213 Chapter 213: Return of a God
Alex remained seated as he gazed at the mirror ahead of him, right now all that mattered is that he got his genes back and abilities. His eyes evaded everyone in the room as he focused on himself for now. He didn’t speak to anyone, and neither did he reply. He couldn’t help but admit that the gray hair of Jaric Gale does fit his original face. It gave him a strange yet attractive look! His eyes shifted to the only elder he could recognize and he spoke.
“I didn’t ask for the face, so why?” Alex asked and Jalic Gale frowned slightly.
“Your days of bearing the Gale family name are over. We have decided to let the world know the truth and have them understand why you are needed. The recorded clip of your final fight against the warriors of your world who chose to stand with the Danites has been playing all over again across the city... We want them to know who our honored guest is” Jalic explained with a pained look.
Alex understood why the man is acting this way. He wanted Jaric Gale to be remembered all over their world. Although he didn’t show his love for his son outwardly, Alex knew the man loved his deceased son, which led him to go this far.
Having the world know Alex is the one residing in the body of his son, would kill the little reputation Jaric Gale has built up for himself.
“Using their hatred for the Danites as a means of having them approve of me is quite smart... Anyway, Let it be known that Jaric Gale gave up his life willingly to save mine for a better future! That way he will never be forgotten” Alex said while gazing directly into Jalic Gale’s eyes.
The eyes of the elder wavered slightly as they became watery! He shut his eyes for a while and regain his normal composure before bowing as a way of thanking Alex for his kindness.

Apart from Jalic Gale, the other elders seemed to be wary of this special guest. While they have gone through the effort to make their research on the man named Alex Briggs, they weren’t too sure what he would do now he has regained his strength.

“As agreed beforehand I will work side by side with the Estos to regain their world. At first, I gave Jalic Gale a deal of ten years but I believe its best to amend that deal now” Alex said with a cruel look on his face.
Hearing this the faces of all the elders turned pale in fear. This is what they were terrified of! When Alex regains his power what guarantee is there that he will stay behind and honor his words. They were planning to put in some preventive measures but Jalic Gale kicked against it, claiming it is best to build their relationship with him based on trust.
“What do you have in mind?” Jalic Gale was the one who answered. His eyes seemed clear to show how much he trusted Alex.
“My contract with you is ten years, I wish to make it indefinite... I will stay here for as long as it takes to liberate your world and in exchange, your people will help me invade earth and reclaim it from the Danites. With that in mind, I will rule the earth and we will both form a strong alliance and a resistance that can battle the Danites even without the help of the alliance” Alex said calmly.
His eyes seemed calm and clear as he spoke. It felt like he understood the implications of his actions clearly. His offer took the elders by surprise as their grim looks turned to that of smiles and cheers.
“There is something else you want” Jalic has spent little time with Alex but he already understood the nature of this youth he once called his son.
“My terms in our previous contract still stand... I will not be anyone’s puppet or tool. My words will be considered greatly, especially when it comes to battles which are my specialty. Outside that, I have no other issue...” Alex shrugged his shoulders as he spoke.
Hearing this everyone around heaved a sigh of relief and the day continued in a happy tone. Alex soon asked about the previous day, and what happened after he blacked out. He soon learned that his final clash with the purgatory snake of this world left its scales shattered thanks to the suicide explosion of Damnation and his final attack that claimed his hands. In the end, he realized with its shell shattered the beast took no chances and retreated.
He actually fainted while standing after the clash so the students and the beasts couldn’t tell whether he was conscious or not.
Alex found it funny how an unconscious him standing scared away the beasts and prevented them from approaching. He was glad to hear that the teleportation platform was set up and reinforcements arrived and the area was swiftly claimed. Only then did they realize he was unconscious!
Jalic Gale asked him about his change of mind and why he is not in a hurry to return unlike before which Alex replied with a stern voice.
“My returns mark the end of a lot of this... A battle will take place and so many will die, including my son. That is if he chooses to stand in my way. But I just don’t want to take earth I want to have the strength to keep it. That’s why I need to get stronger here!” Alex said.
For him to be able to stand against the advancing human race now he needs to update himself as soon as possible. From the little, he knows, what these humans consider the peak of the martial technique is simply the starting point in those worlds.
By the way, doing all of this will take some time giving his son some time to grow. He had no intentions of fighting a boy and killing him over things he cannot comprehend. When the time comes and his son has become a man capable of thinking things through, he will try to talk him out of this. If that doesn’t work and he needs to fight then so be it.
