
"No..... she was an illegal immigrant."
"I don't understand." Yue sat down in front of him. "You said she was officially adopted by that couple. Then how did she become an illegal immigrant?"
The older man handed him another document. "The Murong family is not without fault. They did not cause the fire, but they did cause her to be deported back here. Murong Yang erased all traces of her birth certificate, thereby invalidating her visa."
Yue tight gripped the paper in his hand. 'Those fuckers..... '
He held his aching head. "Is there any way to find her? Did you search for her?"
"I did... but sadly, I didn't find anything. She is off the system,"
"Exactly!! She is off the system. She must not be able to get a proper job or education because legally he does not exist!!" Yue screamed, crumbling the paper in his lap.
He tried taking a deep breath to calm his tight nerve. "Did you get me an invitation?"
"What are you going to do?" Cai Zheng carefully whispered, handing him the invite.
"Show them the taste of their own medicine. No one messes with my family!" Yue got up and reached the door. "Mister Cai... please keep an eye out for her. If you get any word, just let me know,"
"Sure things,"
Yue bowed to him and left.
The ride back was much more solemn. 'I need to finally see that shameless family of mine.'
He got the report that they have been searching for her.... but not for second did he believe it was out of good intensions.
They must have some kind of reason to search for her after so many years. But they might have some information that they might have blocked from the outside world. He needed that. Even a small info can bring him closer to finding his sister.
They might not necessarily answer all his questions.
'This is tough...I need to amp up my game.'
He tapped the driver's shoulders. "Can you stop me at the nearby designer store?"
"Yes sir," the man drove him over to Gucci.
Zou Yue got down and walked in with a stride. 'If I go as Zou Yue they might not answer, but what if I ask the questions as Tian Ai, the person they are desperately searching for, I might find out what I need....'
He caressed his long hair with a smile. 'Long hair really is convenient.'
