138 Chapter 138: Power of the Ainsworth
Alex stood with a cold look on his face as something burrowed out of the ground.
The purgatory snake was the same height as a two-story building which should be somewhere about 19.5ft tall at least or so. As it emerged the presence of the tiger threat level mutant beast spread, making the feet of many turn soft.
They staggered back and wore confused looks on their faces as they gazed at Alex. How the hell did Alex stand against something this terrifying. Even Mr. White and his team were stunned. The presence of a wolf threat level beast is nothing compared to the purgatory snake.
At that moment they realized a hole in its left eye filled with maggots from a festering wound. Everyone look at Alex in horror when they realized he once damaged a beast this huge and powerful!

Alex’s aura exploded from his body as he began taking cold breaths again. His eyes remained chilled as he focused on his breathing. Unlike before he wasn’t affected much by the aura of the serpent.
“They are both monsters” Mr. White commented when he saw Alex more than willing to take that beast on again!

The purgatory snake began curling like a spring, preparing to strike. Alex showed no fear as his body drifted to the side and he began running!
“The beast is after me... I will deal with it, just focus on the mission... complete it and help me out as soon as you are done” Alex screamed as he shot into the streets and ran madly!

The purgatory snake seemed enraged and ignore every other person and chose to chase after Alex. There is no way it would let someone who hurt it badly get away just like that!
Everyone was stunned at the scene and realized Alex and the beast had so much bad blood.
“We need to help him” Mr. White said with a stern look on his face but Silver simply yawned in response.
“If Alex says he can deal with it then he can deal with it...” Silver said nonchalantly as he began walking towards the lake confidently.
It seemed like he was sure the entrance to the underground facility was at the bottom of the lake. Most likely Silver had scouted this area the previous night and found it but how did he evade the detection of the purgatory snake?
That can be the only explanation!
‘The big four is really scary’ Mr White’s eyes revealed a cold flash but for only a second.
He signaled his people to follow and they followed Silver’s team from behind. Seeing that Blaze and the others weren’t on guard they were sure these people haven’t noticed their involvement with the Tyrant gang.
At the bank of the lake, Silver raised his hand and a holographic panel appeared in front of him. He clicked in some codes and suddenly the ground trembled as the ground beneath the shallow lake split open.
“Stay close!” Silver said as he jumped in and the team followed him!

They landed roughly but no one was hurt. Somehow the entrance had a way to sieve the water away as it poured In so they didn’t have to worry about getting drowned.
It was a narrow hallway and a massive metal door ahead. Surprisingly as Silver walked forward the door opened and none of the defensive systems were activated.

But if they came here why didn’t they just destroy the Enhancer prototypes and get it over with? Why go through all of this?
Maybe they did and they are baiting them here?

As long as the enhancers are here there is still a chance for them to carry out their true mission.

“We can’t do that” Mr. White said as he walked towards the other ends of the room which had a massive screen and numerous keyboards of various types. It looked like a supercomputer.

“Why destroy this now when we can retrieve information about the project enhancer and put it to good use... it will be a major win for us and the military” Mr. White said.
“Mmmmm... Make sense... After you get what you need we destroy everything then” Silver said but Mr. White didn’t respond, he only seemed to chuckle.
Clicking a button on the Keypad the entire room lit up and the enhancer prototype shells began opening, revealing the terrifying bots.
“I apologize but this is where it ends for you and your team... the Tyrant gang sends its greetings to the big four” Mr. White suddenly said as the room locked down and the rest of his team blocked the exit while the enhancer prototypes exited their pods.
Blitz and the others were stunned by the sudden turn of events but Silver didn’t look flustered. Instead, he looked amused, sending chills down Mr. White’s spine.
“You knew?” Mr white muttered.
“I was wondering when you will stop pretending....” Silver said calmly.
“It doesn’t matter... it’s checkmate for you!” Mr. White laughed madly.
But the smile on Silver’s face made him feel uncertain even after though everything has gone according to plan.
He wanted to speak but Silver cut him off and asked a question that almost gave him a heart attack!
“Do you know what the real ability of the Ainsworth family is?” Silver asked with his sly smile spreading on his lips.
